I made an onboard mixer from a Coridium ARMmite processor. Took awhile, but seems to work pretty good. With an onboard mixer you can use a standard 6 to 9 channel radio.
Wow, Lots of work. Have you seem my V-22 model. I avoid throttle control with great results. I wander if colective pitch props would do you a world of good? good luck
It senses the heat difference between the ground and sky, the ground always being warmer. It keeps the aircraft level. FMA Direct makes it, called the CoPilot.
when you swtiched off the sensor,, was the plane on its own without gyros?

What does the IR sensor sense? The distance to the ground?
