I don't recall actuallhy snapping my fingers, but the gesture was designed to get something to "pop" into her mind. The gesture--and the language--probably did come as much from my days doing stage hypnosis as from NLP/hypnosis training. I don't really plan the process but simply "go with the flow" at the time.
Hey Joel, When you did it live I didn't notice the finger snap you did when you said "first thing that pops into you mind." Was this something that you learned from your stage hypnosis days? I think you are putting pressure on her to respond quickly in order to ensure you get an unconscious response. Is there more to it than that?
