  • Does he know what he is saying??

  • what shit thought it was a good idea to have this music playing in the background, makes both of them inaudible!

  • starkey you fucking dumb stupid crazy dickhead get a gun and go blow your brains out

  • Chav culture has nothing to do with race and everything to do with the educational and social opportunities that are limited by class in this shit hole of a country.

  • Cont:5 David Starkey is right in regards to white wanting look and sound black. But this is not a New thing. David Starkey as a Historian should know this. Give you an example = Ali G. He became a cult figure overnight when he protrayed a certain certian of Uk blacks. However, is it black people fault? No it isn't. Is it black peoples fault that people like "Tim Westwood" who want to "Sound" black in regards to explanding their careers and wanting to sound cool are the ones at fault?

  • Cont4: Black music & its culture is so strong that countries like France & China fear its power as they have either made laws to try trying to stop or make laws whereby there must an equivalent translation of the native tongues language next to the original recorded output.

But how can you stop a music like Jazz? People have broken laws & given their whole lives in order to play the music.I believe that Hitler in Nazi Germany had to pass death laws to stop people playing it or listening to it

  • Comment removed

  • Cont 2: HipHop music is not all Gangster rap...like not all Rock music sounds like "Thrash Metal".. You have different styles of HipHop Music. Please listen to the music of A tribe called Quest, Da la Soul, etc... What I do agree with David Starkey on is that England white youth have mistakenly taken a certain image of Black American as the whole picture. What they don't understand is that there now a large proportion of Rich blacks within the Usa. Alot of young Usa blacks have masters degrees

  • @redjam40 And on the same poorly thought out logic that says whites are becoming black, it could equally be said that plenty of blacks have become white. This is a terribly simplistic way of putting it and a man as intelligent as David Starkey really should know better than making his points in this simplistic way when it is such a complex issue.

  • David Starkey is nearly almost right. However, he is wrong.Ask David Starkey if he likes Jazz music? Ask David Starkey if he liked Blues,Rock,Gospel &Soul music? Does he like Rock N Roll for instance? Black culture & its music is so powerful. It is literally the most listen to and most copied culture on the face of the planet. No nation on Earth can rest it pull. Hip/Hop Music if you really look at it is a fusion of all black music styles. To explain this, the use of sampling within this music.

  • The music was not necessary

  • They just don't understand him

  • PS whatt the fuck is the point of the austin powers music you tool?

  • @eezysqueezy I'm guessing you're about 13? Adults usually state their preferences without lowering to silly name calling. You'll grow up one day.

  • @davidkeithbecket Did you think the austin powers music worked, fuckstick?

  • @eezysqueezy Oh I see what you did there, combining sex with a stick. Good one.

  • @davidkeithbecket Thank you for your continuing support and taciturn admission that this austin powers music is indeed redundant.

  • @eezysqueezy Wow, 2 grown up words, very good. See that's much better. Now we're talking like adults :) I can see that you didn't personally like the musical addition, but such a view is very subjective you must understand, you cannot say absolutely that 'it didn't work'. You can say however that most people didn't like it or didn't find it added to the video, that would be a fair point.

  • @davidkeithbecket You're like a low rent Yoda, anyone ever tell you that? Now tell true, did YOU think the austin powers music sucked ass?

  • @eezysqueezy A novel metaphor, slightly better than your previous work. Quick tip btw, if someone doesn't debate with your original point, but rather points out a problem/something humorous about your method of delivery, it doesn't prove or disprove that original point. Good that you know the expression 'taciturn admission' though. I'm proud of you.

  • @davidkeithbecket Gee dad, THANKS!!!

But honestly, the austion powers music, it was awful and pointless, wasn't it? You can tell the truth. I won't think any less of you for admitting what you knew to be true 4 posts ago.

"You gonna feel a slight sting. That's pride fucking with you. Fuck pride! Pride only hurts. It never helps" - Marcellus Wallace

  • He's right.

  • what a legend!

  • As an historian, I have to say he is an embarrassment to our profession.

  • @WarriorOfSunlight agreed, he truly makes a terrible example of historians

  • Argh! The music! Why?

  • Anyone who agrees with Starkey are sad, deluded, evil, ignorant, living in the past, the list goes on. I get tired of all this anti-racist is code for anti-white shit. Grow up please, it's so boring to read. However, it does make me feel grateful that at 16 I am more broad minded and mature than you incessantly hateful Hitler loving morons. I don't care what colour anyone is, the rioters were rioters. David Starkey needs to scoot off back to the middle ages, and take some of you lot with him.

