  • Cool man. I've always to get into storm chasing professionally or otherwise. Ever since the Tornadoes here I always get that little voice inside that says, "just stay in the house dude."

  • There was also a storm that hit Wetaskiwin around 7:30pm. And by the looks on the radar it was the nastiest, I can't believe I was chasing another storm lol. I should have stayed home that day lol

  • No kidding! I've heard stories about completely different weather in separate parts of the city as well. Edmonton is so sprawled out that especially in spring and summer, these localized thunderstorms will have the effect of striking over specific areas. There is someone else on YouTube who filmed the same storm and judging by the radar image they obtained of this storm, you guys on the south side had the nastiest, most intense part of the thunderstorm.

  • Where in Edmonton was this? In the west end, we only had isolated, infrequent lightning strikes.

  • This was waaaay south side in Summerside. Interesting that you say that because in the past people have often told me stories of different weather in separate parts of the city. We definitely live in a cool place!
