  • It seems a bit unfair to blame the train company for railway crossing accidents, considering that the only way you can get hit by a train is if you are completely ignoring the lights, crossing gates or not looking for a train anyway.

However, if there's a derailment or some freak accident (doors opening while you're leaning on them), that's when you should sue.

  • It was suicide.

  • Just an FYI, I am not the law firm doing the Chatsworth Metrolink accident town hall meeting at the Marriott Hotel, I just market on line and generally do not do press conferences to try and sign of victims of tragic train accidents.

  • What the heck! i wondered what happened to your video!

  • Weirdness. How have you been? Any more cool train videos?

  • No more right now! I just cant believe how people cant see the need after something like this for attorney help.

  • Keep em coming. Excellent work with a basic editing system.

  • Wow, you are right on with your message! I do not feel you are exploiting anything here, because the bottom line is that when these people begin to heal and their families begin to re build their lives, they are going to need you. I was in a very very bad car accident a long time ago and I know exactly how this works. Believe me people, you are gonna want a good lawyer by your side.

  • Olchev speaks the truth. We are investigating the possibility that other lawyers are extremely angry we have a web presence on this issue, and thus, they are unfairly doing everything they can to defame our law firm.

  • This lawyer's website has 9 other videos dealing with various hypothetical injury situations providing information and a contact number. Not one of them is newer than 4 months old.

I had a loved one on that train or was run over by a city bus, I want to call someone who can help. There are other injury lawyer commercials on TV I have seen over the last month. None of them promote tragedy.

  • Actually, this video was put up almost year before the event and there have been other train accidents in Chatsworth. I respect your opinion, however.

Do you think it better that the people injured in this event hire a lawyer who is a friend, rather than someone who actually knows how to litigate a train accident case?

  • You are just using this Horrible event to advertise for your self!!!!

  • Thanks Olchev. I mourn for the families and patiently await the results of the NTSB investigation

  • This video was nothing more than an advertisement video made several months ago. I see no malice on the attorney's part or ambulance chasing here, just information and a contact number. No different than what we see on TV everyday. Let the NTSB complete the investigation and lets see what really happened and learn from it.

  • I was noticing that if you are a lawyer, and you want to help people in a train accident, they call you names, but if you are a leftist news organization like LA times and you sell advertising to lawyers, your ok.

Sounds like bullshit to me. At least this guy is waiting for people to call him instead of camping out at the hospital or capping.

BTW. I like the video and although it is grainy, it covers a lot of good info in just a 40 seconds. Good work dude.

  • Thanks for the information. Good to know someone already has prior knowledge of these things and can give sound advice.

  • Thanks. I hope that as a result of my voice in the desert for the last few years, that people will finally pressure Metrolink to make it happen and fix the system.

  • Censoring or suppressing information is in bad taste.

  • Awesome information. Victims' families need to know this. It can't bring loved ones back, but it can help them move on.

  • This is really some good information, not many people would know to do anything about a train crash.

  • Wow, terrible accident, but I dont get all the degrading posts. If the video has been here for months, then it has to be other lawyers that are pissed. Why else is it such a big deal, gives people information it looks like they might need. My best to the families suffering from this crash.

  • There seems to be a lot of negative comments on a video that simply explains what people that have been involved in one of these horrible accidents can do and what avenue they can take. Not to mention that this is not a new video, one has to wonder if is it not competitors that have the negative comments. My thoughts are with those dealing with this horrible train accident.

  • My guess is that there are other lawyers posting these negative comments as well. After all, this video was put up over 6 months ago.

  • Thanks.

  • Thank you for your kind remarks

  • What a load of horse poo

  • Is over 6 months old. Did not have a crystal ball when it was posted. What is in bad taste?

  • We represent victims of all train accidents, so what is to correct?

The video is about all train accidents, not just Metrolink. So why does it need to be only related to: "the 2002 Placentia, 2005 Glendale, and 2008 Chatsworth incidents?"

We represent anyone who was injured to to pure, or partial negligence of trains.

  • We can do another video about Amtrack. Keep in mind the video is over six months old and is by no means comprehensive.

  • @Spokker:

You raise many interesting issues. But it is foreseeable that a person could park or stop their car or truck on a track.

Please cite your authority for which you assert: "Most people who are killed by trains are themselves to blame when they attempt to "beat the train" by driving around barriers or walking along tracks, effectively trespassing on railroad property"

I would be interested in seeing your sources.

  • I think the burden of proof is on you...if you are on railroad property other than at a designated crossing, you are tresspassing. Trains can't veer out of the way. People are not being forced to stand in front of the train while it hits them. Trains have the right of way at all times, and people who fail to yield are at fault. What evidence do you have that suggests otherwise?

  • You cite 1,000 train related deaths per year on your web site. However, this number is only in the double or single digits when you count passengers on the actual trains who were killed.

Most people who are killed by trains are themselves to blame when they attempt to "beat the train" by driving around barriers or walking along tracks, effectively trespassing on railroad property.

  • Federal guidelines are a floor and not a ceiling. California negligence law still applies. If you want to learn more, I suggest you enroll in law school.

  • @H4ngingtest1cles

So let me get this straight, take down a 6 month video that helps people who were injured in Metrolink accidents?

What are these: "obvious implications of misinterpretations."

  • Vertex Communications sends our thoughts and prayers to the victims.

  • @akoustikg:

Hear hear. Don't forget if you live in the area do donate blood.

  • I feal really bad for those folks who didn't make it home from Work or School, it could've been anybody and unfortunately these people bore the brunt of the impact. Its a sad day in Los Angeles when we lose fellow citizens..My thoughts go out to those affected.

  • Yes, just off Fox News, the Metrolink was at fault, and now 23 dead. I'm a full time firefighter for 23 years. My heart goes out to not just to all the family members who lost a loved one, but to the firefighters, who will for years to come, will re-live in there minds and dreams over & over, all of those images of those who did not make it. Stay strong brothers!

  • PLEASE, keep this video here. It has helped us to know where to turn in this time of suffering. I hope others are helped by this information. I would have never known what to do. Thanks.

  • May God rest their souls.

  • UPDATE: 23 dead

  • @IndianaRails:

I appreciate your comments, but this is an educational video designed to help people injured in train accidents that was put up almost a year before the most recent Chatsworth Metrolink accident.

There may be some people who need legal assistance, who are searching for information online and I will let them decide to view it or not.

My thoughts and prayers are with the victims. The LA Times and other people also post news and information about train accidents as well.

  • I understand that this is an 'old posted video' you (injurylawyers) have to admit that is bound to draw negative attention - less than 24-hours after a horrific Metro Link crash. The timing is not the best in the world.

You might want to pull this until the shock wears off and more time passes. Might save you backlash.

Don't take me wrong, I have no clue who you are and I don't really care! Just some advice from someone that has experienced public backlash of mis-timed advertising.

  • The timing was over 6 months ago, so what is there to admit?

  • Again, this is an old video.

  • Video was made and posted well before the recent incidents, look at the posted date.

  • This video was made well before the Chatsworth Metrolink accident and the music is just regular bumper music. My heart goes out to the victims and I am a little confused why we are getting so many spam attacks for having an educational video about metrolink accidents in Los Angeles.

  • this guy is gonna be rich

  • That was not the intent of this video

  • Agreed. Sad, but agreed.

  • I agree that the music is too cheerful for the topic.

  • You might want to re-edit this video with more solemn music.

  • good information, but bad presentation

  • train accident video by marine michael ehline.

  • Thanks for the compliments

  • The very first metrolink accident attorneys your tube video. cool!
