We are not talking about blame. We are talking about filibuster and stonewalling. Until there is a clear veto-proof majority in congress, we will not see the 'peoples' work done in this country. That is why 'pork-barrel' bills get through, greasing both sides of the aisles with cash. Serious issues, such as repealing new credit/bankruptcy laws, reestablishing Habeus Corpus, search and seizure laws, and diminishing the socalled 'unitary executive' go unmet.

Pork barrel will never stop as long as our political campaigns are not completely publicly financed. You can have 100% majority, you still need to grease the pigs at home if you want to get re-elected.
