  • This is done to control animal temper. Bulls used to plow in farms are also gelded because you only need them to be strong and docile for that task. At least in my town they would use very mature bulls. They have had 'enough fun' already. Time to work for their beans.

Just try to force an aggressive bull into the plowing harness and you'll see...

  • awww shit nasty! how did I get from ferrari crashes to this!!!

  • why are people saying this is cruelty? so all the dogs and cats that are fixed is is cruel as well right, i mean come on, if you have never delt with a stud horse dont say anything, i have a mini stud, hes only 250lbs, and he is very hard to habdle, he has to be in an electric chain link fence if our mare is in heat, imagine a 1200lbs stud, no thanks, gelding them is way worth it.

  • WTF?!?! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • animal cruelty

  • what about if justin bieber being gelded?

  • @TheRavensArk Does he has something that could be gelded?

  • @TheRavensArk He is. That's why he looks like some androginous bisexual lesboy, sexually undefined. They didn't let his testosterone finish making him look like a guy on time. He was probably castrated at 13, you know, like the Farinelli movie, to keep his 'angelical' bitchy voice intact.

  • I want 2 be a vet when I grow up. So I didn't mind what he was doing.

  • i was wondering what was going on he was being gelded so this horses testes didnt fall down all the way awww poor baby

  • that hurted me too!

  • Cyberjunky YOU are an IDIOT and obviously and IDIOT who has never dealt with a stallion. 'let them be as nature intended' OMG that is a good one. Go spend some time with a stud horse before you form an opinion. 'Different genders in a field' really? You realize stallions will fight to the death? You can not put 2 together, and it takes more than a regular fence to hold a stallion in.

  • that must be on the track or done by someone which use to work on the track. You gotta be a bit crazy to work on the track... I've participated in a few standing castrations and the hardest part is holding the emasculator there long enuf to control bleeding. It always freaks me out as they can easiliy kick and kill ya in an instant and there is no way you can get out of the way...

  • i hope someone does the same thing to that guy

  • Let the animal be as nature intended, stop robbing them of their nature. If you don't want it breading put the different genders in different fields.

  • @cyberjunky are you kidding? have you ever delt with a stud, different fields, ya easier said than done, so i guess we shouldnt fix our dogs or cats either. a stud will stop at NOTHING to get to a mare, they will run themselves to death if need be, and not to mention geldings make the best riding horses, the old saying, you tell a gelding you ask a mare and you talk things over with a stallion, well its true, god, read a book or go to a stud farm

  • FUCK

  • so they dont put them out!? at all!?

  • @Bentley153 They usually do....

  • no sense carrying around that loaded gun if you're not going to use it.

  • Poor horse...

  • its litile bit descusting :)

& ithink it beter to keep them so it has som bourful when we ride it :)

  • @azooz92 bad english he he he :)

  • Thank you for posting this video. I think it's very educational and I have seen cats and dogs neutered, but never actually seen a horse castrated. I took care of a horse once after he was castrated, but other than that -

And I believe that many animals (and cities) benefit from castration/neutering/spaying, because it decreases the amount of unwanted pets.

  • i think any one who has to fix an animal no matter what it is has issues and needs to be shot i really think its wrong to rob them of their rightful parts

  • I've had 3 colts cut & everytime my vet gives them enough anesthesia to drop 'em & cuts them while they're down. He'll pull wolf teeth at the same time.I question weather or not this horse feels any pain.I wonder if he has a twitch on him.I think that it's safer for the animal and the vet to drop 'em down to cut 'em.They're not down for more than 5 or so minutes and then back up on their feet.course they're a bit wobbly for a while. After that daily exercise to promote drainage & reduce swelling.

  • That horse is being neutered. I've always dreamed of being an equine vet

  • qe puutooo assscoooo

    qe miierrdaaa!!

  • thanks for posting this! i was curious as to how they did it because i only know from reading Flicka where back then they did it with the horse held down completely conscious.

  • you put them to sleep when u do it duh

  • it has to be a serious reason to put a horse to sleep as they dont lie down on their own normally, they could develop serious issues if they do. The horse is obviously under a local anesthetic i dont think it would let some one cut its nuts off if it wasn't.

  • actually more mature horses have chances of their guts falling out if their gelded standing up.its not nice to watch. horses can lie down and sometimes lying them down for vet work has to be done

  • You realize its now considered animal cruelty to geld horses without anestesia ? Thats seriously fucked up. I cant believe you'd but this on the internet. Fucked up.

  • you should read the captions at the side of the videos, besides vets dont put horses under general anesthetic because they are more likely to die from complications from it thats why they use local anesthetic, plus horses dont lie down normally unless something is wrong so them standing is healthier anyway.

  • wow do you actually own a horse? mine lie down all the time in their stalls.if they start thrashing and acting like their colicing then i get them up

  • You think he's not drugged?

Ya, my horse stands there when you stab it. 100% stands there, ignoring you. So stupid.

  • This is a totally new one to me and I've seen alot!

But never a horse gelded standing up, good way

to get yourself hurt very bad.

  • ouch poor geldings huh?

  • did he die?

  • NO he was gelded.

  • chop !!

  • now ya got 'em, NOW ya don't.

  • OUCH

  • the horse gets gelded because so it doesnt be bad and jump on other female horses my grandma told me that she had horses for like more than 50 years but if you dont bealieve me correct me if im wrong

  • no u are correct. horses are gelded because they have different behaviors when they are stallions and geldings.

  • shit that had to hert

  • was that horse being gelded?

  • was the horse being castrated?

if it was then he should have been all over the place :P
