  • THAT, MY DEAR, IS A DAMN SHAME!

  • he reminds me of my Ken Doll... before my dog chewed the arms off....

  • You look like Scott Disick

  • your teeth are gorgeous!

  • This is super off topic, but you remind me of vintage Superman. lol

  • idk why but i love when guys do makeup reviews, its different and their way more informative

  • You sound very intelligent and informative in your videos. Great work! :)

  • Wait..."Luxor" is pink...aren't those for cool undertones? I'm a warm, so would copacabana look good as well...btw that really is me on my channel.

  • What do you think of the NARS Illuminators?

The ones in the squeeze tubes.

I want to know if they are like a gel or more of a cream.

I'd also like to know if they are overly shimmery.

  • @LixiPixi1 they're more like a cream and really potent, so a drop is enough to highlight your skin. it's also great for a base for eye make up c:

  • LOL at the thought of highlighting babies!!!!

  • Amazing review!!! Thank you!

  • Great review...of course I still can't decide between copacabana and luxor :) I already have the NARS albatross and was looking to try a cream/liquid highlighter... What are your thoughts on the new illuminizer versus the multiple version?

  • I just asked a question on your other Nars Multiple review about Luxor, but this has totally made my mind up, definitely going to be purchasing it! Thanks!

  • beautiful background

  • thanks so much for this review! this really helped me with my decision i now know which highlighter is right for me :))

  • EXCELLENT review- i have made my decision! SUBSCRIBINGGGGGG!!! THANKSSSS

  • Great Review! Thanks for the comparisons! =)

  • hey there! I'm looking for a perfect highlighter for my NC44 oily/acne prone skin. I'd like a golden sheen without extra-noticable shimmer and glitter. Thanks!

  • sweet jesus, ur teeth are soooo white

  • Hi please help me! I am asian so i have yellow skin but my cheeks are always red so do i have warm toned skin or cool toned?? Thanks! and ur videos are very interesting and helpful!

  • you're a really good speaker, very descriptive, this is an awsome review , subscribed :]

  • what hightlighter are you wearing in this video? you look very natural...

  • good job again <33

  • Thank you so much your advice, I didn't really know anything about highlighters...this was the perfect video for me!

  • i noticed that copacobana has glitters in it.. so when i use it as a highlighter, it looks like i put glitter on my face.. does albatross or luxor do that? or do they just look like you hav a sheen?

  • @labonneruerouge Thanks. What a productive use of time!

  • @TheSublimeAgent ahahaha, i thought I deleted that comment.

  • jus subbed after this amazing vid!!! why havent i found u b4 now!! :) quick question... im Mac NW20-25 and NARS Mont Blanc... pretty pale :( but also mostly use fake tan so which do u reccommend??? thanx!!

  • Albatross has been my go to highlighter for so long. I recently picked up Diorskin Shimmer Powder in Amber Diamond, and I definitely recommend for you to try this. Just gives an even, subtle but apparent glow to your face and you can build it up for a higher impact. Really finely milled, it's just the perfect highlighter for me. Definitely a must try! :)

  • Fantastic video! I am adding Albatross to my list. Thanks!

  • i think i will definitely buy the luxor. i am a highlighter lover and always wear it when i do makeup.

  • I agree! Highlighter does draw more attention from others. I was at Sephora the other day, and dabbed on a little of Albatross. I stepped outside, and started getting more stares immediately! I was like, do I have a massive pimple on my face or something?! Checked the next reflective surface I could find, and noticed a really nice glow.

I still can't believe highlighter makes such a difference to others though. When I look in the mirror, it doesn't look THAT transforming LOL. Love your vids!

  • I love love love that your wearing make up...and kind of...a lot! but in a way that women should always in that it enhances your features...it doesn't LOOK like you're wearing make up...awesome. (jsyk I know you always wear some...just this vid looks like a lot more then usual, but still looks great!)

  • @lrramsay Hehehe...honestly, I didnt have any makeup on in my first 35 videos. haha. I just have it on in the recent ones to show off the nars stuff. But thanks for the complement...I strive to avoid the made-up look. The laguna bronzer also evens out skin so well that it could replace the need for foundation. -michael!

  • I really love albaross. But your really peaking my interest in Luxor.

  • @Ladymorganlafey Luxor is much more understated, which is why it is overlooked. Go to Sephora and give it a shot. If you hate it, return it and don't look back...I honestly think you will love it! It adds that extra little special something...but without being loud and ridiculous :P -Michael

  • (i posted the link on your actual page because it wouldnt let me eave it in the comments)

  • @afitofhonesty thanks for the link, I hadn't seen a chart that was that thorough before. Ya, I totally slipped up with my words...but I hope everyone got the gist. Thanks afitofhonestly for being honest and amazing! -Michael

  • @TheSublimeAgent it's okay! i just watch your videos all of the time & value your opinion so based on your review i was thinking about getting luxor, but i have yellow undertones so i didnt know if it would work for me or not. but this will help you get a better understanding of undertones:

  • Can you please do a video on your absolute top 5(or whatever) highlighters? It's so hard to find natural looking highlighters, I find albatross to be a little too shimmery for day to day wear.

