No, it appears every time you enter that section of the field. you'll hear a chime that is the Yeti becoming aware you're there. It runs away after that chime, so be quick.

Keep trying; rare chests are random after all. There are four possible rare treasures that can appear for any location.

How to make that green chest appear? I have 2 ordinary chest instead. And i found emperor ring thanks to dowsing hat.

Green chests can appear wherever normal brown chests appear in a level whenever you enter (equip Treasure Hat for higher appearance rate).

Red, gold, and blue chests are one time only though.

In other words, if you reenter the area, you have chance to make green chest appear, or you have to reenter Tymeo Mountains?

You have to beat the first boss in Dracula's Castle, and they give you a glyph that lets you go through those walls, then you can complete the maps for Tymeo Mountains/Misty Road.
