I know you mentioned the 182 to be your blush/bronzer/highlighter brush but what do you think of it as a powder brush? I'm thinking of getting it and I want to know if it's really worth 50$ ...

hi Lisa, thanks for this video, I dont own any Mac brushes...yet, but I do have lots of bobbi brown, bare essentuals, Smashbox, Tarte, Trish McEvoy and my all time favorite best face brush ever(but much too expensive) the Darac Tourquam magnetic face brush. This brush is unique and amazing and sooo soft, u have too try it to believe how awesome it is. I do have to get the mac stippling brush, I have had my eye on it for a while. I have way too many brushes right now tho.

@Lisasz09 i don't know if you are in the uk or not but if you are then the victoria jackson brushes are really nice. the kabuki brush is a soft as BB but it doesn't shed. there aren't really any holiday sets but there are smaller (shorter handeled) versions of the most popular brushes.

@kakaroxox Bobbi Brown brushes are AMAZING! Full size or travel size! MAC brushes are not comparable to BB's, but BB is way more expensive.

the 182 is absolutely AMAZING. i have the eco tools kabuki, its not as dense not as fluffy. i have tried so many kabukis none as great as the 182. its so soft, so great for buffing, & AMAZING for powders:) get it!

If you take care of MAC brushes, they last over 10 years! I know people who have had theirs that long (:

so from what ive heard, they are worth the investment in the long run!

i have the 217, I ordered it online and when I got it maybe 1 or 2 of the bristles were fraying. Now, there's about 4 or 5, does your do this over use, I used it some but I've only had it for maybe 2 weeks? Please let me know, thanks so much!

oh that is a shame- I will say all MAC brushes are different because they are hand made! Take it back to the store they should exchange it for you!

you should try wrapping toilet paper over the bristles after washing it.. i kno it sounds wierd but it helped me!

it fluffs out after you use it for a while. I have a new one and an older one and the older one is way more fluffy than the newer one! :o) Enjoy!

I have the 182 and have washed it 2 days ago, but now it smells really weirdly and is still quite damp in the centre! Any advice on how to dry it faster and how to remove the smell!

Also it sheds quite a bit for me, any reasons for that?

I usually wash my 182, then squeeze all the water out with a towel and then I wrap it in toilet paper overnight and it usually dries in the morning! I hope that works for you! I will saywhen you condition it- that helps with shedding! :o)

I'm going to buy the 187 and the 116. I've been thinking about if i could use the 187 for powder and faoundation, and the 116 for blush. Would that be good?

I think the 187 is a great idea (it doesnt work well with powder though) also the 109 is a great multi purpose brush (better than the 116) you can use the 109 for foundation, creams, powders, contor, highlight and blush! Enjoy whichever you choose! :o)

hmmm that is hard- I think you atleast need one for the face- the 109 is great for a lot of things and for the eyes- the 217 is great!  :o) ENjoy!

I did buy a few brushes a while ago from an art store and they were good, but I gave them away- I like my mac so much better and i foudn the art brushes to be scratchy after a few uses! :o( There are some great companies online that dupe the mac brushes if you are on a budget! :o) Enjoy!

Gosh, I am so annoyed with my 116 brush, it's fantastic in every way except it sheds like crazy! is there anything one can do about this? It's so annoying seeing as it is an expensive brush and all, it shouldn't shed!

I got a tip on here about shedding brushes.  I was told to put conditioner on it and it does help! :o) I hope it helps you!

gr8t to know that the 187 doesnt shed as much as i have a GOSH Professional brush which is a 187 dupe but it sheds and it drives me bonkers that my face has hair brushes on it yuk!!! Rose romance and double dazzel coming out tommorow here so looking forward to checkin these collections out! :) wish the mac collections would come out at the same time in the uk xox

yes the 187 does shed but not as much as the 109! if your eyes are to small for the 224- the you will love the 226 when it comes back out! :o) The 165 is a great brush also! Enjoy them! :o)

I will put thsi on my list to do- i will say that it will take a bit to get it posted so for now- I just tap my brush in the Cream blush (multiples- I drag it back and forth over it) the in swirll it in to the areas I want to apply it! I hope this helps! :o)

how do you get your 187 so CLEAN??? i wash my brushes every week and the white hairs get stained a light beige color from foundation? i guess it's not a HUGE deal but i want the brand new look. also, i have the sephora platinum stippling brush... but i heard it's exactly the same, i've felt both... and it's only $36!

ey there, love your hair! it is so unfortunate they jack up the price in the philippines so much at the mac store here they add a full 72% on the suggested retail price, and the importer hides behind the shipping and customs dues so ya the mac 187 costs close to $60 here, sorry just ranting.

i love my 134 and I do use that a lot. If you dont use yoru 134 I doubt youw ill use yor 138 it is bigger than it looks online! Ohh a 130 what is thatt one like? Great video! What do you think of the MAC 226? Unfort, I missed the boat and was not able to get it, however, they are repromoting it with the "Colour Craft" collection!! :) If you have not checked out that collection, OMG--do it..the MSF's sound super promising! :)

a lot of the shedding is when you use liquid products with the brush it sheds! It isnt mac's fault it is the user (mine) :o( It is a high quality brush! :o)