  • @reeceyj95 It's a strawman that people tend to construct. I'm anti-racist. I don't agree with discrimination agaisnt blacks, asians OR whites. I also refuse to let any religion have it's way; if Islam decides to dig itself into our rights or legal system then I'm going to fight back. I don't know any other "lefties" who disagree with me on these matters; no doubt some will exist but they are just as delusional as the anti-racism= anti-white crowd.

  • There's a storm brewing, no doubt. The whites it seems, are made to feel guilty for past colonial exploitation and are now paying for it. I for one will not eat this multiculture rhetoric that we are force fed.

  • @thewotsit I don't know which planet you live on but I've never met a black person ( I have a black uncle, cousin and several black friends and acquaintances) who's tried to make me feel guilty for colonialism and/or slavery. There will be a few nutters who will do; just tell them to fuck off. Stop acting like it's a nation-wide problem.

  • @195ashes Only speaking from a singular viewpoint, afterall this is a forum for debate is it not?

  • Seriously? Majority of white gangs, not just White supremacist gangs, make Black gangs look like Children playing with knives in their back garden.

  • Only white countries and every white country is target for massive never-ending immigration of people not of our race until white children become an ever vanishing minority in their own countries. White children are only two percent of the worlds population and anti-whites like you demand they be eliminated totally.

Because anti-racist is just a code word for anti-white,it`s genocide

  • Of course rap glorifies the bad behavior of non-Whites. That's the whole point of it. Classical music glorifies the exalted nature of Whites. If diversity is strength, why does it need speech codes to defend it? Why don't we tell the truth, as Starkey does? Africa for Africans, Asia for Asians, White countries for everyone?? What's happening is anti-White genocide.

  • @laetior Correction: SOME Rap glorifies gangster trends and negative aesthetics. The same Rap that is promoted by record labels OWNED by Whites. The Hip Hop culture (from which the mainstream Rap culture/music was distilled from - the "Gangster element" if you like) The Hip Hop music & culture which is multi0racial by the way and always was) was developed to PREVENT people getting involved in gangs in the first place. The idea of the "battle" btw MCs, DJs and Breakers so they wouldn't HAVE to

  • People say there is this RACE problem and this RACE problem will be solved when the third world pours into EVERY white country and ONLY into white countries. They say the final solution to this RACE problem is for EVERY white country and ONLY white countries to “assimilate,” i.e., intermarry, with all those non-whites. It’s really just the final solution to the white problem. It’s genocide. They say they are anti-racist. What they are is anti-white. Anti-racist is a code word for anti-white.

  • @mr1alphaalpha You're right.

There need only be an intent to destroy our race, in whole or in part, to qualify as genocide.

ONLY White countries are being targeted for a blended humanity through a policy of mass non-White immigration and assimilation.

    Anti-racist is a code word for anti-White.

  • @mr1alphaalpha OH FOR FUCK SAKE GO BACK TO /pol/

  • He's sort of right.

  • Starkey says, 'It's not skin colour, it's culture.' He's right.

It is not a racist remark. In saying that Starkey's words are racist, one is effectively saying that black people are all part of the gang culture.

  • @Gustaveleloup He said "Whites are becoming Black" so white people were rioting because they were acting "Black", that's pretty racist. His further comments clarified that he wasn't talking about ALL black people but that association with skin colour is totally wrong. It's not skin colour that makes people act like thugs, it's essentially how you are treated by others and their expectations and expectations of your peers that makes you a thug.

  • @CowLunch The comment alone sounds racist. One must listen to his whole argument. If only these idiots would let him speak...

  • @Gustaveleloup But the point is that while he isn't saying all black people act like thugs he IS saying it is their culture to act like thugs. But there is no "black" culture, the fact gangster rap and thuggery get labelled as "black culture" is racism in itself. Gangster rap was created by blacks, but their promoting of violence and crime were not a result of being black. Equally Hitler did not kill Jews because of his moustache.

  • @CowLunch If you watch the whole interview, Starkey explains that gangster culture does not equate to black culture. I'll be fair: Starkey states 'the whites have become black' to provoke a reaction. That's what he does. But his point stands.

As for toothbrush moustaches, you will notice that they declined after the Second World War and the end of the Holocaust...

