That only works if you stare into the gaze(the green line from her body). After beating her, you can use her head to turn stuff to stone. I think he just doesn't give her the chance to do so.

in god of war its kind of different, you have to gaze into her eyes while hse shooting a beam at you for a short time, i find it kind of strange myself, they should of incorporated a shield into the game as a way to reflect the stare

Wow! I am amazed! I had such a hard time with this part. I am curious why Medusa never blocks during the infinite. She seems to block/counter nearly everything from me :)

I love part 2 the best. I had no idea that Medusa would just let you open the chest while she recovers? lol

The problem I've always had with min% challenges is that I always feel constrained, and that's the point. I like to be free and just GO.

SDA is just a place that hordes speedruns to me. That is the only interest I have in them. They are just a known place that gets speedruns done or at least accepts them.

I don't think AKheon is at your speedrunning play level. His observations are good but I've had no reason to suspect he can perform with the level of excellence you've displayed already.

As of now I can't pull off 3-5 of Satvara's more advanced skips needed in the run, but otherwise I think I would do rather well.

As an added bonus, my copy of GoW has the music glitch Poseidon gate skip possibility. \m/

1:21 is immortalized on DVD in my personal archives. I just didn't see the need for a reup once I did CoA in one minute, as it became more machinima than speed run after that.

I like them because they narrow my focus to 'basics'..then I innovate with those. Thus I do 'focus runs' where I try to only use a certain weapon/spell/relics/attack. Testing for glitches, exploits and the like doesn't hurt either. I have small successes in GoW1 with navigation and speedrunning tricks but mostly..I'm about the combat.

In that you aren't often 'visibly available'. Sort of like Shinobier.

Like Shinobier and other high level players, you aren't a regular nor often visibly interested/active. You would have been invited (by me) quite soon after I'd seen your return to GoW1.

AKheon was brought in specifically for discussions of his GoW1 Glitch FAQ.

A few old regulars eventually got invites but otherwise, it's just made of regulars during the banning crisis.
