just so u know the raptor 700 sucks ass on trails my cusin went through a big hole with his o7 honda 250 and didnt get stuck and a 700 tried and got stuck honda is way better than yamaha and the raptor 250 is allot slower than a honda 250

A raptor 250 is perfect for any size rider.

Even for people that are 6'3". My dad is 5'10"

and he still feels very roomy!You can't outgrow it.

Chances are if you are 6'8" or more you will feel

mostly the same on A 450.

As well as any other two wheel drive sport machine. You might want to switch out to different rear tires with larger lugs and keep in mind riding in a lot of mud will wear out any maching faster.

@ATVonDemand Also remember that ITP does make a sport version of the Mudlite tire. I have 22" Mudlites on my kfx700 and they made in do very well in mud crossings I couldn't avoid.

well, just get more experience on a 90 or something and then ride a dirt bike or anything else with a clutch and normal gear settings, and practice on it a lot, then you should be fine, If you can't do that just have someone help you the first time you ride it

250 would be great for you because it is recommended for 16 year olds. I found it out on their website. so yea u definetly should get a 250. they go 55mph-60mph ( 88kph- 96kph )

Being 13 I would recommend you start off on the Raptor. It will require less maintenance, costs half as much as a 450. You can do a lot to the Raptor 250 to pump it up and you can always move up in a few seasons.

I got a raptor 250.. (and i have a vid of it)... i love the weight, stability, and speed / power the only thing i do not like about it is the suspension im 5,7 and 150 and i race mx when i go off of table tops i normally bottom out and smash the frame + heel guards and nerf bars on the ground thus bending some parts so im getting long travle +3 a arms and + 3 axle and some Elka shocks... but if your around 120 lbs or less and bout 5ft - 5,10ft this is the perfect machine for you!!! i suggest it!

dude im 16 and ride a trx 90, a trx 400ex, and the 250 raptor, the raptor hands down is the funnest you realy could go all day easy launch this thing 35 40 feet in the air climb up some of the steepest hills this is a great bike, i was shocked from the power this bike had im sure it has at least 65 maybe more top end yet again ive never had it in last gear thats how wide the torque range is i hardly ever shift and the suspension WOW its a dream butter smooth and so far ive never bottomed it out

Raptor is for if you want to go fast, If you don't want to go fast go with the Honda 250ex the ex not being as fast has more bite (power). The 250ex is probably idk 7mph slower but for one thing the 250ex is auto-clutch meaning you only have to shift with foot.

My choice for just a trail bike would be a 250ex but, the Raptor is always out there for if you and your friends race or something.

For most riders yes. The only thing the Honda has over it is the ability to make more power if you build moth motors to the limit.

However you will never shave 60 pounds off the Honda.

ive got a 250 its a beast so quick eceleration but watch out for frame cracking when going mad on jumps or on enduro races the casing at the swing arm and frame near the bottom part of engine snap but get an extra tube welded in but the mods are so good for it like atv world elka shocks leagers a arms and brake hoses for £990

if i was you i would get a raptor 350 or suzuki 400 a predator is an ok engine but the fenders are not up to par. the suzuki would be the best. plus a suzuki 400 will go faster than a predator 500.

The Raptor 250 is nearly as fast as the 350. It is faster then a stock 300EX!

Your Mojave might be faster, but it is also heavier and costs a lot more to modify. The Raptor has a better handling frame geometry then any of the ATVs we have discussed.
