  • Steven Hawking stood on the shoulders of Issac Newton, Buckethead did the same of Hendrix. It's not a matter of who is better than the other. That said, I don't listen to Hendrix.

  • lol 420

  • 1st hendrix is not overrated

2nd BH is great but not better, simply another style

3rd stop arguing you look like 13 years old

4th MUSIC IS ART NOT A CHAMPIONSHIP,NO ONE IS BETTER!!!!!

  • @Caballo81Loco actually if you listened to A LOT of bucketheads music, you will know that he has a HUGE range of different music.

  • @Caballo81Loco

i would like to take a moment to respectfully refute your point by out rightly stating that you're a fagit lol

  • @GrizCC I would hate to take a moment to disrespectfully refute your point by rightly stating that you spelled faggot wrong.

  • @itsraininglool

    UR RUDE

  • @GrizCC ur nice.

  • Lol, I bet Buckethead and Hendrix both would laugh at you guys for arguing over them... if they weren't so busy making music, Bucket here and Hendrix in heaven :)

  • Buckethead is playing 'ghosts upstairs' here, Great song

  • u people are friggin crazy! r u actually saying this guy is better than hendrix?! there is no reasoning with idiots...this guy isnt bad, but even i can play the guitar better. none of u know wut real talent is, i bet your all just a bunch of losers, not even that, below that. even some losers know wut shit is.

  • @cryptic6chaos Hendrix is so vastly overrated its terrible...

  • @cryptic6chaos Lmfao. Please...just... stop embarrassing yourself. You have no idea what your talking about little girl.

  • no 1 has mentioned this but this whole album is improv

  • I'm very sorry to the one dislike person...it would have been so insane to have your mind blown away by such a thing....

    <3 you.

until we meet again my friend...=]

  • @cryptic6chaos well sir there are lots of things you can suck as you say "buckethead sucks" well he can suck a popsicle or a watermelon flavoured lolipop but you sir you suck cock the complete oppisite of buckethead so buckethead does suck he sucks lollipops and other sugary goods because they are yummy to the tummy.that is all good day.

    -DOKTOR MANNY-

  • @cryptic6chaos Dude you have so wrong taste of music...

  • buckethead > hendrix. NOW STFU AND LISTEN TO THIS AWESOME MUSIC!!

  • Atm I really hate my Internet, because it keeps interrupting Buckethead with this whole "buffering" business.

  • i´m glad that buckethead is underrated, i don´t want people without musical taste say they like it just because he´s famous.

  • @rod3067 exactly

  • @rod3067 hes underrated because hes terrible-_-

  • @cryptic6chaos aving so terrible likes :)

  • @rod3067 sorry, i errased part of the message, i said i am glad having so terrible likes :)

  • Why do I picture him making chickens dance, when he plays this song?

  • SOAB!!!! Why must everyone compare different guitarists? Like what you like and let others like what they like. Just listen to the music man and quit comparing.

  • Random shards at that. BH relaxes my brain like some kind of thearopy.

  • This or Johnny are the best songs on the album. Ghost Upstairs is a lot like this at the beginning then kinda drifts into bucket kinda drifted Bucketheadland.

  • Bucket is better than Hendrix but theres one thing Bucket will never be able to do that Hendrix could, is play with his teeth. Bucket has a mask on. D:

  • Why is no one talking about the beginning of this song?! How the fuck is he doing that with just one guitar?!

  • @CleanseTheSoul Ah I can see it. Its not impossible picking. But are you really surprised bucket can do it?

  • @WereRabbbit No, not at all....I just wanna know wtf he's doing. He always comes up with the craziest ideas.

  • @CleanseTheSoul Yeah thats why I love watching him live. Get to really see him play and not to mention every time he plays the song it gets 100 times better because he changes it and improvises.

  • is this song a speed up version of one of his other songs? i swear iv gerd it before slowed down?

  • I think it's funny that people are comparing jimmy to Buckethead.I mean jim has got nothing on buckethead in therms of technical skills and versatitlity. Buckethead is way more original and just all round better guitar player no doubt about it.

  • well thats a bit to hard against jimi now, both are great, but jimi played more like jazz and blues or such crap i don't like, but he was still awesome(i still think buckethead is way better^^")

  • Well yeah , Check out buckethead's album 'population override' wich is mainly blues. And it just sounds more original like i always thought all bluesbands nowadays sounded alike until i heard that

  • wow, i didn't know about that album, i'll listen to it right away, thaks dude^^

  • as a huge fan of both hendrix and the bucket, buckethead is a better guitarist and artist. hendrix is great, but everything hendrix did well, buckethead has improved upon. both are/were masters of innovation, but bh has explored more boundaries than hendrix was able to.

  • technically, but as far as aesthetics and creativity buckethead isn't even close to hendrix. he has never written anything as good as voodoo child or little wing, and hendrix's guitar solos keep your attention melodically like on all along the watchtower while buckethead just kind of amazes you you cheaply in a way.

  • @iamamannow so you are telling me Soothsayer, King James, Fairy and the Devil, and All In the Waiting, just to name a few, aren't very creative? Im not taking any sides in the hendrix vs. bucket dilema, but to say buckethead has written "cheap" material isnt fair.

  • @nepatsfan61590 You can't compare them. Hendrix was basically a blues guitarist, but he took blues to it's most extreme form. Buckethead, at least on most of his albums, plays more of a metal style. They're both great. If you ask me, Buckethead is the greatest metal guitarist while Hendrix is the best blues guitarist.

  • @Merioc2k3 Hendrix was more than just a blues guitarist my friend, he had a lot of psychedelia in his playing as well. And i get your point but i still think there is room for comparison.

