  • Sadly this report never mentions a VRB or even that it is a flow battery comprised of two tanks of fluid electrolyte. Nothing technological was even mentioned in this video--wouldn't want to scare the viewers with that wacky science now, would we? More evidence of the downward spiral of ignorance our nation is in.

  • They Vanadium Redox battery sounds a great solution for a stand alone building.

Combined with a little wind turbine and a full PV solar roof you probably have enough energy forever..

But is the Vanadium Redox battery expensive ?

And where can you buy it?

  • It would be nice to have a home sized unit that could be charged during off peak hours and used during peak hours. No more running the dishwasher after midnight to save money on your electric bill.

  • Yes, this is possible. If you look on The University of New South Wales website, you will see they have built a Vanadium Redox battery that powers a Golf Cart. There was video of it running but I am having trouble locating it.

  • since you seem to understand this, i live in America of course, applications for this? house? house with solar panels could you recoup the cost and how many years would it take? electric car?
