  • As of today, this is the only Metroid game I've ever played, and I love it to death. And this song is great ^^

  • @DarthFennec Really try hard to find a way to play Super Metroid, you'll love it if you loved this.

  • Chronologically speaking we haven't had a single Metroid game go past this point of time yet huh?

  • Wish the volume was higher :[

  • Metroid Fusion remake plz.

  • The Metroid Times states that Metroid: Other M's story takes place before Metroid Fusion's story came around.

  • @MushroomBoy64

no duh, it's set right after super metroid

even though it kind of sucks

  • makes me think of sneaking into some high security compound...

    just me?

  • This, along with "On the Way to X" and the Phendrana Drifts theme on Metroid Prime, is the best videogame music I've heard.

  • Ugh... When the game zoomed in on the Sa-X's face, and you saw those eyes... Those eyes......! *shivers* Horror movies have nothing on this game.

  • Possibly my favorite GBA game ever.

  • Adam in Metroid Fusion: "Good bye...Lady." OMG WTF AWESOME!!!

Adam in Metroid: Other M: "Adam, you so crazy!!!111 LOL"

  • SupraDarky, you are missing a lot of Metroid music, specially Fusion. ;)

  • @Michaelmj16 I have done the same

  • My favorite metroid game of all time!

  • lol i used to get so stuck on this part.

  • La atmosfera de este juego es impresionante, sin duda es estupendo el juego este.

  • This was my first Metroid game, and I still love it to this day. I plan to play through it again when my Gameboy Micro comes in. It's interesting how this game was so much more atmospheric and creepy (and good!) than Metroid Prime: Hunters even though Hunters was superior in graphics and sound. Hey Nintendo: there is NO reason to not do another 2D Metroid. Thumbs up if you want Dread!

  • Tired of your current 9 To Five placement? Go to roulettecash, org and make approximately Three Thousand Three Hundred Dollar month monthly over the internet!

  • I lost my metroid fusion game at an airport.

God I miss it, this game will always be special to me.

  • My friend had this game, and I really loved it. So we swapped games for a while, me giving him the extremely crappy Pokemon Pinball, he giving me this masterpiece. I always used to hide it whenever he came by to my home, so that "Oops I can't find it, what a shame" happened. When I finally gave it back to him, I almost cried (I WAS six at the time, after all).

  • No way out man Asian women lushfmlk.info

  • this is my favorite Metroid game

I've played 'em all except the Prime series and Other M

  • @13bkat .......get a gamecube(or wii), go to gamestop, buy fucking metroid prime and beat it.Repeat on prime 2

Same goes for 3.You are banished from youtube till then.Good luck on prime 2

  • That motherfucking Nightmare kept me at this game for six years (on and off) before I could finally beat it. Game was a cakewalk after Nightmare though.

  • OMG people SA-X is not a "she" like dark samus it's an IT lol if u seen its other form u can take into consideration that it not only absorbed samus but other creatures as well not only that but it was already presumed as a biological warfare weapon the moment the Galactic Federation what uses it had lol

  • @omegafreddy12 Except by that same logic, Dark Samus isn't a "she" either, asshole. Phazon absorbs and consumes biological entities just the way the X Parasite does, and it wasn't just CONSIDERED for use as biological warfare by the Galactic Federation, it WAS used for it by both them and the Space Pirate forces(Phazon Troopers/Elite Troopers/Omega Pirate in MP1, PED Troopers and Pirates in MP3).

  • @0nlyfu calm down lol im saying at first the GF had no clue what the SAX was really capable of , and by that i meant "consideration" as for Dark Samus it's true, she or it is a being comprised of an entity like the SA-X however they portray Dark Samus in a feminine fashion is all.

  • @0nlyfu Actually, SA-X IS Dark Samus. IT's the final game in the series in the timeline. After Prime 3, the essence of Dark Samus was absorbed by the X Cores and became SA-X. Awesome.

  • @disgaeahavok The X were able to multiply and several SA-X were on board, luckly she did not have to face more than one at a time. It would have been interesting.

