Each quickening does a random amount of damage from 1-(three times the character's strength) I think, so it's possible to get a chain of 99 quickenings that does less than 100 damage before the concurrance. That's why quickenings aren't an amazing way to take out a boss, but they work well when the boss is on low HP or you have a time limit in which you have to finish the fight (i.e, that friggen demon wall)

@marcoaranas i think its mostly cause of the trophies function ppl would be able too get trophies like crazy and alot of ppl work hard too get them , like myself i got 1235 trophies including 18 platinums and took me alot of time x.x so if they make a AR it would be so simple and they dont want that , i am sure they can make 1 but that would be the main reason if i am correct.

Yiazmat's HP bar it's about 800.000hp (double than Hellwyrm) and below that bar, there are 50 red points, with another 800.000hp, so the total it's about 46.000.000hp, still beat him one time, but it toke me more than 3 hours T-T

@HeadShootingMaster get darkness based weapons, most noteably the Yagyu Darkblade, as well as Masamune, I believe (haven't really checked in awhile) it isn't dark but it has a great chance to chaining attacks, than from there set up one person with decoy and run around in a giant circle for an hour while the other 2 are going beserk on his ass, litterally. :P also set them up so they don't get totally owned by his AoE crap, and you won't even get to the instant death spamming ability. lol

@HeadShootingMaster oh yeah, and make sure your two in beserk are low on life, easiest way to do that is like break I believe, or w/e that one is... sheer? no... gah, the one that reduces life to 1 but does a lot of damage, than beserk them, and it increases chance to chain, I had vaan and basch chaining attacks with masamune and yagyu darkblade they each got like 10 hit chains because of beserk at low life and he dropped in about... 40 minutes of running around with decoy on XD lol as Penelo :)

The actual amount of time it takes to do a 99 chain quickening is so extremely long that you'd do about 40-50x more dmg not bothering with one.

I agree with that. Like San Andreas, I have two savegames: one cheatless and another one to mess things up. Cheats can be fun, if you don't use it against anyone else or to think that you're good (with cheating).

1. battle fiends

2. use lp to unlock quickenings

3. with a character that has an unlocked quickening, full their mp to the max

4. select quickening and it will ready.

5. it will happen but you can press other buttons to chain quickenings on to each other.

6.the more you get the greater the concurrence is at the end.

note ; when a character gets a quickening they will have a mp bar, but when they unlock a lvl 2 or 3 quickening (licence board) their mp will increase drastically.

I have a question about quickening chains. If one were to cheat and get a chain of 99, would any quickenings after the 99th one add to the damage? Like, the chain stays at 99 since thats the max, but if you actually did 115, would the extra 16 add to the damage of the 99 chain or would anything after the 99th be pointless?

seriously, quickening was a joke in FF12, you'd do higher dmg over time with just normal hits/spells than unleash a chain of quickenings that takes horribly long to execute.

If you time it right it;s psosible to switch party members out and get several 11-17 chains in a row reasonably easy... Because I dobt I;m amazing at quickenings so that must be the average. I think after a certain number of hits the damage stops accumulating. I dunno, I think my max combo was ~30 out of pure luck and it dealt about the same amount of damage that your black hole did. Maybe the damage is only calculated via what type of ending attack is used. Though, spamming Zodiark's special on him is probably the best way to kill Tiamat with this cheat on.

I got a 18 chain once...I did 540798 damage!!!!! It was against a giza rabbit when I was trying to get the quickening chain award. Beat that!
