  • lucky to walk away from this.

  • holy shit, 215lb snatch!!!! ha, its alright I guess, kind of a warmup for most lifters but the dude probably did 75 of those air humping kip things right before this.

  • Holy shit, that's the worst form snatch i've ever seen. It was almost a split snatch..Then that guy in the background! fuck, I don't hate on crossfit like a lot of people, whatever floats your boat, but they should really keep the weights submaximal and go for reps or whatever.

  • crossfit coaches don't go through the same training course as oly coaches. I'm sorry

  • lol at the spinout in the background

  • 0:33 - 0:40 OMFG LMAO

  • LOL

  • Dudes are snapping all their shit up

  • crossfit does a lot indeed but mostly useless stuff and only to look ''interesting''

like '' watch us look how cool we r '' oh and bout the olympic lifter that lifts same weight as blair?

well the olympic lifter is not only twice as light but its also probably a woman;)

  • @ISRAELKING100 You right but, the oly lifter couldnt beat him at any other area of fitness, do you agree with that? Im a soldier & trust me, there is no right or wrong way to carry a person or throw equipment into a truck wen you getting shot at. I dont see you commenting on war videos saying how he threw his pack into that chopper with a rounded back. he had a job to do and he did it. Seriously, I know a lot of crossfit videos look shocking, and dangerous, but seriously, lifes dangerous.

  • @JT2FIT CrossFit is about general physical preparedness, being ready for anything. so yea, were not the best oly lifters, but im confident in saying that a good crossfitter would be able to turn their hand to a broarder range of activities than most other athletes.

  • @JT2FIT crossfitters r inferior to other athletes, they dont know how to train, use incorrect form and why the hell would u use incorrect form and cheat and hurt urself just cuz real life has no rules!!, real athletes outclass them in everything, the Olympic lifters to that also

  • @JT2FIT the Olympic lifter can beat him in all types of fitness when it comes to strenght, probably also run faster in short matter of time cuzof the incredible leg power

there r no roles of carry a person and equipment in war zone but there r rules when it come to training, wich means it has to be done CORRECTLY, carryin a person with rounded back in war gives no license to cheat in training and fuckin up ur own body, plus puttin others in danger, this is also why the Olly lifter wins in all

  • @ISRAELKING100 You honestly have no idea do you (about anything). Training has rules, haha, can I ask who wrote them? Haha, ur obviously closed minded and it limits you. It's a shame. NZ's top Olympic lifter, who I lifted with in the weekend owns a CrossFit gym. I've been fair in all my comments but ur clearly one sided, and that my friend shows ur an egg head. Just watch ESPN this year and see what get's more coverage!

  • @JT2FIT cute to try to sting on me... :)

there r no rules in training indeed but there rules in performing exercises, derived from experience, falling and getting up, studies, experiments etc.

these rules have to ensure physical development, these rules also attempt to keep training safe, without people gettin hurt, or damaged for the rest of their life or die..

  • @ISRAELKING100 You sound like a complete idiot. Possibly the worst grammar i have ever seen. Just saying.

  • @Flaberblaber ah boohoo a crossfit defender?

  • hows that mcl and acl doing? my goodness there was no hip drive and pop at all

  • Fuck crossfit.

  • "crossfit" LOL

  • yo guys if u want to see a real weightlifter watch some vids of 'Dmitry Klokov'

    he is a reall badass:)

  • One way ticket to snap city

  • @SBMike01 hahaha

  • i hope that was 215 kg and not lbs.

  • @1kaptenqk its 120 kg...:P

  • @ISRAELKING100 one red, one yellow and one green on each side

    red=25kg yellow=15 green=10

  • @ISRAELKING100 so it's 215 lbs? that's under 100 kg.

I don't even do snatches, I clean 70 kg for my push presses, how does someone who trains for it not do way way way more - in a competition no less.

  • lol even at the end the guy shakes his head

  • *And by critique, I mean get on to my ass.

