Brock even said he was taking heavy hits, he will never admit to being close to being KOed, but he was getting rocked around the cage, he has a good chin and keeps composed. I decided to watch this fight again after watching back in July, and I noticed two things. Shane gassed out within the first 10 punches he threw at Brock on the ground, and he didn't land that much. Even though people thought that fight should have been stopped I don't think it would have been wise, plus Brock got up to a dominant position towards the end of the round.