  • @Gustaveleloup Maybe I need to rephrase that. He is not saying all blacks are thugs, but all thuggery is black - The "whites becoming black" comment implies this view.

So toothbrush moustaches are evil? The fact they have become taboo shows how stupid people are and why racism got started in the first place.

  • @CowLunch I'm not arguing against the fact that a large number of white kids have become engrossed in gang culture and started talking like black gangsters. But the fact that language even exists is because of an under-educated black population. Starkey talks as if this is some black plague that has infected whites, when in reality it is that white children are facing the same lack of education as blacks. Whether its their parents or schools failing them I don't know.

  • @CowLunch The point being made is that the poor and uneducated, regardless of skin clour, have adopted a gangster 'culture' that is black. I couldn't say how different white gangsterism might be, but the fact is that the attitude so frequently adopted by these rioter types has its origins in black gang communities. That is not to blame black immigration; we must recognise that blacks are not gangsters and that the riot is not the fault of black people.

  • @Gustaveleloup i.e. the behaviour is not innate in black people; rather it's just a particularly nasty culture that has arisen.

  • @CowLunch The nature of racism is unreasonable, sweeping generalisations.

While Starkey makes a valid point, he states it a dangerously broad fashion by which he means to incite uproar. He shouldn't call it 'black culture', but perhaps 'black gangster culture. Still, I wish the other guests on the show would let him speak.

  • @Gustaveleloup Yes he does tend to overdramatise things.

  • @Gustaveleloup finally, somebody I agree with on this issue!

  • I was being sarcastic about toothbush moustaches.

  • It was that damn language's fault. You might as well be saying Arabic is intrinsically evil and brings about regimes like Bashir Al Assad's.

  • Funny thing is, hes right.

  • @iSorrowproductions 1. Try to imagine how much brainwashing it would take to convince all the Asians living in Asia, that they need to go ahead and replace themselves (in Asia) with North African Muslims????

    2. Now imagine that they were so totally mind conditioned and brainwashed. That they really believed it would be RACIST not to????

If you manage to do that: Welcome to the world of the white Anti-whites!

So my question is: Can anyone think of something dumber than a white Anti-white????

  • Shows that in the old-school conservative members there is still a hard edge of racism.

  • David Starkey's just an over educated fat slob quoting bloody text talk....I have full respect for my human brothers and sisters no matter what colour they are, we are all equal and free on this land it's about time the government treated everyone that way maybe just maybe we would get on, on this lovely planet we call earth.

  • David Starkey... my word. Knew he was a twat but this is quite an effort he's put in to make me think he's a bigger wanker than Nick Griffin. Didnt know it was possible.

  • Thinks he's Enoch fucking Powell

  • @Josh1000digby you rascist pig.

  • My part of Yorkshire is losing it's dialect and identity thanks to many factors, natives selling out their culture for this spasticated urban gang shit being one.

  • this isn't racist its observant im a doorman and i had a scrawny little white boy at my door a few weeks ago trying to get in the club, this wouldn't have been a problem if he wasn't dressed like something out of "menace 2 society" and when i turned him away he said " wa'eva blud im guna come back when you finnish and shank you" after which i proceeded to detain him for making a threat against my life and disturbance of the peace, but just goes to show how ridiculous this country is getting

  • @Jimiriffman89 What's that got to do with race? The guy would've been a dick no matter how he spoke.

David Starkey is a fucking racist cunt.

  • @Tedaus5 i agree he is a racist and a complete tool but i happen to agree with the fact that the american "gansta" image is glorified and rediculous in my experience its the white kids that are worse, the whole chavy wanabe tough guy image is a problem and needs to squashed.

and the example i gave is just one of many incidents of the same kind so yes he was a dick but he's not the only one i deal with countless amounts of ignorent idiots who think theyre black everyday

  • @Jimiriffman89 How relevant are you? Menace to Society was over 20 years ago. Kids don't even dress or act like that anymore.

  • When he says black, does he mean nigger?

  • Comment removed

  • @si223 Boo, I'd rather you do not respond to me with such atrocities. Your disrespectful comment is very distasteful. Now, if you had any common sense, my statement simply meant that despite all the different races/ethnic groups that are present in the world; we are very much alike. There are too many issues; poverty, diseases, natural disasters... in this world for people to be concerned about David Starkey's biased and obviously prejucided views. so, you need to SHUT THE FUCK UP!

    Racial Unity

  • I think he's completely correct in his view, but could have perhaps been a little less subjective about it....