  • I do crossfit and I have tell you, my trainers would have critiqued the hell out of me if my form looked liked this. I've seen enough bad crossfit videos on youtube to understand why people dislike it so much, but try to understand that not every crossfit facility is the same. I would not feel comfortable competing in front of a crowd if I honestly knew my form wasn't top notch.

  • gayfit

  • what a fucking doucebag... and the guy in the background, hilarious! I've done crossfit, guess I had better coaches because we actually focused on technique more than anything else.... thank god I don't look like that

  • Dumbest shit I've ever seen.

  • doing different types of athletic training is fine really, it will stimulate the body definately but it should be done with responsibility and knowledge, i do martial arts, power/weight lifting, gymnastics and some bodybuilding schedules but i always makes sure i know what im doing and i get the proper help and advice of experienced instructors, i ALWAYS check form and dont go higher in weight or level if my form and safety suffers from it

  • ...and luckily, this being crossfit, the weight was light enough that no harm was done.

  • 0:38 blair is thinking to himself "what a noob"

  • I like the sign in the back: "...our domination of other athletes.".

    lol

I wonder if they know that there are 110 lb. women who can snatch more than this?

  • @JacktheDaniels

Almost all your best crossfit competitors are guys who couldn't cut it in their chosen sport.

  • @IskurBlast

    I don't do Crossfit, dude.

If you read my comment carefully, I was poking fun at them.

  • @JacktheDaniels I wonder if you realize that this was the last thing he did after a brutal workout. Keep commenting on things you know nothing about. Pussy

  • @Flaberblaber

Doesn't matter if he's dogshit tired; it's still not a good snatch.

I know a guy who had the flu and felt like a trainwreck, but he still dragged his ass to the gym anyway and snatched more than this (then threw up).

Basically, what I'm trying to say is

    a) it's still just an OK, but not good, snatch, and

    b) go fuck yourself

  • and its very disturbing and actually scary the ''missing lifts '' happen all the time there on crossfit

  • bodybuilders r way stronger, they lift heavier, they do more reps, they do more sets and they have form. despite most of them use roids they r stronger

though im not much into bodybuidling, im more into power/weightlifting combined with gymnastics

  • i cringed when I saw his right knee losing stability. yikes.

  • As for your crossfiters telling us serious lifters to mind our our business it is our business. You dumbshits are going to, and have, kill yourselves. Eventually there will be a massive lawsuit. Crossfit and the gyms that allow cross in a box will lose because you cant release negligence which is what this is. In the aftermath gyms will prohibit any kind of powerlifting or Olympic lifting in their gyms because of you stupid douchebags and we wont have a place to train.

  • What an epic competition for the title of worse snatch ever. Just when you think it couldn't get any worst the douche in the back drops the bar on his head.

  • Hmm a guy has an uncorrected muscle imbalance problem that almost causes him to snap his right leg doing an advanced lift taught to him by some guy who learned it in a weekend seminar and we are surprised.

The crossfit motto. If you suck at the lift just keep doing it till your shitty form almost kills you.

  • this 40 second video sums up crossfit in a nutshell

  • That would get three white lights at any weightlifting competition in the world. He caught it overhead with locked elbows, and he stood it up without his knee touching the ground. A good lift is a good lift.

  • this vid shows how amaturistic crossfit is and it totally has no sense at all, this guy lifts the weight up by almost snapping his right lower foot and ankle and he has extremely bad form then in the background some one almost dies cuz some fuckin wannabee coach tells him after one week of crossfit he can lift it easily, damn this cult is a fuckin joke

  • @ISRAELKING100 its called pushing your limits to full potential...

  • @SteezBow u actually seriously believe that? none of these people in this vid is pushing their limits to their full potential, they r fuckin killing and injuring themselves by following orders from an ''instructor'' that knows nothing, the guy that lifts the weight does it with most terrible form ever and its way to heavy for him and he almost snaps his own fuckin leg, then the weight would fall on him, end of story for him the guy in the background almost dies..

