they are most definately from sydney... well Bon is originally from Perth, but the band started in sydney and played their first gig at chequers in Sydney with Dave Evans as their singer... That pub is now called the Mandarin club and is just off George street in the city. Acdc was already formed and Bon became their singer in 1974 (im pretty sure) and this happened in sydney not Melbourne, so whoever says their from Melbourne is wrong...

Lol thats so good to hear. i am the same and i see AC/DC as my religion there isnt a day that goes by that i dont listen to them im 17 and AC/DC will be with me all my life. they are with me when i play guitar and these guys are the reason i play. so May you enjoy the Truest of all Rock n rolls for as long as you live

they are most definately from sydney... well Bon is originally from Perth, but the band started in sydney and played their first gig at chequers in Sydney with Dave Evans as their singer... That pub is now called the Mandarin club and is just off George street in the city. Acdc was already formed and Bon became their singer in 1974 (im pretty sure) and this happened in sydney not Melbourne, so whoever says their from Melbourne is wrong...

correct! Moved to perth when he was five... my reply was in regards to where in Australia the band members first lived... Bon first emigrated to perth... the band got their start in Sydney not melbourne so no need to be smart snake cause you're telling me things i already know but thanks anyway

Bon is actually originally from Kirriemuir, in Scotland. Angus and Malky are from Glasgow. Bon then moved to Freemantle about 15 miles out of Perth

Yeah bon was born in Scotland, but he learned how to sing IN AUSTRALIA. He grew up in Australia, he met Angus, Malcolm and Phil in Australia, he helped form AC/DC in Australia, they started in Australia, Australia`s music industry helped promote them round the world, they had their first hits in Australia. Back then in the 50s most Australian`s were born overseas but migrated to Australia. We have this same argument in Australia. Some say they`re from Sydney, others say they`re from Melbourne.

Born in Scotland from Scottish parents......he was proud of his Scottish roots and never forgot them. Like Angus and Malcolm they are all proud of their Scots roots having been born there.
Fact is the AC/DC were born in Australia and if that makes them Aussie then so be it but it's a myth in reality.
Australia disowned AC/DC and AC/DC in turn rejected Australia for petty narrow mindedness.