  • @disgaeahavok Um, that's great that you have your own theory, but it's kinda completely impossible. At the end of Corruption, Phaaze is destroyed, and all Phazon in the universe is destroyed with it. Furthermore, all creatures that were infected with Phazon or mutated by it reverted to their original state, which is indicated and proven by Samus' bloodstream being purged of all traces of it(as you can see, she's not even wearing the PED in the final cutscene).

  • @0nlyfu It's true. While Dark Samus and Phazon did die, how does the X gain her DNA? HMM? It got hold of some trace of DS and absorbed it.

  • @disgaeahavok In the opening cutscene of the game Samus is infected with the X.... in the BSL stations

  • @OdnetninAdlez I KNOW that, dummkopf. But the X was killed by the Metroid vaccine. Now, if all the Xs are linked together somehow, than yes, that explanation would be viable. But to my current knowledge, they aren't linked together.

  • @disgaeahavok Scientists had to surgically remove parts of her suit which were infected by the X, and the X used these parts to form SA-X. The vaccine only destroyed the X's which were embedded in her central nervous system, but not the ones on her suit. Therefore, the X used the removed suit to form SA-X. This is also the explanation as to why the SA-X looks more like Samus than Samus herself, since her OLD SUIT was copied, and how the SA-X has no visible pupils.

  • @disgaeahavok Take a look at the game's opening again. According to the game's canon, the scientists who treat Samus after the X infect her have to surgically remove parts of her Varia Suit(this occurs before they concoct the Metroid-based vaccine, of course. This all takes place in the prologue). The parts are then moved to the Quarantine Bay, which is where you first spot the SA-X.

As for how the X got her DNA.. Samus' power suit is bonded to her symbiotically. It contains her DNA.

  • @iheartfailblog

You should try getting the SA-X theme for your ringtone. =D Shit bricks every time your phone rings.

  • Hey I'd better make myself clear for those of lesser intelligence like Cloud6563. Instead of saying this game was the shit, I will change my opinion to "This game was the best, I had a lot of fun playing it. It is awesome. Period." Thanks!

  • THIS GAME WAS THE SHIT. Period.

  • @dorgrim wtf are ou smoking this game is grat and if you think that just go away dont troll like a bitch

  • @cloud6563 Hey dumb-fuck, i said this game was the shit, which means this game was awesome. I know it was good. Thanks for looking like a complete moron in front of the viewers. :)

  • @dorgrim Heroic comment.

Fusion isn't my favorite in the series, but it was a damn good game. Is it weird that being restrained by Adam strengthened the experience for me? It was done well, unlike that abomination Other M.

  • I like this game for horror part and for one thing: SA-X is not like your shadow. There is no "If you stop - you screwed". Still your encounter SA-X sometimes and this is more realistic, than "wallhack" monster.

  • i wonder wut it would be like to have encountered the SA-X in something like Other M....

  • @perryperez

If SA-X is back in Metroid:Other ,i 'd instantly buy a Wii with the game.

Metroid Fusion has the honor of being the only GBA game that made me shit my pants, even 3 years after buying it,i still can't play it alone.

  • @clickingpinging Other M are between Super Metroid and Metriod Fusion. After completion this game, i start thinking: loks like Other M created especially to tell us, who is the real Adam Malkovich.

  • @clickingpinging - Then I'd suggest you play Metroid II: Return of Samus :3 Metroid Fusion is basically a spiritual succsessor to Metroid II, likewise with Metroid Other M (in my opinion).

  • Its games with music like this that contributed to me liking metal lol.

  • back in the day, this music used to send chills up my spine and make my hair stand on end. It still does to this day. So eerie and mysterious, and freaky too...

  • I like the tune of this and its almsot like

    Streetlights (Autechre - Eutow)

  • I remember playing this game back in June and then noticing that a new Fusion-esque Metroid game was on the way, and thus getting super hyped for it.

Unlike that game this really is super awesome. The soundtrack isn't as good as Super Metroid but it's still excellent, which is saying something.

  • First time i saw the SA-X, after it, I was felling like it was behind me all the time...

