you need to work more on accuracy and actually hitting the notes and making it sound clearer and not so much about speed. try using a metronome. goodjob though

nice try bud...yes you are off key almost the entire song, but i admire ANYONE who makes an attempt to cover jm who covers jimi...this is not an easy song to cover either elec or acoustic...your guitar licks are mostly right on...keep workin' on it...you've got the right idea...this is one of my fave songs on my fave jimi album and i've been listenin to it for 40 yrs, so i think i know wherefore i'm speakin from...

mayer does sing it a high voice, but you are off key almost the entire song, especially when you try the high part. your timing is off alot, but thats a really hard song to play on acoustic.