  • @chapmasi Rightly so, objectivity is key to any discussion.

  • To be fair..

  • THERE IS ONLY ONE RACE! THE HUMAN RACE!

  • @Rheiana1 The 3-legged race?

  • @si223 ??? Voy a fingir que no respondió con la basura total.

  • No wonder this guy is a homosexual

    HE'S A PAIN THE ARSE

  • why the music? distracts and annoys

  • Where are all the delicate little souls calling for Starkey to be sacked from his position for making a lazy racial generalization???

  • What he should have said, and I think, was clumsely trying to, is that British kids ( of any colour) think American gang culture is cool. And that is a disaster.

  • His argument is a poor one. And, it was racist.

  • he's right,whites voice fades.Black,White,Oil,Water.

  • The black kids looking up to american gangta rap is a real problem..Really sad thing to look up to

  • @malt8291 fuck you and listen to tupac

  • @jackblap i like good music not rappers,its a low art form

  • he is not a racist, true racism to me means wishing ill on a whole race or culture, his only wrong doing was seeing what hes seen on the street now and again as actual fact

  • I was actually watching this on tv as he was saying it and i do believe he is not a racist but he was misguided. there is a certain element of truth in what he was saying in that alot of white kids have adopted black youth gang speak but white kids have always formed there own gangs and slang and theres always been little scumbags in all cultures who given an oppotunity will put two fingers up to authority and society. he shouldnt have said what he said but that doesnt make him a racist.

  • He's right though. But thankfully it's only in England, not the rest of the UK

  • I just cant stop laughing, this man is funny. PDB.

  • Interestingly, there were no riots in Scotland, and Glasgow has a huge gang culture, so I think the idea of gang culture being a cause is a fallacy. Reports suggest it was down to poverty and a lack of any connection between the poor communities and the government.

The reason Scotland in particular was unaffected is because the SNP is generating real optimism and gives a positive message. They have spirit, rather than saying "we need this" or "we must do that"

  • Gang culture? Who was it that sent a massive gang of armed men into Iraq and Afghanistan?

You wanna talk about gang culture look directly to the politicians, they know ALL about it.

Nice one with the music. It made him look even more stupid.

  • To the person who uploaded this, what does it take to make you understand that it wasn't UK riots, it was English riots. Are you totally and completely thick or do you just like to offend the other UK nations?

  • @beinndorainjames No riots in Scotland?

  • @NovaLibertasUK No there weren't. None in Wales or Northern Ireland either.

  • Black people are over-represented in Prisons, why? And it is true that many of the white youth offenders are acting like black badmen. Gang Culture stems from the innate human need to feel part of a group. Therefore solution starts at home. E.g. Sikh and Hindu families are very close - none of them participated in the riots, coincidence?

  • What is the stupid music supposed to add to this video?

  • He's a funny old, chubby white nigger. Keep up the jokes, ya bloke.

  • David, is right. He is not being racist, just observant. He is purely stating observants, with valved points. I don't believe that chavs have infested American cities like they have infested a large about of major inner cities in England. Chav, standing for council houses and violence, are essentially the scrum of the earth, they hung in gangs, with hoods up, carrying weapons and huge dogs, to try and intimidate people and commit crime. They have no respect for the education system, political s

  • Hes completely right, you dumb fucking liberal idiots too scared to be labelled racist are only keeping the dumb niggers down. So yeah go ahead and say hes talking shit...the problems will just never get solved, No skin of my nose lol.

  • somecunt shoot this old english bastard

  • Annoying music!

  • He does not have the right, not to say this. So fuck the PC bandwagon. Enoch and Starkey were both right. The naive tards got from this "All Jamaicans are criminals". No, whats he's saying is, gang culture is a black thing. And white people have no identity in this hell hole country, so they are acting like black gangsters. Screw what out of touch politicians like Ed milipede and our biast media says.

  • @BENJIMANBREEG33 Were the Krays black? They had the police in their pocket.

Have you ever seen gangs of New York? Gang culture has ALWAYS been in major cities. London and New York have always had gang problems for hundreds of years.

  • @ojideagu Lol, did Starkey mention the Krays and are we talking about New York that is full of wigger, or do you mean the Mafia? What I meant to say is that the current gangs we have, is a black thing. Chavs and wiggers who tink dey r from da street. Its not even organised crime, they are just lowlife scum, they'll commit crime for no aparrent gain. And the way they talk, is fake, and definitely not an English accent.