  • @ISRAELKING100 Yeah I do. They are pushing their limits because they are barely making lifts or with the last guy missing lifts. You know hes pushing himself because if he wasn't, he would be making all his lifts. This CrossFit games doesn't look like its very advanced. I don't know why his knees aren't out in his setup, the bar doesn't hit his hips, doesn't have weightlifting shoes, snatching on concrete and an upward slope.

  • @ISRAELKING100 His knee almost hit the ground because his foot was way back when he pinned the bar at the bottom. You said the weight was way too heavy for him??? The weight is never too heavy. You sound like a pansy saying the weight is too heavy haha. He made the lift which means it was too light. He needs to push himself farther. This is a sport, not gay fuckin bodybuilding.

  • @SteezBow they aint pushin their limits cuz they dont even know how to do it the proper way they do crossfit cuz they fail in real physicial training, his form is like terrible and they just try to do as heavy as possible with the cost of bad form and gettin injured, just cuz they want to lift weights wich r too heavy for them and call them selfes the ''best athletes'', u say too light? well if he tried proper form he could not even lift 50% of it, oh and bodybuiders r wayy stronger...

  • @ISRAELKING100 You can push yourself and not know what your doing. What is your definition of a snatch with good form? I hope its not a muscle Snatch. Explain to me why YOU think his form is bad.. I say IF his form was perfect he could do more weight then hes doing in this video.. and let me laugh for a second of you thinking bodybuilders are way stronger.. HAHAHA what a joke.

    Watch this video: /watch?v=s6ngiOtKv6g

this guy weighs 150 pounds. and there is 242 pounds on the bar.

  • @SteezBow allready two things his back is like rounded and his knees way to much forward furthermore he lifts the weight up with his back round and it seems he also launches it with it, by putting his knees to much forward he puts so much strain on it and also almost lose his balance and dropped the weight on his head as he snaps his leg in three parts, with strict form u actually do LESS weight, thats called practise for a looong time and not thinking u can do it after a month

  • @ISRAELKING100 You need to do some research on Olympic Weightlifting. If he had better form... he would be doing more weight. In an exercise like this you need good form to be able to pull the bar with all you got and have the speed to get underneath it. When you watch world records of Olympic Weightlifting, you will notice their speed almost never changes. It might just barely look slower when its a PR but that's just because its weight they have never lifted before.

  • @SteezBow if a professional olympic weightlifter would lift like he does, they might would do heavier, or the weights would fall down like an atomic bomb, though the judges dont allow bad form cuz of safety measures, somethin they clearly dont do here on crossfit, the guy in the background is a good example

  • @ISRAELKING100 My Olympic Weightlifting coach is also a CrossFit coach. No matter how good your form is you can still get hurt very easily when dealing with maximum weights. The world record holders get injuries all the time.. A professional O Lifter will never look like this guy. Its not about safety. Its all about doing the lift correctly for the judges. everything needs to be locked out, it can be pressed out. The guy in the background missed a lift, it happens all the time.

  • @SteezBow yes injuries happen but safety and corret lifting is demanded with pro-olympic lifting, the judges want that, not only cuz for the correct form and judgement of it , also for the safety of the competitor, they dont want someone on the stage who doesnt know what he is doing and is gona hurt himself, the guy in the background didnt missed, he couldnt lift it simple as that, the weight was way and way too heavy for him and some noob told him he should do that weight

  • @ISRAELKING100 What happen to the guy in the background also happens to the best in the world. The best in the world would just miss in a safer way. This is in competition though and I'm certain that he really wanted to snatch that weight. That could be the reason it came down on him. Judges don't give a shit about you. If your competing I sure as hell hope you know what your doing. Yes he did miss the lift. If you watch him he was too forward when he pinned the bar makin him miss

  • @SteezBow it happens rare to the best of the world, he wanted to snatch it cuz the so called coach brainwashed him he could do it while the guy was thaught bad form. as for pro- olympic competitions, they do care bout the lifters, a noob will not be allowed to compete otherwise accidents would happen all the time wich also result in bad reputation of the sport and it was not a missing lift, he could not lift it and had no balance it almost felt on his head...

