I'm confused! I thought all UFO's came with rock music or weird X-Files music. I simply can't appreciate video of UFO's that is silent or has mainstream-type music. Endless questions like "Where did it go" and "What is it" would also have been helpful in this video.

It is a rocket. The 'tail' spreading out as it travels is just the exhaust gas expanding into space. The bright object that appears at 1:34 and lasts until 2:21 is just something from it that is re-entering the earth's atmosphere (1st stage possibly??).
in my opinion this is real flying object .It is not plane or rocket.By the time on the screen 03 08 hrs it is deep night in some factory or similar and night shift on duty. I believe that ufo are part of a conspiracy. I say this because they show up, long enough for us to see them but not often. @ldrago1231 I think this possibility is pretty much ruled out by the fact that no passage of any visible comet was reported at that time. Also the apparent motion is much too fast. A comet passing along the night sky is measured in weeks rather than minutes, unless it comes extremely close to earth. Would that have been the case here, the astronomic community surely would have noticed and reported the event. The rocket theory, on the other hand, is fully supported by official documentation.

I must correct myself. I failed to notice the info stating that the footage was taken in Sarapul, which is way up north west from Baykanur. That's still OK, because I also wrongly presumed a prograde trajectory, while the Meridian was actually launched into a molniya orbit, which indeed takes it along a northward trajectory. But then the clock shows a time two hours after the launch. A foulty clock may account for the fact that so many people being awake and dressed this deep at night, though.
I viewed advised video of Minotaur Rocket Launch 09/22/2005. I can see similarities. However, I guess I am use to rocket and shuttle launches reaching the upper atmosphere with a straighter trajectory since I live very close to Kennedy Space center. Why the difference? The calculated trajectory needed to reach the point in space that it is meant to orbit?

I'd position the cam somewhere in Kyrgyztan. A view like this on a launch from Kennedy could be enjoyed from Caicos Island. I'd bet they see UFO's like this quite often in Provdenciales

Seriously.. anyone who has spent any time around the military can tell this straight away. I believe very much in UFO/Aliens... but please you need to be rational in what you declare as unidentified..If I can ID it, you should be able too aswell

@ldrago1231 I think this possibility is pretty much ruled out by the fact that no passage of any visible comet was reported at that time. Also the apparent motion is much too fast. A comet passing along the night sky is measured in weeks rather than minutes, unless it comes extremely close to earth. Would that have been the case here, the astronomic community surely would have noticed and reported the event. The rocket theory, on the other hand, is fully supported by official documentation.

@intrptr The spent booster crossing the terminator and reflecting sunlight was my first thought too, but considering the time of night (far from sunset and sunrise), and the fact that it starts to shine while going down instead of up, makes me in favour of the theory that the light is caused by the heat generated as the booster hits the lower atmoshere. This accounts nicely for what you see in the footage.

I must correct myself. I failed to notice the info stating that the footage was taken in Sarapul, which is way up north west from Baykanur. That's still OK, because I also wrongly presumed a prograde trajectory, while the Meridian was actually launched into a molniya orbit, which indeed takes it along a northward trajectory. But then the clock shows a time two hours after the launch. A foulty clock may account for the fact that so many people being awake and dressed this deep at night, though.

I viewed advised video of Minotaur Rocket Launch 09/22/2005. I can see similarities. However, I guess I am use to rocket and shuttle launches reaching the upper atmosphere with a straighter trajectory since I live very close to Kennedy Space center. Why the difference? The calculated trajectory needed to reach the point in space that it is meant to orbit?

From your position close to the launch site you'd see the vertical part of the journey, while this footage must have been taken several hundreds of miles further away to the east, as well as to the south. I'd position the cam somewhere in Kyrgyztan. A view like this on a launch from Kennedy could be enjoyed from Caicos Island. I'd bet they see UFO's like this quite often in Provdenciales

Actually, that could be a satellite, or a comet. Comets have two tales. An ion tail and a dust tail. When comets travel, they leave behind these tails in a v-shaped gust. Comets are invisible until the sun's light reflect off of them. Comets are made of ice, so they melt, thus losing pieces when near the gravitational pull of the Earth. Have a nice day.
