And also "a decent, high quality writing utenstil is imperitive" and I can't help but notice this is a tutorial on drawing and not writing, why would you not use a DRAWING utensil like a pencil? How is it imperitive? People can draw squares with sticks in sand.

Dude, you did a freehand cube!? I'm speechless. I wouldn't even know where to start. That's like drawing 6 squares that aren't square at all. I've seen pictures in books but they were obviously printed using a supercomputer to get the right perspective of 3D on a 2D piece of paper.  Amazing!

True...However, they seem to make a point at teaching a lot of the history surrounding freehand circle drawing going back in to the late 1300's. It's all rather fascinating. You are right from a practical standpoint it is all hardcore practice.

the dreaded triangle. i remember working on my masters in 97, i had to really push the envelope to get those down, now there are methods to draw tons of them at once. My #1 tip would be to not forget that a saucilito triangle is just as powerfull and awe inspiring as an equitorial triangle, but dont forget, noone likes a saline triangle. Their too salty and somethiing just aint right with them. I'm currently doing a thesis on the "Dot" for my second doctorate. If you need any more tips ask away!
