Shoot, This one goes way back. My memory of it is that I got this on cassette back in the middish 80's and it seems like I always had it playing. Every track. Probably have it stowed away somewhere along with so many nyhc demos. Thanks for putting this up.
@wargear257 This is Bad Brain yo! Beastie Boys sample it. But Beastie Boys began there carrier doing one of my favorite hardcore .... with Bad Brains and Minor Treath.
@raanelom This is true. i think that dude in American Hardcore (movie) said it, didn't he? Or maybe it was in the book. I know I've heard it many times also. Just thinkin about how I bought this tape back in 1986 or so. And I got to prove to everyone that the BEASTIE BOYS used to be a hardcorepunk band! B-E-A-S-T-I-E go!!!
@PivotMasterES sir you need to open your mind please because you don't like it does not mean its "gay" which by the way stupid word and completely out of context start listening to the message of the music aswell instead of just the sound
@cheapsex94 well I can't be a fagot for expressing my opinion either but alright I just think hella fast hardcore with lice machin gun drums and incoherent screaming music is not my favorite there ya go.
@PivotMasterES well then buddy please do not call something "gay" just because you don't agree keep you're comments to you're self there not appreciated and i do not mean to offend you simply trying to help if you understand me
I used to hang out where this was recorded ,in the basement of Ratcage Records along with Beastie Boys Pollywog 7"Beasties took the BB from Bad Brains when taking a name. The first time Bad Brains played Boston during the soundcheck it was like Godzilla had entered the building and all the other bands wanted to go home.
great,so much power at time!!!!!1982 usa way ahead of uk defo, when i saw them 83 they blew me away and only heard one trax by them let them eat jelly beans pay to come!!!Rest is history!!!!
You know, people would complain because this is a black punk group. Why the stereotype? I would prefer listening to this than listen to Soulja Boy and Lil Wayne.
@DilbertHernandez I've seen BadBrains, AOD, Kraut, I think Heart Attack... opened for the FUs in '82 ... ah the olden daze. Flipper had/has long songs... are they hard or soft? Neg App were the men as were the early Misfits... short songs... Was GG hardcore? He was pretty hardcore, not always short songs. Youth Corps (CT) probably had the shortest songs I ever witnessed, that was prolly '82. I wonder if any of that is out there?
@DilbertHernandez That's Youth Korps from New London Ct., check them out, they have a myspace with music to listen to. I really liked them. It's great that their music is to be found! Crime is 22 seconds, Need a Fix is 18 seconds. I remember them playing, quick loud memorable set. I think my friend still has the tape. If they have vinyl, well worth it. It was groundbreaking at the time.Altho obvious BF "Damaged" influence w "Malaise". They were straight edging if I remember correctly.Checkit!

Replay Button: OVER 9,000 times your honor!
judge: And what do you have to say Mr. Arrow
Arrow: Dude, I told you already I only clicked on her maybe 10 times.
judge: Mr. Arrow you're going to internet prison for an entire year.
Arrow: fuck, how am I supposed to do my job now?
Me: Where the heII is arrow?