  • @nepatsfan61590 I know, I didn't say that he's "just a blues guitarist". I said that he took blues to it's most extreme form, which he deserves respect for. There's barely room for any comparison, since Buckethead taps a lot, and sweeps and uses other techniques that were not popular while Hendrix was alive.

  • I will be honest, I personally never loved Buckethead'S style, but I highly respect his art/stye. There is something really deep in what he's doing!

    And acoustically, he is awesome!

  • GUYS!!!. What people aren't paying attention to is the fact that Hendrix was an inspiration for Buckethead. This means he may have picked up a few ideas about playing through Hendrix, but that doesn't make Buckethead's skill any less real. Guitarists today have a lot to live up to, unlike old guitarists who were having fun and being creative. These days, you can't be creative without anyone getting on your ass about it.

    Peace,

    (WoLF)

  • Hendrix and Buckethead are both from completely different generations. Today's musicians have to meet a bigger need for music. If Jimmy Hendrix had been born in our generation, he would have probably played together with the Bucket. The problem is; without a Hendrix in the 60's, rock would be completely different. So the obvious answer would be, Buckethead IS technically better than Hendrix, but only because he is ahead by time.

  • I hate it when people don't realize this. Thank you for understanding and not being arrogant like others. I hate it when people don't understand. Even though I don't know you, I read this comment and really appreciated it. I couldn't have presented the point any better than the way you just did.

  • i believe this song is about cheese

  • Is that some Pink Wagon at 0:43?

  • Hendrix didn't think he was the best guitarist. He just did what he did best. Buckethead is just doing the same thing; what he does best, which is really a lot of stuff. I would have to respectfully not compare these two great guitarists.

  • buckethead is better than hendrix. i wasn't aware this was up for dicussion :)

  • Who said he spend over 30 years studying and copying Hendrix?

If Hendrix had lived, he would be getting tips from Buckethead.

  • Yeah,I'm so glad Hendrix died on my birthdate. If it was my birthday, that would be better. :P but no doubt Hendrix is good too.

  • buckethead is a pioneer and if you think BH copies hendrix your wrong he is his own person his own pioneer

  • Buckethead is most definitely an innovator, just not on Hendrix's level, but that's unfair,Hendrix got an extra 20 years headstart, being born first doesn't make you a better player,Buckethead has had about 20 years worth of output,Hendrix had 3,Buckethead has eclipsed Hendrix in that field.I personally prefer Buckethead, but it's a stupid question,apples/oranges.

    Buckethead could play acoustic though,and therefore,wins. (See the logic?Good,because I don't)

  • Hendrix is so overrated its unbelievable. Sure, he was influential but not nearly "The Greatest". I honestly don't believe he did anything special.

  • @beefychew 100% correct sir i dont know why people even try to argue. Buckethead is the best guitarist EVER! better than Slash, Angus Young, and Jimi Hendrix. He is soooooo much more creative. Bucket is the closest thing to god that exist.

  • @beefychew Jimi Hendrix is out of bucketheads league, there's something missing from Buckethead, its too technical. Jimi just lets it all out, doesnt hold back, it's untamed, thats what makes Jimi the best.

  • @McFro95 you obviously haven't heard half of BH's stuff then...

  • @AngusRocker22 ive heard hundreds of tracks

  • @beefychew Don't compare them, please. It's like saying that apples are better than bananas. Too different to compare, really.

  • @Merioc2k3 i can compare apples and bananas, you bitch, they both taste like shit. dumbass.

  • @stinkyshoe12 Very intelligent. But still, no.

  • yo were can i get this cd ??? sunrise? hmv? i need 2 no

  • Just got this cd, master piece all the way through, love it how hes just sitting in a living room with an acoustic guitar and no overdubbing and effect device's. Pure Buckethead.

  • buckethead your the best guitarist since jimmi but you cant draw worth a shit lmao keep the minted playing up

  • i hope youre jokeing because his artwork is so totally badass...

  • wot the fuck u on just look at the pic 2 this

  • which jimmi ?hendrix or page

still both arent as good as big b

    LONG LIVE BIG B

  • I hope Hendrix because isn't it usually Jimmi Hendrix/ Jimmy Page

One uses i one uses y.

Page is far superior to Hendrix in every way.

  • i agree hendrix is overated

  • music wouldnt be what it is today without hendrix, he broke all the rules

  • For his time, not at all, you guys can't compare Hendrix to Buckethead. Buckethead's music wouldn't exist today without Hendrix. Hedrix died 20 years before Buckethead started.

  • if you se a cd called "in search of the "keep it it is 1 out of 15

  • AH HA AHHHHH bitches

  • where can one aquire this album???

  • would anyone be able to tell me what year this album was released?

  • 2008

  • man i dont know how to play by ear but i wanna learn to play the shit out of this song. tabs anyone?

  • Dude, tabs for this would have to have so many notes and annotations; I think you should leave it to the master.

  • i think i could play it if i had the notes in front of me

  • ive learned a few of his acoustic songs, and when you learn them, you just dont wanna stop playing them. learn some of the easier ones first, then go for harder ones. you'll notice that the same weird chords come up in a few of his songs.

  • i can play who me by him already and some other ones i cant remember

  • yeah, who me is a real good song. try "the last train to bucketheadland" or "wishing well"

  • man totally disproves all those people's theories that buckethead has no soul

some of his stuff doesn't have a whole lot, but so much of it, probably 95% is just amazing..

  • Where does he get all these ideas????? I mean really......Buckethead is GODLY!!!!! Probably one the BEST guitarist and musicians out there.

  • i know they say he violated user agreement terms but if im not mistaken in the video info he said he had permission by the producer of that album to put up a song or 2 so people could get a taste for buckethead before they buy the album

  • man thats messed up! not even the buckethead myspace has some of that stuff.
