  • I haven't tested my ecig in the airport, yet, but I have used it in a Denny's restaurant. Many Denny's in my area allow them simply because they are NOT cigarettes. Thank you, Denny's!

  • Ive nevered had issues with TSA with my Ecig

  • 3+ years ago, I stopped smoking because I replaced that habit with e-cigs. I still have the e-cig habbit/hobby, enjoy it, and don't have any desire to stop it. It's calming and prevents me from snacking on stuff that is probably much more harmful than an e-cig with a little nicotine, flavoring, and PG. My employer recently enforced a smoking ban for the entire premises, including anywhere outside, including in our cars, in the parking lot. I am getting better at stealth vaping. But, Grrrrr.

  • Anyone in the UK or native airline travellers: Monarch have banned e-cigs on their flights & heard that Birmingham Airport hold negitive views on e-cigs. However haven't come across any other airlines or airports with a negitive attitude & Ryanair even sell e-cigs on board their flights.

  • Pretty soon the tsa will ban taking a piss..I'm sick of this crap and tyranny of control in this country ..I love my e cigarette collection..take a train they allow them on some of them

  • Yes, what you say is true. I have used a lot of different electronic cigarettes. I had a lot of problems with cheaper models the automatic e cigs. i had one in my shirt pocket and it was almost red hot ! It was not shutting off as it ought to. Another one was left on my coffee table I went to pick it up and it too was red hot the automiser was still "alive" and had not shut itself off. I use much more expensive models now....but saying that, I did have one similar problem !

  • I agree I think it should be banned on places such as planes and hospitals because it's Not just Because of second hand smoke it's many variables and not only that's but other people may think your smokeing so.

    (P.S I'm not 18)

  • legend. keep up the good work man. ther nothing worse than being on a long hale flight and not being able to have a cig

  • Hey Sean. Having a great time watching your vids. Not sure if you take requests, but Any chance you could compare any of the newer volcano kits to the blucigs brand? Do you have a preference between these 2 brands?

  • Great video, very informative, but i have one question. You didn't specify what the TSA ban would do. Will it ban the use of E-Cigs on planes, will it ban E-Cigs from being in your carry-on luggage, or will it completely ban them from all luggage (checked and carry-on). If anyone could answer that would be great, I'm about to take a trip and I don't want to end up having to ship it back to myself. Thanks.

  • When are you going to make a new vid?

  • I cannot agree more with the post below. It's all about us being able to carry them in our luggage not to use them in front of everyone in the cabin. Be smart like Zraden says INCONSPICUOUSLY

  • Ppl, please, stop being dumb with your e cig. I enjoy puffing in doors at work when its minus 40 outside. I enjoy sitting in a bar or restaurant after my meal or a drink and puff. I enjoy sitting in the movie theater through a 2 hour movie being able to puff with out leaving 1/2 way through for 10 mins and lastly, when I have to sit on a plane for 5 to 7 hours, I enjoy vaping "INCONSPICUOUSLY" through the flight so when its over, im not kicking and punching ppl to run out side and smoke.

  • The second point she brought up was that not all smokers have access to a e cig and 4 hours in to your flight a analog smoker sees you smoking and tempts them to run to the bathroom and light up a standard cig.

Have i used an e cig on a plane? Def have. Do I sit there and puff a cloud for all to see? Def not! Grab a small puff, hold it in for a lot longer then usual and blow down to my feet or through my sleeve. leaving no evidence of what im doing.

  • Seriously people. Lets face it. The airline is using the excuse "its a fire hazard" as a crutch! I have talked to an airline stewardess about this and she brought 2 very valid points as to why they dont want them on the airline. The first being you know its vapor.... but no one else does. For all they know the plane is now on fire or your trying to start the plane on fire and naturally, passengers are going to get mad.

  • any press on the e-cig is good, its pushing more information out to people to switch from cigarettes to e-cigs. even if were not allowed to vap on a plane, thats the way the cookie will crumble, I do not own the airplane so i will have to listen to their rules. The fact is... when you tell people not to do something, Or you cannot buy this, or you cannot use this.... More People Will Do Just That.

  • hey i just sent u a msg with youtube.. check it if u have time so u can answer some of my doubts.. thanks :D

  • Sorry PriosLivi I don't mean to sound like I'm trying to start an argument here or anything but what your saying then is that a fire alarm would go off if a vapour was to pass through it? Not once in my house has my fire alarms gone off whilst boiling the kettle. It goes absolutly nuts though if I burn toast. And never before has my fire alarm gone off when the wife is doing the dusting.