  • If this game gets remade in 3D, not only would it be as cool as the original, it would be very scary. Really, this game goes into the survival horror category at times.

    I love Fusion so much.

  • Are the 2D Metroid titles some of the only 2D horror games out there that work...? Or is it just another element?

  • This game really had it down with SA-X. I felt emotionally drained after every encounter with it. Heart pound, edge of the seat, afraid to move, afraid to run, afraid to get stuck somewhere while running away...Then I got the screw attack, but by then I was invincible anyway.

  • Yeah this game seemed more like a horror game more for the fact that SA-X scared me so bad those eyes O_O Actually for the final fight with SA-X I was like omg no freeze missile repeat. Then thought maybe for the final form.... Stay high, turns out the door to the control room, the final form cant jump that high, charge wave beam? I think so!

  • @MrPoiuyt123 Oh my... Nightmare shadow make me drop the GBA.

  • 5 ppl were really 5 X absorbed by samus

  • @HyperKadaj win

  • Running from the SA-X was the most intense part of this game. Everytime you were running for your fucking life. Mess up in the slightest bit and you're fucked.

  • Did anyone kinda take the regular power suit for granted until playing this game?

  • I used to always hate Metroid, but now... I seem to like it.

This here is my favorite game in the series. Heck... this tune alone made me buy the game.

  • This is stil one of my favorite GBA games :P

    nice gameplay and so on

and yee it was scary first time i playd xD

  • Why is it that every metroid game scare the shit outta me

  • I never realised how bloody hard it is to find the bloody notes for this. Nobody has made a .midi file , so I'm making a mod all by ear...

    .. it's not good...

  • 0:22 - 0:25 best part!!

  • I don't care wha anyone says.

    Best game in the series.

  • i played this when i was little, then i saw the Sa-x, it scared the crap out off me! and not knowing when you would see it, and then the music that would play when you would encounter it xD

  • I love how they remade this in Brawl, like a typical orchestrated and epic version as you would hear in the Metroid Prime games.

  • ...And then, someone found a cure.

  • @kkk635506 But 7 people didn't recieve it.

  • This in contrast to the other Metroid games, in my opinion, was actually really scary. Never was sure when SA-X would come out. OMG when you 1st go down the elevator and he breaks through the wall....fuck...

  • @stryfe1000 its acually a girl because its an evil samus

  • @vert5577 The X are asexual, they don't have a gender.

  • I love Super Metroid 2, uh, I mean Metroid Fusion

  • Its a shame that this, Super Metroid, and Zero Mission are the only true Metroid games. The first 2 are heaps different and the Prime series, while very enjoyable, are also very different. Thumbs up if you want more 2D sidescrolling action!

  • @MrMinkStar No way. MP is SM in 3D. Think about it.

MP was about as perfect a transition from 2D to 3D as you can get. Unless you're allergic to the first-person perspective.

That said, I'd love a new 2D game on the DS.

  • @MrMinkStar i like both 3d and 2d and i was born in the early 90's when super metroid and honestly both visual styles show metroid for what it truly is they just show it differently.

  • when i was a bit younger, i could never get past the part after giant spider boss because the SA-X scared the living shit outta me (piece of cake now, of course)

  • i hated that spider with pasion, and SA-X scared me to death to when i was a kid now i just try to avoid her since she is still is OP and can easily kill me

  • HAHA Same thing for me XDD...or when the first time showing up you'd see It's face through the helmet ... Freaky.

  • lol, i remember the first time i met the SA-X, accidentally fell through the dissapearing floor and got owned

  • sa-x was scary. at first i though he was my friend and got owned by him

  • You don't read game dialogue, do you?

  • ROFL

  • Great game. Yeah, the SA-X is like the freakin' Nemesis off Resident Evil. Scary bastard...

  • I like this version better. The brawl remix had too much rock in it. Personally, I don't think it fits.

  • At first, I thought "damn, this lifeform is fucking merciless." then i saw the sa-x. And found out that a 2-d sidescroller can also be a brilliant horror game. Seriously, that fucker still scares me today.