  • @ISRAELKING100 You have no idea what you're talking about. The best in the world can miss lifts 3-6 times before they made a lift. In our win-win society it looks like they only make lifts. Coaches tell Pro O Lifters what to do as well. Noob or not, there competing because it will make them better at the sport. Accidents happen all the time. Lifting in front of a crowd can make your intensity and adrenalin boost way higher than in practice which makes it a good reason to compete.

  • @SteezBow when u watch the competititions u see they get 3 turns 3 chanses to lift up the weight, before that they warm up with lighter weight behind the stage, the coaches who tell pro-olympic lifters what to do r also actuall reall coaches with experience and knowledge, the crossfit coach has no idea what he is tellin this people and in crossfit they have this arrogant attitude they think allready outclass a pro-lifter after a few months, crossfitters should stick to their cardio workout

  • @ISRAELKING100

Yeah those $1,000 dollar weekend seminar trainer really teach all their clients how to bail. /sarcasm

Accidents do happen that is true. But I've never once seen a crossfiter fail on an Olympic lift who actually looked like anyone had ever taught him how to safely bailout of a failed lift. Once agian crossfit doesn't give a shit about safety.

  • @IskurBlast crossfit does not go together with safety, knowledge, experience, true skills and power, , crossfitters cant do any other sport so they come up with this cult

their arrogant attitude is the most annoying, they try to move weights with most terrrible form , cuz they know they cant actually lift it or move it and then they say ''we r the best''

  • @ISRAELKING100

The first thing I teach any young lifter to do after I have taught them the lift is how to bailout of the lift. Crossfit guys talk about 20% slop and metabolic boost instead.

  • @SteezBow Find a video of said "best in the world" dropping that weight on their head.

    Newsflash: YOU WON'T FIND ONE!

Also, those "best in the world" are under strict supervision from top-notch olympic coaches. They know when they're lifting too much weight, to bail from a lift safely, and properly. How about crossfit "coaches" actually go through the same f'ing training as oly coaches, so these "competitors" will be taught how to do these lifts PROPERLY!

  • @Jaymon1203213 Agreed 100%. I feel bad for the amateur CrossFit people now. Most of them will never feel the magic of doing the lifts correctly.

  • @Jaymon1203213 i agree with you. but i personally have seen many accident of clean and jerk, pro or not.

  • @SteezBow crossfit is not a sport its just a cult for frustrated people who cant compete with real athletes, the so called trainers have zero experience and try to brainwash a person he can lift at olympic level after allready a month or something, true sports takes YEARS of practise such as powerlifting, gymnastics, bodybuilding ..

crossfit causes only situations like what happens in the background of the vid..total failure and life danger.. without any professional coaching

  • @ISRAELKING100 responsibility, knowledge, determination, mental power, kindness, discipline=YES

cockyness, arrogant attitude, thinking being the best and coolest athlete and better than everyone, foolishness, zero knowledge, unresponsibility, actually think being a pro athlete while being a douche= NO

  • @ISRAELKING100

your a fucking joke, when you get on that level reply back. All you dumbshits on here talking shit about crossfit are little pussys and dont have a fucking clue of what it takes to get on that level......... fucking clowns.

  • @nlancaste it is not level, its just a lame excuse for fitness and all the crossfitters just wish they were at the level of a real athlete as matter in fact they think they r better than real athletes lol

  • @ISRAELKING100 You obviously have no idea what CrossFit is then do you boy. It's about getting work done. Not looking pretty. I admit, it's bad form for a snatch. I also know that he can probably run faster and jump higher that any Olympic lifter that lifts the same weight. You need to be fit across so many movements in CrossFit that they will rarely look perfect. It's not wrong, there are no rules on how to snatch. It's just a different goal to an oly lifter.

