Muslims go to great ;lengths to keep men and women seperate by forcing women to wear burqa, cuttting clitorises of women (Egypt & Somalia over 90% women), using rligious police, honor killings etc. Top countries with porn watchers include Pakistan, Saudi arabia. Just in today's news I saw Saudi's don't want women to drive as they will go and have sex. There is so much incest. Even boys are raped in Muslim countries.

It is not what Koran says, what is important is how much it influences its followers. Koran tells men to lower gaze, I think 99% of Muslim men don't do that when they look at a woman, so women are forced to wear burqa and stay home to save tnemselves from Muslim men in Muslim country..

This is Islam to the unnecessary extremes and no wonder people see Muslims, along with religious Christians and Jews as being sexually uptight and highly absurd. @viccram u need to understand something. there is a difference between religion and "peoples character". Muslims are humans and humans have desires and ofcourse they make mistakes. Let's not judge Islam, Quran the pure word of God by looking at "muslims" who are not doing what they are supposed to do. And no one will be escaped from the judgement, whether a muslim or a nonmuslim. The judgement of the Almighty, according to Quran, is equal for all. :)

@viccram, if a woman wanted to take off her Burqa in Afghanistan or certain parts of Pakistan she will be killed, even though in Islam is against women covering up their faces since doing so was an Arab Pagan practice before Islam. So I guess Muslims are going to be walking around looking at the ground because they are afraid to look at the opposite sex, even in a non-sexual manner. That is so sad that you must avoid looking at people even when they are modestly covered. Talk about hang ups.

But I agree if you are so religious and devout, there is no need to ban porn, because you naturally as a good muslim wouldn't be tempted to go to a porn site. You ban born, because you know that the good Muslims will sneak and watch it when no one is looking. Same with the "good" Christians and Jews, too. Religious people are hypocrites really.

@TheSeductiveArts Let's go back to the basics- Muslim means the one who has submitted to the Creator of the heavens and the earth, it does not refer to a cultural religion. Therefore we Muslims don't say our God is better your God is false rather we say there is only ONE God who created the heaves and the earth and to whom we will return anything worshipped besides Him (trees, idols, stones, people) are false. So don't refer to so called "Muslim country" rather refer to Islam.

Real Islam is how Muslims live read Newspapers from Muslim countries. I recently read news from Emirates247dotcom. Searched for rapes and was surprised to see what is happening in Muslim countries.

@viccram You are correct that Islam allows four wives, but it has a special condition to it. It is allowed for those who can carry out the responsibilities of each wife "justly". If a man doesn't do justice with any one of them, he will be severely punished by God on the day of recompense.Furthermore, if a woman finds herself trapped with a bad husband, she has the right to get a divorce unlike in Christianity. If you want to know what Islam is, please read the Quran, not newspapers!

@viccram well, in the west a man can have only one wife but he also can take as much mistresses as he wishes...adultery is not allowed in islam so a man chooses to be with more that one woman he needs to take care of her and give her her rights, and only comes through marriage. and by the way most of muslim men have only one wife. mutta marriage is forbidden in islam,

@viccram talking about rapes... let's see :Every 2 minutes, someone in the U.S. is sexually assaulted- In 2007, there were 248,300 victims of sexual assault in the U.S.(rainn dot org )- now compare this to the rape rate in the middle east which is ten times less than united states... you can do some research yourself and find out.... rape is a crime in islam and the one who does it to a woman, a man or a child should be punished according to the islamic law.

They punish the woman for being rape like they do in Saudi Arabia, Somalia and other countries. If you get rape, Muslims blame the woman for sexually enticing the man, or she needs 2 witnesses to prove that she was raped. Like who just stands around to watch a woman get raped in order to say to the court...
