I bought this album on vinyl in late 1988, so I'm going to venture that the festival was 1987. By the time I saw the TR Unit play this at the Iron Horse, again in '88, the arrangement was really tight. Great stuff!
I have this video called legends of the flatpicking guitar and he is on it as well. He is dancing aroung playing Sally Goodin I think and as soon as he realizes that there is a camera man in front of the stage who is focusing on hum, he straightens up and tries to act all serious and professional. Its pretty funny.
LOL If you think that's weird, you should see some of the bluegrass musicians I play with on Saturday nights! They're crazy! It's all part of the show if you ask me!

You were just on another post complaining about Ronnie Bowman being drunk at a jam session singing and you're actually commenting here where most of the musicians playing are amped on cocaine. You're a contradicting doofus.

Wow! great song! And also Tony plays without a capo, anybody notice!?
Shoshoni2 4 months ago
@Shoshoni2 Thats because the song is recorded and played in the key of G, which requires no capo to play.

@owsleyforkmusic You're right man! He even sings: "It's me in the key of G and you call me uncle John" hehe
