hey, i think i have social anxiety but im not diagnosed cause my mom its like reallly ignorant with this kind of stuff and she refuses to take me to a professional.
i cant stand being in my school caffeteria, or go shopping cause id have to pay and talk with that girl . i start to cry when i have to talk in class. and i also get like crisis or attacks that they have to take me to the school nursery . its really hard i hate it. how can i talk to my mom about it. she doesnt believe me
@Samantasolanger Hey :) If you can make your own appointment or ask another family member to go with you. I haven't been diagnosed either but i'm planning on going to see my doctor on monday. I get really anxious in just about any situation where i should be able to be normal and relaxed. Hope things get better for both of us :)
The thing you said about being quiet and always keeping your thoughts and opinions to yourself is what I can really relate to. People have even told me I'm not an opinionated person when that's not it at all. :/
I'm so so glad you shared... I would have never had the guts too. I can relate to probably 99% of what yous said. It'd be great if we could talk about it or something, cause I've never met anyone with an anxiety like me!
Hi..... I am 19 years old. And I do not and NEVER EVER have had a job. And now, obviously, I need one. But I have WORSE social anxiety than you. I can't even pay for any of my own stuff in a story (even a candybar, etc.). So.....What job do you suggest for me? PLEASE PLEASE REPLY. :"(.
I can relate to the restaurant part. I feel like everybody is staring at me or talking about me and having that feeling that you just want to runaway and leave as quickly as possible. It happens at school as well and when teachers call my name to read out loud to the class I freeze up. It's really difficult.
What gives me anxiety is you. You forbid me from subscribing to you on another YT channel. It was to a comment such as what did you you do with all the color in this video? Give it for the homosexual rainbow flags? Also do you think shyness and social anxiety is related to homosexuality? Cause this also
Wow, I just watched all your videos and it is scary how similar you are to me. Watching your videos and seeing how much you've grown as a person and how much progress you've made really gives me hope to keep trying. You are as beautiful on the inside as you are on the outside. I sincerely thank you for posting these videos and showing us that we aren't alone and there are others like us out there. I can see that you are just a genuinely caring person. Can't wait to watch your new videos! :)
When I go to eat at a restaurant there inevitable appears a large pile of napkins in my side of the table from constantly wiping my mouth, worrying that I'll have something on my face. Going to a crowded movie theater is difficult too and when I see a lot of people inline for a movie I just won't go. I also stress out when someone looks over my shoulder when I'm working at a keyboard, especially at work - back when i had such a job. Lots of things stress me out.
hey amanda i dont know if your into this but theres a chat for people with social anxiety sufferers on socialanxietysupportchat(dot)com anyone is welcome and everyone there is friendly
We love u too, Amanda. :-) I just came back from Walmart around 7 p.m. today, & that is one store that increases my anxiety immensely. The crowds, the people who are loud & congregate in the middle of the aisles, & they DO stare! I'm also nervous in restaurant settings. I feel like everyone is watchn how much I eat, & if I don't eat enuf, I will be criticized. Stupid, I know, but I've actually gone thru situations like that at my past job. Being slim makes others think I starve myself.
Adding to the restaurant anxiety, I cannot eat in public. I just can't. If there's anyone in the restaurant then I try to sit away from them, or just take out. At college I buy the food and eat it alone in the library. Don't know why I have such a fear of eating in public but it's just getting worse.
I love your videos. As you talk about things I keep saying, thats me thats me. LOL Its good to hear im not alone. i do You Tube videos too & like you said it's direrent being alone in your house. Thank You Amanda
Hi Amanda, You haven't posted as video in several months. I hope you are going to school and too busy to make videos. Wishing you all the best.