  • @JT2FIT its not bout gettin work done, their form is terrible at each ''exercise'' they do and any olympic lifter that lifts the same weight is almost twice as light as him and does it actually with correct form;), jump higher? nah, the same lifter has also legs that r each allready stronger than whole blair himself, run faster? doubt it and even then its fon a olympic lifter so easy to focus on a sprint, cuz of their incredible power,

  • @ISRAELKING100 Mate I belong to OWNZ, Olympic weightlifting New Zealand so I know the rules. In Oly lifting your 100% correct. In CrossFit the goal of using the Snatch is different. I know were not really going to agree so I'm not phased. The form is bad, no secret, but I'd say thats 110% of his 1RM, not the safest lift, but he got it up, and in CrossFit, the sport, then it will get him points. It's that simple. Ive seen Oly lifters get injured with incorrect technique too.

  • @JT2FIT u know when i cheat on benchpress or squat i also lift more weight than i would do with correct , safe , muscle developing form but i know it aint right at all, i wont improve myself and i would only hurt myself and then one day kaboom! spine nerves snaps!!, its very easy gettin points just by doing it incorrectly the goal of a snatch is to lift it up in the way it should be done, i practise martial arts for like my whole life and do fitness for years so i know what i say

  • @JT2FIT oh and exercises MUST be done correctly and yes its wrong when it doesnt happen and there r rules how to snatch, to increase security and body development,

crossfitters just want to attempt everythin that real athletes do and then claim '' hey we do it even better and heavier''

  • World record snatch!

Can't believe this guy beat Salimis new Oly record!

Lol jk, this vid is stupid

  • crossfit lulz

  • Ahahahahahahahahahaha faggot!

  • it's amazing how in this video, we manage to see the title of worst snatch ever passed on 3 times!

  • aahhhh the hipsters of fitness

  • Everybody needs to relax a lil bit

  • If only the guy in the back would have died. Sad to say, but if that's what it takes to end the CrossFail games, so be it.

  • watch?v=KML9MFhOJOg Here's a video of a 105lb 10 year old girl doing the same weight.

Keep the "can't compare this to weightlifters" comments coming.

  • @RandomStevie The video you linked shows a 16 or 17 (they say both in the video...) girl doing 85 kilos, which is less than this video. I think this video is a terrible display of technique, but at least give a video where the weight is actually equal :P!

  • @EndlersaurusRex Sorry man. Then again, that girl is half the weight this guy is, doing like...15lbs less. I'm sure her PR is >215 though.

  • So close to a ruptured ACL right there

  • A guy screaming about snatching 215 and another guy almost dying trying to snatch the same weight. This video is all kinds of hilarious

  • I like how the chick with the camera runs frantically towards the last guy to take a picture, then he nearly kills himself, she goes "Oh shit!" and runs off to the next guy.

  • his knee was so close to exploding dear god

  • @49fortyniners What the hell does that have anything to do with this. I should make you give up your food stamps for being so stupid.

  • Wow...not very intelligent people in here at all. Who knows what he did before this. And CrossFit isnt about being having the heaviest lift. Besides, nearly all of you couldnt do what he just did. Get back to your video games

  • @Flaberblaber I can lift a lot more than he did! Who are you his boyfriend?

  • @misztal2112 What about the rest of the workout. Strength is such a small part of being an athlete. Good family friend was a really good power lifter, and was fat as hell. Sure he could lift more than anyone i know, but thats it. Crushed in everythig else. Just like you would be too. Dont have time for you liberal pussies. Be a man, take a trip to Savannah and let me know when you do. In the mean time, get back to your dungeons and dragons and the occupy movement!

