The look of the female character is only going to be available in Korea or also in Europe and America ?

@MiDiary there is ONLY ONE VERSION of the game all options will be available for you no matter what region you live in i.e. you can live in America and make an Asian looking character and vice versa. ANet just chose options that looked more Asian so that the crowd and G-Star (which is in Korea) could identify with. also the armors shown are just ONE of the MANY higher level sets of armor available.

This is the oldest game that hasnt been released yet. Sadly, i think many of these innovative ideas will be stolen and used by other more aggressive MMO's companies. Lets stop making videos and trailers and concentrate on getting this game out before the graphics, ideas, and interest become dated.

Personally i choose a grindy mmo with lots of content to be unlocked over a mmo [WorldOfWarcraft] that gameplay involves 60% traveling from continent to continent to finish a quest.

Every gamer wants the mmo that doesnt have grinding at all = They want to be lazy even in game. Plus they want interesting quests - Dungeons/Areas that doesnt repeat, epic graphics, physics. I laugh at these people and sometimes try to imagine them in game industries as programmers haha.

Well actually, i think it's staged. GW2 did proclaim their character customization will HUGE.

I think they premade this asian looking character for the Korean showcase. You dont HAVE to look asian, but you also can.

If you read their blog, they clearly state, they just did the human race for the Korean presentation. They still have to record all of that kind of stuff for every other race and translate the text. So like @CJI517 says, there isn't a "Korean version."

Guys.. Stop being so fucking stupid.. If you knew anything about Guild Wars you would know that one of the games had Asian influences.. So its not odd to have them in Guild Wars 2.. Also there isn't a damn "Korean version".. Everything you see will be in the game.. No matter what language its in..

@Matixsz Well it's different demo from the gamescom one (this is the actual build) but all the things they added...they added facial animations, reworked all combat and cinematic animations, added cloth and hair physics, ironed out the animations bugs and it seems they've upgraded the texturing as well, iincreased the overall speed of the game and changed the human storyline section from the gamescom demo (you go for the bandits instead of visiting Divinitys Reach) and this in what 2-3 months?

Characters look more like those seen in the standard Korean games. Does this mean that only Koreans can use those skins? This sounds unfair don't you think?

@kramt28 It'll end up in both. In a much earlier showing they did they mentioned that the creator looks smaller in their show builds then it will be in the full game. They are keeping it compact for show purposes. It'll likely allow you to appear as whatever ethnicity you please.

Don't get me wrong, I love Guild Wars 2 a ton. Check out my comments on other GW2 videos if you don't believe me.

And asian faces/hairstyles of course is fine.

But what the hell is going on with that dress? That's absolutely ridiculous. I loved the "realistic yet still fantasy" feel of the armors GW2 has been doing - i.e., not bikini mail for chicks. Actual plate.

Did you know this is a Fantasy MMORPG? Just makin' sure.

That being said, not all armors have to be limited to "make sense like in the REAL WORLD" when it's a damn fantasy online game :| I'm not trying to be hostile towards your taste, but I'm tired of all the little girls complaining about "skimpy bikini armors" while not complaining when male armors show a little bit of skin too. In my opinion, they should have both for all genders and races because it's a FANTASY MMORPG.

P.S. this is nowhere as ridiculous as "Blade & Soul."

That MMO has busty female models all over the place with big asses and oiled up shiny bodies. The armor is just as worse lol, I saw one that was basically a thong. The armors in Guild Wars 2 aren't profession-locked like in the first game, so your Elementalist can wear any of the Light Armors in the entire game, just simply don't buy the one shown in this video if you dislike it so much.

@palmtree1337 There are LOADS of different skins for gear - and you can switch between them, and of course not everything will appeal to everyone. I am guessing they are using this skin to appeal to the wider Korean audience, who is accustomed to female toons looking like that (or something). You won't have to wear it - you can just switch skin if you like the stats but not the look. I made a clip about that on my channel. Feel free to check it out.
