Hi i have question...are they going to be releasing new figures of the new episodes in theaters like this one..I'm really confused...for example say episode 3comes to theaters are they going to be releasing new figures from episode 3....also are the phantom menace figures only in the vintage collection or all collections other then the cloneswars???and also how do you organize your figures do u like put the vintage episode 1s toghther or all episode one??? Just curious, why don't you collect the higher end star wars collectibles.

Such as Premium formats, miquettes, 1:1 busts, cinemaquettes an even 1/6 figures.

I realize some of the statues are pricey but as a fellow star wars fan, they are well worth the money spent.

I will definitely pick this one up as my first droid figure. Carded AND loose. Can't wait, i can't believe they have not even appeared in my area. Great great review! thumbs up. I absolutely love the weathering, and yeah the head and backpack looks a bit tooo clean.

Ok lets have a look, Head= Not new, Backpack= New because it doesn't have a gun holder, Body=New because it has two holes in it, one for backpack one for antenna. Arms/Legs= Old, gun= not sure. So its a bash up of new and old parts

Something I dont like about this figure- The backpack Doesnt hold the gun, like the older ones do, which is pretty lame.

@SithLord229 Great review! I personally think this is a new battle droid, because the Geonosis Arena droids had slightly better articulation. The ONE complaint I have, is the backpack doesn't have the slot for the gun to go on, which it should have the gun on their backpack when they are folded up. again great review, and I think this is a great Battle Droid! I hope they re-release this mold for more uncommon droids, like Security, Pilot, Geonosis, and Commander Battle Droids.

great review! this seems like a partial repack to me as you said, since i got one that has the same exact articulation and has the folding up feature from tpm blue ray commerative pack, but as you said the head and the blaster look a little different, and the one i got has the antenna accessorie, but not the backpack

I wonder how much does a figure from this wave/collection set you back? Because over here in Romania figures from this collection can set you back even bout 20 pounds which seems excessive and their price has skyrocketed since the 30th anniversary...

Vintage figures in the UK set collectors back between £7.99 and £8.99 depending on the retailer. Independent stores don't tend to charge much more than £10, which for some is the line at which the prices start to get a little crazy!

Nice review Steve, I really can't make out Hasbro at times, great card backs, pretty much fully articulated figure, weathered body and limbs.....and then a spotless head and back pack. I guess you could always swap them out or weather them yourself?

I USED to collect a lot of Star Wars things. I collected a Episode III Special trooper pack that included over 4 different figures that were AWESOME with cape and removable helmets, etc. I collected a lot of battle droids, a few STAPS I believe they're called, I collected a dwarf and regular spider droid, I got about 40ish clones, 10 jedis, 2 siths, I BELIEVE I got an ATT for the droids and a Dropship and ATTE for the clones, and me and my brother would have awesome battles. That as long ago.RIP

hay Steve do you know that there is a Star Wars blue ray movie figure line already out. it comes with figures from all six movies. Episode 1 comes with Qui Gon Jinn, Obi Wan Kenobi, Darth Maul and a battle droid somewhat like the one you showed us.

Yeah, I checked out Jedi Temple Archives and they have a comparison of the Vintage Battle Droid & the Droid from the EP1 Blu-Ray set and it's clear that this Droid is brand new! I completely forgot about the hole in the backpack, I didn't even notice!
