I loved the atmosphere of this game & how the story & gameplay were tied together with the memory system. My first play through was as a Selkie (my friend recommended either Selkie, or Yuke due to benefits that couldn't be improved with Artifacts). I made all of the progress & played most of it alone. De Nam's chronicles tugged on my emotions & when I got his bandana (I played as the one wearing a bandana), I kept it in my inventory at all times, even when I'd have to get rid of other items.

CC was a freaking GIFT and PLEASURE. to say its crap or not a true FF, your DoC, Advent Children and Crisis Core are also shit, because HONESLTY, i prefer the original CC, i got much more play out of it.
@Random8458 crisis core DID have a good story, and Final Fantasy 7 really was a turning point for the franchise, but there is something about EVERY final fantasy that makes it special and not just another random jrpg. I think CC took the franchise into a new area, and i was happy to go along.

This song inspired my love for RPG style games, and my love for this genre of music. The story was fantastic, and the Gameboy Advance controllers were not only baffling at the time, but added a wonderful play style.
The most memorable and fun moments I had with this game was when me and 2 friends hooked up our GBA's and just sat and played for a straight weekend with only a few hours sleep break.

Most fun I've ever had with a multiplayer game to this day, hands-down. Single player was OK, but this with 4 people (and all the equipment) is basically gaming perfection.
This game is amazing, but I would have loved if it had more of an Oregon trail aspect to it. Like actually set out with a group of people that can get sick and need to eat, have a pretty generous amount of time that's not a pain in the ass but still makes you worry for your little town as it gets infected.
If you had friends to pay this game with, I promise you would have thought this was the best game ever. I remember playing late nights with friends just grinding dungeons for weapon materials. One of my all time favorite games.
However, yes, playing alone this game was almost unplayable.

God, I hate to sound like a music-snob, but the out-of-tuneness at around 00:31 drives me crazy. I can never understand how professional recording studios/artists/composers will have an amazing song like this, but re-record a bad note. Its not ad to like she would have to start over from the beginning.
1:43 is my favorite part of this song. The way the woman turns to look at the little one as the sun rises makes me think of a mother's warm and loving embrace. "Don't fear. You'll be safe from now on..." DAMN STRAIGHT! (Love you Mom!)

*sigh* this game is the "mana" version of final fantasy. they set up this great story, but don't put in enough effort to actually tell the story in epic fashion. dont get me wrong, i like the game, i just wish that they wouldve gone deeper into it.
i cant find it either, but what you could always do is, get a double ended jack and plug one end into the mic port on your computer and the other end, plug it into your speaker/head phone port. and record in directly on your comp. then edit the levels a bit to make it sound good.
uh god i hate it when it plays everytime when i select new game or accidentally select it and cant skip it its like torture and when i press the reset button i have to wait a little bit longer >=(
I like both versions of this song. However, I prefer the English version. The vocals are amazing and I know what she's saying without having to look up a translation :p
As for characters, all are great, but my favorite is the horned helm/ He's just so powerful with his focused spear strikes, I heard the Japanese one and I like them about equal, the Japanese one does sound a little softer but is somewhat mystical, she seems to be singing quietly, but echoes in your ear, and contributed to the overall mood. The English one seems to be energizing,this singer was powerful in voice as if rallying the new caravan before the voyage. Celtic tone was nice and lyrics=win
I love both of the versions of this song, japanese and english...for a second there I almost tought it was Celine Dion singing...I think she would make a good version of this song...

I think in this instance, because I heard the english version first, I prefer it that way... BUT normally I prefer the japanese.
I think it all comes down to what gets embedded into my head first...
Case in point; for anime, I am used to Tenchi Muyo and Outlaw Star in english.

I started playing this game again a few weeks ago and it brought back so many good memories, this time I managed o complete it and I was so happy =D
A hard but beautiful game which stunning visuals and wonderful in depth characters.

FFCC is a very peaceful.
They don't have racial issues, as they can all live together in peace.
The characters are very huggable.
When I used to play this, I ALWAYS chose a male lilty(the little ones), I don't know why.
have never played w/ the other characters, are they any good?

The selkies are excelent especialy when using focus atacks and if spells are yor thing the yuke make pulling of the pawerful one veery easily

i cant find it either, but what you could always do is, get a double ended jack and plug one end into the mic port on your computer and the other end, plug it into your speaker/head phone port. and record in directly on your comp. then edit the levels a bit to make it sound good.

I like both versions of this song. However, I prefer the English version. The vocals are amazing and I know what she's saying without having to look up a translation :p

As for characters, all are great, but my favorite is the horned helm/ He's just so powerful with his focused spear strikes, I heard the Japanese one and I like them about equal, the Japanese one does sound a little softer but is somewhat mystical, she seems to be singing quietly, but echoes in your ear, and contributed to the overall mood. The English one seems to be energizing,this singer was powerful in voice as if rallying the new caravan before the voyage. Celtic tone was nice and lyrics=win