  • @BENJIMANBREEG33 That accent, while it's annoying, IS now an official English accent. That's how language and accents evolve. Organised crime is every bit as bad as street thuggary. Whether it's the Mafia or the Krays. Unless you think extortion of local business people and shop owners with threats of violence is not equivalent to street mugging?

Victorian London was a crime ridden cess pool long before mass immigration.

London has always had a crime problem and gangs of thugs.

  • @ojideagu Its a fake accent. You see people talking with it, but when they're in a room of normal people, it starts to go. I've had a friend who adopted it, then it just went when he sorted his life out. The Krays or the Mafia weren't as low as the vermin we see today, they even had some good points. They wouldn't mug the elderly or disabled. So whats your point, cause there was crime in the past, mass immigration and this behaviour is justified?

  • @BENJIMANBREEG33

bang on..immature,uneducated,products of dysfunctional parenting;these kids gravitate to gangs and copy what they perceive as tough/cool,which they get from various media-TV,internet,etc.

  • @velkom And to make it worse, its just accepted. Then you get some clown like Owen Jones, who say its the result of the working class being let down. No, they are not working class people.

  • He has a little bit of knowledge and he thinks he knows the world

  • lol dis guy's a dikhead

  • what's up with the music you syupid fucking pansy knob

  • He has a point ! too much intergration is causing a problem, simples.....

  • @mark24875218 I'm sure you'd rather be in a homogenous village shagging sheep

  • now i'm wondering what the fuck happened to my original comment. i can't find it.

  • for those who missed the comment hammersmith80 left for me but quickly deleted because he's a fucking coward, here it is again:

"@Rabsputin No he's spot-on, go and iron your track suit bottoms and polish your white trainers you irksome piece of shit."

this is rich coming from a bottom feeder like you. starkey is a complete cunt, and given that you agree with him, this would make you a complete cunt. you and him are everything that's wrong with this place.

    eat shit and die.

  • @Rabsputin You haven't got the intelligence to take part in a meaningful debate and I'm no coward, I'm a realist and it's liberal pricks like you that are the ruination of the UK, gutter filth, all you can do is call me a cunt over and over, you are exactly the sort of cretin that people like me laugh at, as for the comment I removed I felt I let myself down with the language I used but the sentiment remains you're a lifeless thick dolt and anything I say on these pages I would say to your face.

  • Comment removed

  • This shouldn't be about whether or not white people are adopting black culture. A mix of cultures is inevitable in a MULTICULTURAL society.

What I find offensive is that it's looked on as a negative thing. Starkey is quite clearly using this idea of black culture 'intruding' on all his perfect white children as an excuse for any white person involved.

The discussion of these riots needs to be moved away from racism, because it quite obviously involved both blacks and whites, young and old.

  • Comment removed

  • @Hammersmith80 Thank you for demonstrating exactly my point. Yes, it's happened, but tell me why it's a bad thing. You can go on about it being 'poisonous', 'rebellious' whatever, but please enlighten me on how this could have possibly started the riots, which is what this is all about anyway.

And what is this about a 'warped sense of entitlement'? It's people like you need to stop hiding behind your disgusting generalizations and start justifying your opinion.

  • @Zeflingg23 I never said it started the riots and really I answer to noone least of all an internet dullard such as yourself. The bastardisation of the English language is one aspect of the moral decline in the UK. Starkey illustrates his point perfectly well. Poisonous and rebellious, yes absolutely - "innit" that word alone tells me the sort of uneducated fools that walk our streets.

  • @MrFlibble2011 Lol, firstly. I am white. Secondly, you clearly haven't read the other comments on here that I've made to some of the others criticising Starkey. Thirdly, "he just hates shitskins" - that'd be like you then? Doesn't that just say it all. Fourthly, do you genuinely believe that suddenly pulling out of a region after 150 years of imperialism will not have serious consequences (remember what happened in Britain after the Romans)?

  • so we're all turning' .... Jamaican?

  • Comment removed

  • @MrFlibble2011 Sure, I'll even let you pick the factors you want me to use to define success...you know, providing they're not contradictory to the goal of identify "successful black countries" (e.g. you can't define success as being inversely proportional to the ratio of black people to overall population).

