Great song! I was so happy to find them as my favorite band in the mid 1980's! I walked into a record store one day in 1985 and have never looked back! I bought all of the albums that they had and then became a BIG fan! I have seen them at least 20 times in the last 20 years! Best rock band in the world!!
Rick Nielsen and Todd Rundgren were closed friends. Todd produced one Cheap Trick album. And Rick replaced Todd in Nazz Nazz and took the stage with them during some months around 1969.
There are Very Few bands that i love every song they did . The Beatles , The rolling stones , and cheap tRiCK ! I so HEAVILY influence by these Rockford Il ICONS !
A great American rock band surely at their peak and 'on top of the world'. Tom really rocks that 12 string and white 'Beatle boots'.Great of you to share this with the world. Thanks guys ! How 'bout a retro Cheap Trick DVD release with stuff like this???? PLEASE !!
Sounds like the vocals are out of the monitor mix. A little dry for sure....
BUT....BUT.....it's still a rockin piece of work! This song was *THE* arena rock song. Saw it done several times in big areas and it sounded so good... Oh the memories!
This is so cool!!! I wish other legendary bands would release vintage clips like this. You know why they don't? 'cause none of 'em sound half as good live like CT. Every bootleg/soundboard recording I have of Trick sounds killer regardless of mix. This made my year!!!!!!!!!!
@HeavenBelowMusic I have to agree. They have a formula that works well. Down to the details--the "sound checking" "Hello There," and Bun E.'s unique ghosting on the snare. I just can't get enough of this band's awesome sound.
Rock and Roll HOF! Let 'em in! We'll break down the doors!
Hey zacandtaylorrule, how dare you mention Robin Zander in the same breath as that junkie loser coward Cobain! Robin has more class and style in one strand of hair than Cobain and pals did in their whole (or was that Hole) existance)
Always a favorite song here and this version kicks ass!! What a band!!
@zacandtaylorrule Kurt was a fan of Cheap Trick and they influenced all in Nirvana, the proper way to see the resemblance is how much Cobain took from Robin, hell Robin was almost 20 years older. :O)
both great talents, but Robin is head and shoulders above (damn the hair pun)... (as rick would say) "My lead singer is better than yours"

Not the same song, just the same guitar line...

Ladies and Gentleman Cheap Trick with their new lead singer Robin Cobain. LOL. No seriously doesn't Robin look like Kurt?
