I saw this movie when I was very young and for many years I thought this really was the true history of the Lincoln assination. It wasn't until years later that I realized what an unhistorical POS it really was.
One of the most, if not THE most accurate films to come out of Hollyweird.. lincoln was betrayed right and left, and though Booth was the assisin for sure, the men behind him are the real surprise!
I have always thought that Stanton was involved. There is no other explanation for this actions. Whenever politicians are involved in "classifying" information of no military or criminal investigation, you can bet that they are involved in something illegal or treasonous.
Whether or not Lincoln was a good president: about the only thing he did was win the war to keep the Union together. In a lot of ways he was the President Bush of his day! The Confederacy was just trying to exercise their States' Rights - no different than The TEA Party, or The Patriot Movement today. The Confederate flag was The Stars and Bars, today's flag is the "Don't Tread On Me" Rattle Snake. Please Heavenly Father let there not be a war!
Sunn Classics....classic 70's thks for uploading this...would love to see the Bigfoot one or the on UFO's.. i remember those to playing on CBS back in the late 70's
I remember seeing this in theaters when i was a kid. I remember bits and pieces of it. This movie came out at the time Sun Classic Pictures made In Search of Historic Jesus, In Search of Noah's Ark and my favorite. The Mysterious Monsters - Bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster and the Yeti. lol Great memories. I had almost forgot all about this movie. Star Wars came out at the time, then Superman, ect. Thanks for posting.
This movie came out when i was eight. My mother and her friend who was white was going to go and see it but at the last minute they went to see STAR WARS instend.
Lincoln was a wanna be tyrant in the making, NO freedom loving American would ever suspend habius corpus, and do other things he did. The best book on this subject is called 'America's Caesar" and it deals with every myth about this political lawyer boy and his brainwashed ill informed "public school" supporters. Lincoln knew too much, and was tied into too much corruption, thus he got dealt with. English bankers and the Rothschilds funded BOTH sides of the war, in hopes of destruction.
@EducatedRebellion101 : War is war, my friend.; you'd do whatever it takes to win the fight, even if it requires breaking or bending some rules to do it.
@DNchap1417 - BULLSHIT, war is an elitist political game, where tyrants start them, and the little brainwashed peasants do the dirty work. Henry Kissinger said it best "military men are like animals, with their lives to be used as NOTHING more than pawn pieces in a political chess game." Lincoln was a TYRANT and an American Caesar in the making. His whole public school myth is BULLSHIT, he was never poor, he grew up in the largest house on Aristocracy Road in his hometown.
@EducatedRebellion101 Are you a complete idiot or what? In the first place, Henry Kissinger was a nazi asshole who had his nose so far up Nixon's ass he coulkd have popped his hemhorroids. In the second place, Abraham Lincoln was the greatest president this country ever had. I'll bet you're a card-carrying democrat who likes the nigger in the White House now, and you probably think Bill Clinton was the most moral man in america!
@DNchap1417 - If you are defending a lawyer boy politician with over HALF A MILLION deaths on his shoulders, then you are the personification of a brainwashed "patriot" type doing anything for your elitist "gods" on the political stage. England and other nations had LARGER slave trades and NEVER needed a war to stop them, & neither did we need a war to stop a smaller slave trade. Even Lincoln himself is on public record admitting the war was about KEEPING THE UNION TOGETHER, NOT about slavery.
Finally. Someone found this and posted it. I have not seen this since 1985 on television. Thanks so much for posting it out here for us to see. Also nice to hear Brad Crandall narrating again as he did with so many Schick-Sunn Classic movies.
nobody ever wins in war. :(

None of them really look like the people they're suppose to be! Stanton looks like he has a skunk's tail taped to his chin!

I saw Abe Lincoln in Bill and Ted's excellent adventure...he didn't get killed. This is all illuminati disinformation.

Some truly fantastical facial hair on display in this motion picture - and Whit Bissell!

This is just another person who goes to make money off of conspiracy books and movies. I doubt even they believe themselves.