  • Comment removed

  • @MrFlibble2011 Fifth, the West deliberately and repeatedly stirred up ethnic, tribal, religious and political tensions for our own advantage when it suited us. Afghanistan is just the most recent and best known example of this, but to name others: Sri Lanka, The Congo, Rwanda, India, Nigeria and Rhodesia. Now, we have tribal, ethnic and political tension across vast swathes of the African continent. You want to have a serious conversation? Then be prepared to try and understand the world.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrFlibble2011 Like I said, I was waiting for you to tell me how you want me to interpret the word "success". Are we talking in terms of GDP, GDP per capita, life expectancy, child infancy, employment figures...?

  • Comment removed

  • @MrFlibble2011 Well, doesn't that just sound like an ill-thought-out, throw-about phrase. And, you moron, I am white.

  • @MrFlibble2011 I'm prepared to bet I'm significantly better educated, and qualified, than yourself.

  • @MrFlibble2011 Oooh, someone's clearly got their PhD in English grammar. Come on then, where's the error? No, seriously. I'm keen to learn.

  • @MrFlibble2011 He counts three, but identifies none.

  • @MrFlibble2011 Ironic, also, that a man (I assume, given the pseudonym, that you are indeed a man) so up on his grammar should make such a rudimentary error as to utilise in a single sentence contradictory pronouns in reference to a single object.

  • @MrFlibble2011 And wouldn't it just be, omfg hillarious, if it turned out that after your oh-so-scathing "professor" jibe it turned out that I actually happened to be a professor?

  • @MrFlibble2011 "You can easily start a sentence as such so long that it is a simple sentence inversion technique where 'and' is heading a dependent clause". I assume you mean "so long as it is a simple sentence inversion"?

  • @MrFlibble2011 I'll pre-empt a response to my own response. I will concede the following to have been posted in haste and thus not properly checked. It is a bit shitty: "And wouldn't it just be, omfg hillarious, if it turned out that after your oh-so-scathing "professor" jibe it turned out that I actually happened to be a professor?". To rephrase: "And wouldn't it be just, omfg hillarious, if after your oh-so-scathing "professor" jibe it turned out that I actually happened to be a professor?"

  • also, it trikes me (sorry if anyone has touched on this before) that he is one of the few people not to follow most white's subconscious line of reasoning, he doesn't feel guilty about white/black history, because he is equipped with knowledge. Funny how when he attempts to make his point with those white guests present, their shutters simply come down and they protest out of fear. Sad that white people can't debate these issues any more without jumping on the P.C. bandwagon when it gets heated.

  • that music is really fucking distracting

  • Stereotypes exist for a reason. We are all a part of some culture, so we should'nt feel sorry for others being stereotyped, because every culture is stereotyped. you can't offend one culture and expect your culture to be lavished upon; something Muslims and Black people have gotten lost on aparantly. Part of being treated equally is being held reposnible for your actions, fact was most of the rioters were black.

  • @mugato316 Oh really? You will stab him? Actually? You will actually walk up and put a knife into Starkey's body? Go on then, and I'll laugh hard when I read about your sorry ass rotting in prison for life. You're just as much of a racist douchebag as Starkey and his little posse. Racism works both ways and phrases like "white prick" and "stupid white ppl" are just as racist as Starkey's moronic comments.

  • A whole bunch of you are confusing 'Jamaican slang' with what is referred to as Multicultural London English and has an equal connection with Jamaican patois as it does Cockney dialects. You backwards haters are ten-a-penny as Mr. Starkey proven. and stretch from the educated to the uneducated. Innit is an English derived word. And regardless, how can linguistics start a riot ?

  • Comment removed

  • Saying that rap music glorifies rioting is truly the ramblings of a man who clearly has been living in the same time period he's been glorifying on television for years. He's out of touch, out of our time period and is just doesn't understand half the things he's talking about, clearly. He's blatantly just said that black culture is corrupting white culture! The BBC will jump the gun at a presenter who makes any type of joke not on the script, yet they'll let a white guy be racist!

  • Like background music!

  • What David Starkley is wrong about is grouping "Black" culture with "Gangsta" culture. "Black" culture can refer to Fiji culture, it is a loose term and yet a volatile one.

  • This buffoon knows if he is controversable he will get paid to appear (mostly)on the bbc.No-one should take him seriously as he knows nothing about modern britain ,the clown

  • i think he means white people acting as they perceive black people, though he was racist

  • The UK really must be in a poor state - I actually find myself agreeing with Starkey for a change. Though he could have underlined that his point was not regarding race, rather gang culture - which is sometimes associated with the former.

  • The riots were started by blacks. Fact.