  • Indeed! My least favorite part of that game was trying to run away from SA-X after the auxiliary power turns back on... Freaks me out

  • @Slinkie45 That was the part that I could NEVER do!!! I would always die from that or the spider boss thing earlier!!! About a week ago however I finally did it!!! 5 years in waiting and I beat it!

  • Haha! Congrats! The game is smooth sailing from then on.

  • @Malphas87 Heh, pair that with the fact that I was 12 when the game came out and that I played a good portion of it late at night when my parents were asleep so that I wouldn't get booted off. I'd like to get a reading of what my blood pressure was then.

  • @Malphas87 Scared me till I found out how poorly done the SA-X's AI was...

  • beat it in one day, damn that samus clone!!!

  • This is definitely one of my favourite GBA games! It looks GREAT, especially if you have the Game Cube GBA player :D

  • Agree !

  • Just wanting to see something.

Thumbs up if your heart stopped the first time meeting up with the SA-X.

  • I was literally shocked. I never expected Nintendo to put something THAT evil in the game.

  • It still gives me shivers. It's strange. I downloaded it the first time I played it

.....but you know what? It was so Damn good I went out, searched for it and bought it! I loves it.

  • @Metaroid

i went down there, jumped back up, and hit sax with a missle, and she just walked away... shes that retarded

  • @CodenameX96 hey dont ya know?! THE SA-X IS THE MOST INTELIGENT LIFE FORM THERE IS (XD sarcastic) seriously the SA-X fails at logic and life lmfao

  • @Metaroid I was only a small child , I actually shat myself every time I saw that thing's face.. I was so scared I refused to look at the screen. The strings didn't help either.

  • @Metaroid no, but it still freaked the hell outta me

  • @Metaroid damn i freaken agree no the part where my heart almost stop is in the second time you return to sector 2 and have to escape SA-X to a dead end that time where those roots turned off the station

  • @Metaroid Lol, AND the first time you see it, Or actually I should say hear it, I wouldnt move from where I was for an hour. no lie.

  • @azumangafreak17 lol Yeah pretty much same here =3 And Nightmare aint to fun either.

  • @Pawoverlord ikr. Took me like..10000 tries haha

  • @Metaroid My heart still does.

If Metroid games scare me, and I'm getting to Resident Evil 4 for the first time soon...

  • @LinkMarioSamus resident evil 4 isn't supposed to be scary if you want scary go with silent hill 2. Resident evil 4 is survival action not horror.

  • @SlamTheLabel I have actually played and beaten RE4 since then and it wasn't much more scary than this.

  • @LinkMarioSamus then why did you say you're getting to resident evil 4 soon?

  • @SlamTheLabel The message you replied to was from 10 months ago, in case it wasn't obvious.

  • @SlamTheLabel

What are you talking about? System Shock 2 is much scarier.

  • @RATPT0I system shock? Howso? Silent hill has scary down. Stuff jumping up at you doesn't define scary.

  • @SlamTheLabel

Oh.... you obviously haven't played SS2. One of the many scare factors is Shodan. Imagine Glados, only actually threatening.

  • @RATPT0I i've heard the music and seen the game and the overall presentation for me is what makes me fear it. System shock doesn't make me feel scared at all and the computer at the end was a let down. How was that supposed to be scary?

  • @SlamTheLabel

You're judging a game without playing it? Shame on you. And you call yourself a gamer.

  • @Metaroid at the end of the game, when the music stops, you hear the explosion, and she pops up out of nowhere I dam near shit my pants. My exact words were:

    "FUUUUUCK THAAAAAT!"

  • @Metaroid And especially when "she" first looks into the camera!....

  • the hardest boss in the game is the spider that gives you the space jump after you beat it

  • god I hate that boss so much, if he grabs you he takes out half of your life

  • It's hard as hell at first, but once you grasp the pattern, it's pretty easy.

  • i mean when i first played it

  • na nightmare and ridley-x were hard

  • to beat ridley-x all you had to do was charge up your beam and shoot him. it is was easier than using your ice super missiles.

