I'm trying to think of a good analogy for this -- something akin to kindly asking the car thief to grab hold your house keys while you run for just a mo' to grab a drive-thru coffee and an Egg McMuffin.

Look, I don't like ceremonies and standing on protocols. One thing -- per sequitur -- that makes the IDF so efficient, for example, is the sheer flatness of its seniority hierarchy, and the fact that Israeli commanders expect results -- not platitudinous horseshit -- from their subordinates.
