just bought me an 08 sherrod gt (black) and thinking about messing around with the exhaust. Have you done anything to yours? Im like you, i think magnaflow sucks so im tryin to find out what my options are...b4 i screw it up that is lol.
@matts324 Yeah i put an offroad x pipe on it it sounds alright. I have some videos with it. Im probably fixing to pull the trigger on some pypes m80s.
@rodthestud well the sticker price was 28900 but i traded in my 06 gt with 60k miles and now only owe 13 even. Its a 2008, only 8k miles with the sherrod package along with 3 grand extra done in mods. And i just bought a JBA offroad xpipe to go on it, hoping that it gains a lil more power and sound.
@matts324 I paid 39,000 for mine in 08. I love it. I hope your happy with the xpipe. It will give it a good sound. Was your 06 paid off. To only owe 13,000 is awesome. I still owe 29,00.
@rodthestud I hope so too, Did your's gain any throttle response or power or did it make it worse?? Yeah my 06 was paid off and thats the only reason i traded it in but i love the 5 speed! damn! well that makes me a feel alot better about my payments lol! Appreciate it, ill subscribe also.

@rodthestud got the xpipe in but its taking longer to get them put on that i expected. Supposed to be getting it installed tomorrow, id do it myself if i had the time and equipment lol. Hopefully putting some vids up sat or sun.

@matts324 Thats awesome but i got a question, did your side pipes line up good, because mine didnt and i had to take it to another muffler shopt to get them aligned, it was a pain in the ass putting on that xpipe. This is the last time i buy a car with side exhaust. Im looking into getting a viper as my next vehicle. Cant wait to see some vids.
@rodthestud shit no they didnt fit at all, this was the most pain in the ass xpipe that ive ever had installed. Haha i dont blame ya, but hell yeah man a viper sounds pretty badass to me...def gonna be faster than our stangs.
not tryin to start a fight here, but this is what i think... i would of kept ur 04' gt. cleaned it up a bit (nothing to fancy like a supercharger unless you really wanted to), maybe just a cold air intake. then put a SLP Loudmouth 1 exhaust on it and that would of been 1 badass mustang!!! now ur 08' mustang is nice and maybe with a new exhaust it could be ok, but im just one of those 99' - 04' mustang kind of guy
I love my 08 gt but i sure as hell miss my 04. It sounded real nice. I only owned it for 3 months though. It was my first mustang ever. Now im in love with mustangs. I plan on buying me another 04 though. I miss my baby too much.
im a LS1 guy and I think that the exhaust on ur car and the sound is sick dude, too many people want too loud, its ust loud enough and respectable enough to sound tough still....