  • @Flaberblaber The snatch requires more athleticism than any other crossfit exercise. Good point about the powerlifter being fat and slow, but the snatch is a weightlifting movement and weightlifters like myself are fast as hell! All I'm saying is that this guy sucks at snatching and I would whoop his ass in any aspect of sport; strength, speed, power, agility.

  • @Flaberblaber I agree you probably don't have time for "liberal pussies" 'cause you're too busy responding to every person that ever commented on this video. Normally I avoid these types of flame wars, but I found your comments very enticing. Are you avoiding the question? Is he your boyfriend?

  • @misztal2112 You must have been lonely without my reply for so long. Sorry, end of fiscal year approaches and i was busy hustling and making money. No, he is not my boyfriend. Bet you are elated to hear that as you seem to be quite fond of me. I must say, checked out the videos on your channel, good lifting. My only point was, just because one aspect of CrossFit is power lifting and MOST crossfitters may not be on your level of those lifts, doesnt mean that you are better than any of them.

  • @misztal2112 CrossFit is not just about the oly lifts, as i know you know. Still doesnt excuse the poor form and execution in that particular video though i do admit.

  • @Flaberblaber

First time I ever snatched I did 225 and beyond. And back off on my fucking video games.

  • Umm, do you ever work your legs? Perhaps a little more work on the support structure would allow you to lift that weight confidently.

  • olympic weightlifting in vibrams is a crime. thats why he almost lost his footing. buy some lifting shoes

  • @gordo1893 Why the fuck would you do a WOD in lifting shoes dumbass?! This wasnt the only thing he did. You are a moron. Fat boy, go get a shake and stick to the video games

  • i was like holy shit this guy is great then i noticed its 215pounds not kg :(

  • how much are their plates worth? don't understand these stupid crossfit plates do they just do it so it looks like they lift more?

  • @horsepoofer How much are the plates worth? Think you mean weigh dumbass. The plates, or bumpers as they are called are the same size for a reason. The thinkness is waht is different. Same size means same height off ground. You surey are not a bright person, or fit in any way. Nice try fat boy!

  • @Flaberblaber think you've gone full retard... it means the same. Ah I expected the classical egotistical high and mighty crossfitter to come in. I know you retard size works in more than one plane think you should probably learn the basics of life before you try to reply to any other comments. You obviously know nothing about weight lifting. Crossfit uses thicker weights that weight less than powerlifting plates and the only reason that could be is so that it looks like more weight.

  • @horsepoofer Congratulations you have horrible grammer and no job i am guesing. Some boxes have oly plates like pendlay, but why the fuck would a box spend that kind of money for all of our bumpers to be name brand expensive plates?! We use them for a lot more than just oly lifts dumbass. They also get a lot more use from all the people who come through in one day. They are called economy for a reason. Thicker are cheaper. You are the dumbest gamer ever. Hope you are good at world of warcraft!

  • @Flaberblaber horsepoofer is absolutely right. Those plates in kilograms would be at least 120kg or 264lbs.

  • thats just ridiculous

  • hahaha this is fucking ridiculous :D

  • The best part is no one helps the man who almost killed himself. Just another normal day at the CrossFail games.

  • This guy would probably have better form if he wasn't wearing fucking gloves for shoes.

  • @misztal2112 Probably. But if he was wearing lifting shoes while running or doing somehitng else, chances are he wouldnt be able to do that either...dumbass

  • @Flaberblaber TROLL!!!

  • Yeah, your all right. CrossFit sucks and it's gay. You guys are all stronger than me and everyone I know that does CrossFit. Your probably better looking and smarter than I am as well. You may even have more money.

Your all more athletic than I am. All of you would beat any of us in any type of comparison because your just better, smarter, stronger, and richer.

Thank you all for helping me understand.

  • @jayheathmail Yeah that sounds about right, you pretty much suck.

