@justgivemethetruth Ha ha! I never caught that before after decades of hearing it. He should have said out instead of down. But it is still my favorite line, as stupid as it is. THAT'S WHY I LOVE IT! LOL
Listen people ... this beautiful ballad is 7 minutes and 34 seconds of the best live rock n roll music you will ever hear in your life!! All the players in this band played awesome together in unison to deliver what you just witnessed. I wish I had seen this concert in person, but this video will definitely do. Thank you for posting.
The Rockers of Today should have been well schooled in: Classical Music, Blues and Jazz. The great bands from England in 1964 had this training. Here are some of them: Rolling Stones, Genesis, Yard Birds , Zombies, and the list goes on. Today's rock sounds no more than Pop without the rock in it. It sucks as much as disco had become. Tom Petty and his band did everything to destroy disco in the 1970s.
One of the the truly great bands of all time. Great musicianship, creativity, and great live performances. I think record companies took the away the creativity of music in order to make more money. How sad when money has become more important than art. Well thats capitalism for you. I'm just glad I saw all the great bands. Zep,Tull,ELP,Yes,King Crimson,Genesis,Pink Floyd, etc. All in their heyday. Those memories are priceless.
@331paradiddle ART? Sorry you are so ..... . Bands or members play for two things.
Art, & they go away soon, by couches or not (good or bad) or women Ask any lead singer; I'm studio drummer Got a few "hangers" But I made my money in the studio. Thank my gods.
@331paradiddle I couldn't agree with you any more. Money has taken over the music industry like never before and it's causing great bands and musicians to go unrecognized for the most part. I wish I was as lucky as people like you, and my dad, to be able to be there for all those great bands in their heyday(born a bit too late in '87) but it's a good thing music is recorded so all that great timeless music can be heard and appreciated by generations like mine and the others to come!
@Marckittleson you are correct. Ian has stated in many interviews, he never got into drugs. He said he just becomes this character on stage involuntarily. Cutpurse, Minstrel, Genius
Amazing performance. Martin Barre is one of the greatest guitarist of all time. His solo blows most rock solos out of the water. Classically trained and unpredictable his guitar laying is out of this world. BRAVO.
Genius stage presence! Watch his awareness of the cameras throughout and at 2:56 the way he bumps the mic forward and catches it! Notice his presence as he leaves the stage during the solos and the incredible detail in timing, getting back to plug in his guitar and approaching the mic. (At the exact second required) This is a real lesson in musicianship and stage presence. John Glascock was one of te greatest natural bassist in rock. Barlow amazing. Any plans for this particular show on DVD?

@331paradiddle Record companies have always been about the money.
It's the people that are responsible for the change music has made over the last two decades or so. A turn for the worse I might say.
