Before the disaster there was a catastrophic failure of the feds to keep the levy secure. If it had been owned by the people it protected, it would never have been allowed to fall into such poor repair.
Outrageous! And I thought the 2nd amendment violations during the rioting and looting were stupid? "Hey, there's robbers and rioters! Quick! Take away the innocent peoples guns so they can't protect themselves!"
That kind of "government-care" and "aid" is counterproductive. It makes people dependent on the government for their well-being. People cannot fend for themselves. It does the exact opposite of what we are told it is supposed to accomplish.