  • @jayheathmail it's funny because this is how crossfitter see themselves haha. I can't believve you are actually defending this shit, what part of that video warrants defense?

  • @jayheathmail lol shut up

  • @zip4x4

    FAIL...

    John Broz

    Average Broz Gymnasium

John Broz does CrossFit in Las Vegas. They literally work out together, share programing, and do "CrossFit" workouts in the same facility. John Broz is a huge supporter of CrossFit and he does the workouts regularly. His gym is a "CrossFit" gym.

    You learn something new everyday.

    Your welcome.

How did you manage to work MMA into the conversation? Did I miss something?

  • @zipp4x4 Brozknows thinks Crossfit is good.

  • @kavehisftw I look forward to seeing you compete in the CrossFit open and I'd like to be the first to congratulate you on your decision to put your money where your mouth is rather than just sitting back and talking shit without backing it up at all.

  • @werze

Just come out and compete then!! CrossFit is easy. It's a joke. It's for people who are "average" and "mediocre." None of the guys are strong and none of us have any elite abilities.

Put your money where your mouth is and come out and compete. You will earn $250k and it won't even be hard because there is no competition. Everyone who has been training will probably be injured by the time the competition comes up anyways so you might not even have to complete the workouts. Just avoid i

  • @jayheathmail Crossfit is pretty mediocre, as the guy said, a guy his size should be able to snatch way more. I've been training sprint and oly lifting since I was 13, I'm 19 now. I'm not as big as that guy but I'd rape the shit out of him in any "crossfit" competition. The guy has no explosiveness whatsoever. He's a fag without athletic abilities..

  • @Kavehisftw Doubtful. Talk a lot of shit about something you have never done. Do a WOD like Eva and your scrawny ass woud be smoked by girls. Good way to get humbled! Pussy!

  • @jayheathmail Ok I shouldn't have called him fag that's pretty immature, but nevertheless, these guys are just for show off. They're not really athletes.. I am iranian and weightlifting is pretty big there, the best heavyweight lifter is iranian and I've seen kids half his size snatch more - even women lol. But of course his body is "above average".. But nowhere near elite.

  • @jouzkaz

    @endlersaurusRex

You are both out of your league on this one.

    2 things:

    1. Stop talking smack and just show up to a competition and prove yourself superior. If neither of you are willing to do that then you both are just like little punks on the sideline who won't ever man up and step on the field.

    2. Blair played D1 football. I hope we can all agree that anyone who is skilled enough to compete at that level has proven themselves to be at least above "average."

  • @jouzkaz

So I take it you are a below average athlete...

Since the CrossFit athlete is "average" and you fall far short of their performances?

BTW: What have you "mastered"? Or what are you attempting to "master"?

  • @jayheathmail It's not false to say that if you threw a crossfitter in any single discipline they would appear average, but for people to say they are just average athletes overall is just naive. They're like decathletes or triathletes, just in a different (cough, more injury-prone, based on average technique) discipline.

  • The majority of cross fit people need to fully understand technique and learn about escaping/getting rid of the bar in situations such as the end of this vid...Don't just attempt olympic lifting without someone with real experience its the number 1 cause of injury in lifting is the fact it's bad form..Be safe then progress

  • And the guy in the back at end injures himself....

  • fyi: in several months from now (March of 2012) CrossFit is holding a competition in which the winner will receive $250,000.00

For everyone who seems to think they are stronger/faster/more agile/more coordinated/etc... Maybe you should enter the competition and see where you stand? Why not try?

$250k is a pretty nice purse

Most of you making negative comments are speaking out of ignorance and would get your asses handed to you...

    Thoughts?

  • @jayheathmail

Dude shut your pie hole. Crossfit is a joke.

A 215 pound snatch for a guy his weight is MEDIOCRE!

The womens 105lbs snatch world record is 215 lbs. (Elite)

The mens 123 lbs snatch world record is 302 lbs. (Elite)

If being mediocre at everything is your goal then Crossfit is right for you.

