Not only does he score more goals internationally, but in the LPF as well, and it is harder to score in a league that is far more defensive(in the premiership you don't have a defender on u until u have crossed half-field). villa is more technical and more class torres is just fast and has finishing. the goals he socres are jut breakaways and he slots it in the lower corner. villas goals are more class he can score from short or long range . he is not a one dimentional player like torres i would only chose torres over him if we were playing a one foward system and needed someone fast to run all day. but in the conventional systems villa would be my choice
I think Villa is a bit better, but they're different types of strikers so its hard to compare. Torres is more your classic center forward who's big, strong, fast, and good in the air. Villa is more of a deep lying striker who has great touch, links play, makes lots of opening runs, and plays off his teammates. Maybe Torres could go down as the better player, but I think Villa is just a little more gifted, especially in front of goal. All comes down to preference really.

Torres is over-glorified because he plays in the premiership,the most commercial league in the world. However, many Spaniards like myself will agree that Villa is the best. Not only does he score more goals internationally, but in the LPF as well, and it is harder to score in a league that is far more defensive(in the premiership you don't have a defender on u until u have crossed half-field). Also, Villa helps distribute the ball, unlike Torres who depends on his teammates to feed him the ball.

Villa is only better for spain because of they way they play.... short passes to the edge of the box.... an this just happens to be where villa plays..... if they decided to play more balls behind the defence Torres would have a far superior goal scoring record..... overall i feel that torres is a beter striker and all round player than Villa.

they are both good, but villa is probably a better finisher than torres. i say this because he has a far better goalscoring record. villa has played less games for spain than torres, but has scored more goals for them than torres. i think when people say that torres is the best striker in the world it is either liverpoool bias or premier league bias.

Torres is better , not saying this coz im Liverpool fan but this guy has done brilliant first season in prem league , but this season has had injury hit season so far but has scored in big games for us if we had Fit Torres all season long we would not be strugglin like this , Torres can finish and is quicker then Villa and is clever , Villa is class too i would love to have both but Torres is a master!

villa is more technical and more class torres is just fast and has finishing. the goals he socres are jut breakaways and he slots it in the lower corner. villas goals are more class he can score from short or long range . he is not a one dimentional player like torres i would only chose torres over him if we were playing a one foward system and needed someone fast to run all day. but in the conventional systems villa would be my choice

I think Villa is a bit better, but they're different types of strikers so its hard to compare. Torres is more your classic center forward who's big, strong, fast, and good in the air. Villa is more of a deep lying striker who has great touch, links play, makes lots of opening runs, and plays off his teammates. Maybe Torres could go down as the better player, but I think Villa is just a little more gifted, especially in front of goal. All comes down to preference really.

Fernando is better, in terms of pace and is younger than David Villa... David Villa is better in clinical finishing, and have a good touch... For me, Fernando Torres is better than David Villa, no one can forget the way Nando scored against Germany in the UEFA UERO 2008 FINAL, the way he outmuscled Philip Lahm was incredible...