  • smoke alarm do not only get started by smoke, but dust, steam, vapour and other thing with small particals in it. since smoke detectors work on the principle, that there is a laser/whatever beam of light, if this beam is stopped by a small particale, then the alarm goes on. So on the basis of that, the vapor you exhale might be labouled dangerous, since it has small particals is in, may start the fire/smoke alarms. I would suggest less vapour - that is partly the point of this device anyway.

  • Thing that gets me is like a few people have said, lighters and matches are allowed on board yet ecigs are looking down the wood of the ban bat. . . What could you possibly want with a lighter or matches on board an airplane? How stupid. They should reverse their efforts and ban the things that are actually designed to create FIRE!

Jesus it makes me so angry that these people who supposedly run our countries can be so naive! Wake up!

  • I've been smoking ecigs for 2 months now and love it! Thanks for this series of informational videos supporting this great invention. A lot less harmful (if it's harmful at all) than traditional cigs. Govt doesn't like it because they lose money on it. Fight for your rights!

  • Wow, if you watch his first video and then his most recent his voice is so much different. Sounds way better.....much healthier.

  • A fire hazard? Hmmm....i know a few times ive just puffed to long and the atomizer heats up and becomes very warm...but along with the that i get an awefull taste from it and so i stop.

Ya know, off topic here, but i just dont know why the big companies havent gotten their hands on these yet. They could really change the way the e-cig is viewed and can change smoking completely.

  • Of all the things E cigs could get banned for fire has to be the most outrageous yet. You made a good point bringing up that a lighter is allowed. because that actually involves fire. It IS water vapor for Christ's sake.

  • Just got back from a trip and I did vape on the airplanes. I used a palm sized e-cig (Wicked Stick) and just let the vapor slowly leak out. No one said a thing to me about it. In the Atlanta airport I vaped in the smoking area and did stir up questions from people about e-cigs. As we know smoking areas in airports are getting fewer and fewer. I did vape in the airports and no one bothered me about it but I was being descrete and not just blowing vapor around. I use a manual batt. not auto.

  • Am I the only one amused by the fact they would attempt to ban it as being a fire hazard, yet they lifted the ban on cigarette lighters and matches... :rolls eyes:

  • Hey Shawn: How does TSA reach to your E cigs when you go thru the metal detectors. I'm flying in a few weeks and I am worried they were take it at that point.

  • i think it speaks more to the fact that other smokers on the plane would be getting upset that they did not have this option. and you don't want to upset a smoker when he is 2 hours into a flight without a cigarette LOL I agree with the 'go into the bathroom' move. there is no sense in causing a scene.

  • My SB is no more of a fire hazard than my iPod. We should tell the TSA to ban all portable electronic devices if they want to ban e-cigs.

  • you see these predator corporations and organizations gradually trying to wound the e-cig market at every facet and angle but they are trying to do it in a way that before many potential smokers even know the product exists it will be less convenient to use it then every other nicotine product available. Tests have even shown that e-cigs have less of that potentially harmful substance then the nicotrol inhaler (you know the one the fda is "unsure" about in regards to it's effects on people)

  • to many regulations, might as well go back to the real ones, everybody speaks of education, well they should get educated?

  • i smoked on the bus and no one said anything :) it was amazin.

  • We are fighting an uphill battle with e-cigs. Big tobacco has lobbyists pushing hard against them as they are eating their profits. And government is pushing hard against them as they are losing tax revenue.

As far as being a fire hazard, it is possible. But it's more on the home mod side when people use unprotected batteries. I have heard a few stories of them malfunctioning and exploding, no fires but explosions non then less.

  • @Xenite227 I agree, the ability for a battery to explode is possible but any ION battery can do this including Iphone and computer batteries. I just do not get it. A lighter is allowed onboard and in my opnion is the ultimate ignition device.

  • Yes, I agree about being careful where you use it especially if you don't want to explain your actions. I often encourage people if they are uncomfortable with vaping and need a nicotine fix to put a little dab on your finger and lick it. Besides if you hold the vape in you won't get and steam on the exhale. Now to the issue of a fire hazard, all I can say is what?

  • Another great video, Sean. I recommend vaping low-pro in those kind of places. One a plane, hold in the vapor to ghost it; then a slow exhale into my blanket. You CAN set off a smoke alarm with vapor, I've done it at home. Took 4 vapers puffing hard to do it though.

  • @NicFitNation This is a really good comment, please vote it up so others see it and it does not get lost in the comments.

  • We didn't smoke on air planes.. people just need to chill for a bit, this is still so new to so many people. baby steps. go to the bathroom like Sean suggests.