  • Dang it looked like he was going to snap his knee..

Jack of all trades .. Master at None

  • I agree that anyone who does nothing but Olympic lifts may find that the lift is bad, but it's not an Olympic lifting competition, it's a crossfit competition. He's not trying to get three white lights he's trying to get a "go" from the judge. It'd be fine if everyone critiqued him like they were all judges themselves if it were just an olympic lifting competition, but it isn't he's doing a shit ton of other things to incorporate into being "fit", and other than the knee it wasn't so awful.

  • Omfg lol, I thought he broke his damn knee with that shitty lift.

  • This vid would've been a complete waste of time except for the guy who nearly kills himself in the background.

  • @MrFrazzle1990 that guy concussed himself haha

  • keep watching the guy at the top left of the screen! lol

  • It would confuse people less if you said 97kg. Thought i was going to see some Olympic caliber athlete. Or, just say crossfit to warn people

  • This is so fking bad .. !!

  • LOL at the guy in the back

  • lol at people thinking this is heavy. this is a good lift for a 190 male crossfitter however its what 115 pound girls do in weightlifting...

  • @rogue8853 Agreed, they also dont train much for it either in their defense. And alot of them eat paleo which is horrible for strength. Not to mention shitty form

  • @rogue8853 115 lb girls CAN do this much weight...but we are talking world class champion athletes. That looks to be about 205 lbs(damn CrossFit Color coding...weak), more than 90 kg. I don't even know if there is an American female lifter who can do that much in that weightclass.

  • @bigislander72 the point is though, that crossfit is about fitness, and ill give them that. but outside of that, theyre not the best at anything. not weightlifting, powerlifting, swimming, running, jumping, sports, gymnastics, etc

  • @rogue8853 How could it even be possible for a CrossFitter to be as good as a champion athlete who trains exclusively, day in and day out at their particular sport? Are you saying that they would have to be as just as good as elite athletes in multiple disciplines to get some credit? That is an impossible standard to achieve.

  • @bigislander72 no. but if you look at their banner in this video, what makes them think theyre better then other athletes?

  • @bigislander72 I could say the same thing when people compare Olympic lifting athletes to the "strongest and fittest in the world" CrossFit Game athletes.

CrossFit is it's own sport, don't compare it to others.

  • @RandomStevie I don't care what bullshit the media has spread about crossfitters, the most-rounded athletes in the world are decathletes, hence why when they win a world or Olympic title, they are praised as "the best athlete in the world".

  • @RandomStevie then why the fuck is their a giant banner in the background claiming dominance of all other athletes. I'm not making this shit up, it's right there in video footage you have just watched.

  • @MultiTrollHunter cuz they gay-fitters proclaim that on themselves, yet they r just extremely weak im comparison to real athletes but they do crossfit frustrated to hide that they realize that they r douches

  • @uggy12345 somewhat agree. blair morrison is an incredible athlete with a lot of strength and power. this was indeed not a good lift, but you still got to five him props. thats a heavy ass weight. and i would like to see you sntach 215 better than him.

  • very ironic description...

  • These cross fitters remind me of more sporty bodybuilders - full of pseudo science and attention whoring.

  • Why not just do circuit training and cardio instead of crossfit? You don't need olympic weightlifting to get strong or build muscle but doing it with poor form can hurt you.

  • crossfail at its finest

  • I'm actually quite pissed at that banner in the background...

  • i heard a 215 snatch in crossfit is considered huge lol

  • part1 I'll be honest i do Xfit to supplement my mountain biking/track/road cycling for conditioning but some of the exercises they get you to do sometimes make my mind wobble, it is just very injury prone if you do not know what you are doing, and most after the short intro sessions do not.

Saying that I've also lifted for 8 years prior to trying xfit out, and even i refuse to do snatch because it is technically demanding, personally i find it a lot harder then clean and jerk technique wise
