Can you start recording or take a picture straight from the UI in Belle?

I used my Nokia N86 to capture a video in the car today and when I placed it in the car holder I realized that I could not start recording cause the holder was covering the hardware camera button and you can't start the video recording or take a picture from a button in the UI, so I had to take the phone out, push the camera button and then place it back in.

Can you in the N8 Belle?

The notification bar and the home screen transitions along with the finger are concepts that were originally in the maemo. And maemo is an OS that is by Nokia. Android copied it from Maemo. Nokia has just imported some of the ingredients from it's one OS to the other. I know a lot of iOS and Android fan boys' egos are hurt :D

i have been testing this firmware for several days now..

THIS is how the phone should have been when it was sold the first day at the stores !

Since it's not final it has some bugs, but several fixes such as java fix (java didn't work without it) are allready created

also remember if you want to test this and you brick your phone while trying (it's not a click and go program :D) you will offcourse have no warranty !

Inform yourself well on internet first or wait for the official update !

i Thinking that Symbian Belle is gonna kick some ..... of IOS and Android. now we gonna keep the best hardware that we always had , plus a killer software and wonderful power efficiency processor , as far as i can see not much lag with the new software . i have a Nokia e71 , and it is amazing on what it can do. even today , 3 years later I'm still getting complements on it!! . Can you imagine when Symbian Belle start rolling worldwide ! Apple and Android Fan boys eat your heart out !!!!

I'm just saying that the interface is close to be unique.

Having a notification bar is becoming a basic must now (iOS and Symbian now have it) so are live widgets!

It's just that Android introduced revolutionary things, which others can use.

(look at Nintendo DS, now PSP Vita too has touch screen), (samsung created AMOLED screens, and Nokia is making their own now) so in the end no one is copying on anybody!! :D