  • haha the black widow? every time he grabs you, the idiot takes away two energy tanks.

  • His name is Yakuza, and he's a PAIN IN THE ASS.

  • Damn right, I died like 50 times on my first Metroid Fusion run because of him!

  • The SA-X. An enemy with my strongest abilities. But has it reason? Probably not. It´s just a killing maschine. In my current state, I can´t face it head-on. The SA-X is me, only heartless. I must stop it before it learns its potensial and threatens the universe...

  • I remember a couple years ago I memorized that whole line haha

  • I finally beat this game. It was so awesome. A hell of a challenge, but then it wouldn't be Metroid, now would it?

  • Like this song...brawl verion ins good also

  • In SSBB.

  • this was my first gba game

played it like 3 months every day.

    Best GBA Game !!!

  • i started a week ago playing Fusion & Zero Mission! its just like Super Metroid, simply AWESOME. :)

  • The linearity of Fusion might have been a downside overall to me, but... the game had an awesome atmosphere for a 2d game.

  • Yeah, not many games like this genuinely scare me - this one did. I'd be shaking whenever the mutant samus (I forget the name now) was walking around.

  • SA-X, but I argee, this game gave me the creeps too. Especially the BGM in some areas.

  • Its introduction gave me chills.

*BOOM!* *wall gets blasted out where Samus just was*

*out walks....Samus? In her full power suit?*

    *close up...THAT AINT SAMUS!*

  • haha I cringed in fear at the memory, and lol'd at the same time

  • That part was awesome and scary at the same time.

  • The part that creeped me out the most when after you got the ice missles in sector 5, as you are going back in the main room you see a shadow fly around in the background making a loud scary noise!

  • Yeah, that scared the heck out of me the first time! And the battle against it was a nightmare (pun intended).

  • I remember, this game was brutally difficult. Way harder than Zero Mission.

  • Best 2D Metroid game ever

  • i lost this game 2 years ago cause i got stuck on a part for a long time and didn't play it so i misplaced it or something. wish i still had it. :(

  • Haha yeah this was a hard game.

I loved it though. Extremely fun, and it had a pretty touching story which I wasn't expecting at all.

  • the fusion suit is awsome looking

  • pwnage

  • I was always looking like a zombie at my GBA screen when I heard this song. It gave me the creeps but in a good way. I was always like WAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH! because I found the story line a bit overwhelming. It was my first Metroid after all.

  • I prefer Sector AQA, with the deep underwater theme. Good stuff though!

When is Nintendo going to make a new 2-d metroid :/

  • Yeah, the theme from Sector 4 (AQA) was the best in Metroid Fusion.

  • Sweet song. The SSBB remix owns it, though.

Regardless, this is the original. Good pick.

  • thsi game is awesome i completed it 3 or 4 times and 2 times with 100 % :D

Good follower of the series on the NES/SNES!

  • I still need to beat this!

  • its easy and short.

    but this game kicks so.

    its really intensive!

  • man, I love this music, I absolutely think I should bow down to nintendo for putting it in brawl. thanks for uploading this.

  • I beat it 5 time its so fun!

  • I beat this a long time ago but hearing this brings back exactly what i was doing when i played it :] i love this game

  • this really was an intense song. I wish the rest of the soundtrack was as good, though

  • one of the best song of the game xD

and one of the best games on gba(but not too awesome for a metroid D: )

  • Although this game was extremely fun, they made it almost idiot proof with the computer telling you what to do every time!

  • I loved this game. TOo bad I think I lost my copy

  • One of the best GBA-games ever!

  • I've been trying to find a long version for a long time, so thanks.

  • This fits Frigate Orpheon in Brawl so well :P

  • This is also my favorite song from the game. The minute it started playing in the intro I knew it was awesome.

I also like the theme that plays when you return to the water sector late in the game after killing nightmare.

  • amazing game i also liked the main theme

  • Huge metroid fan here. I quite like the Nightmare fight music from this one, and the main theme or whatever it's called.

  • this game was pretty awesome