  • @186tele Awesome...you are totally right! I can probably do a top three...because a good highlighter IS hard to come by. I would definitely say that I think Luxor is one of them...and I would say that the Cle de Peau is the second one. -Michael (thanks so much for commenting!)

  • you look great in this vid btw...loving that cheek color, though i can't pin point which nars blush it is..on a randomn note can you mention what your shaving routine is, i looked through your vids but couldnt find it, im tyring to figure out how your get that smooth finish...thanx sweetness

  • @rhyanova Cool, yes, I have actually been planning a shaving related video. I do work very hard at totally minimizing the look of any facial hair. I think it all has to do with the type of shaving technique and the exfoliation routine.

  • helpful video and ur flawless<33

  • @TheY0udontknowme Aww, thanks! I try to be as helpful as possible so everyone is informed properly! Thanks so much for your kind words! -Michael

  • Thank you for being so informative. I do not wear make up, but you seem to know your products.

  • I'm lusting over Luxor and Albatross, I think maybe the former for me-think it looks more natural...argh and I was on a NARS ban...Michael!! :p

  • @SparklemissA Hehehe, a pirate call from the high seas! Yes, I also wish I had been on a NARS ban last month...but fortunately the temptation is all gone from my veins...but that's because I got nearly everything :/ bittersweet. The brushes are great, but a little overpriced.

  • I'm wondering what you think of Nico...is it actually a blush or highlighter?

  • @daisytrish Honestly, it's really neither. Although it technically is a blush, it is kinda just a flesh colored shimmery powder. Someone could use it to set their makeup and it would give a subtle glow. But if you tried to use it as a highlighter, no one could tell you had anything on...my opinion. -Michael :D

  • Hello! spanish new subscriber here! I do have albatross and copacabana. I love both but albatross is my go to highlighter. Sometimes I apply copacabana and albatross on top, of course at night, maybe that combination is too much for day time. I have to try luxor. Great channel. Congratulations! :-)

  • I just woke up and blew up the video size and your intro made my eyes get so big i forgot that you made a new one. omg lol haha i love it! doesn't nars just make your day? fabulous...

    ~sP

  • i love your videos! you are soooo adorable! <3

  • i just bought high beam by benefit. i was loving it until i saw that swatch of luxor. im gonna have to give that a try. i just put a little in the corners of my eyes.

  • the description of luxor confused me. olive/yellow undertone is a warm undertone. pink/beige undertones are cool undertones. i think you mixed those 2 up, so now i'm confused as to which product is better for which skintone. i'm assuming you meant luxor is better for cool undertones & albatross is better for warm undertones?

  • @afitofhonesty according to MAC description... it is opposite..so i guess he is following that..

  • @rosewitch2000 mac switches the names because they refer to them with the color that would neutralize them. even though mac switches the name, if i was to go into a mac store & ask one of the MUAs what my undertone is she'd tell me i had more yellow undertones therefore i am warm undertoned, but she would colormatch me to a NC.

  • @rosewitch2000 but either way, in the video he stated that if you had yellow undertones you were warm undertoned, & a few seconds later said if you had pink undertones you were warm undertoned, so i'm just confused as to which product he discussed suited which undertone.

  • @afitofhonesty Im sorry, I may have made a mistake :P I understand the pink undertones to be the warmer undertones...yellow/olive = cooler undertones. Luxor would be more appropriate for someone who is around an NW15-35.

    Michael

  • Yeeeee haaaa! I'm ma get Luxor and Deep thoat today. Great vd M. , luv ya attitude. Do some vd how to apply Luxor please :)

  • They're subtle additions to your face that anyone can pull off... Guys, girls, grandparents, children, ANIMALS, BABIES. <3 ily.

  • i love both the albatross and the copacabana.... what the heck i love nars in general lol

  • Thanks your your videos M, love your attitude!! Xxx

  • I never even considered Luxor, but I think I'll check it out next time I'm shopping. The lady at the NARS counter recommended Albatross or Copacabana when I told her I was looking for a highlighter but not Luxor :( I did get Albatross though, probably one of the better powder highlighters. The shimmer is very very subtle and doesn't fall all over the place.

  • Ok now I want Luxor.

  • you have gorgeous teeth! i really appreciate your thorough explanations..great job on the vid!

if you happen to have Nars blushes in Gina/Gilda or MAC Peaches/Cantaloupe or Illamasqua Lover..then I would love if you could do a review video for any of them! I'm trying to find a nice Peachy blush.

  • do you think nars gold member is nice on ur cheeks just alone? or is it too gold?

  • @smilley4848 I think goldmember can be worn by itself. It is just a natural film of gold that blends in well with the rest of the skin. So, if you are ok with a goldish color at all, it is perfect! -Thanks- Michael

  • ahhh I've been wanting to try albatross!

  • @ginabinawina99 Go for it! It will last you for a long long time, so why not? -Michael

  • you have the BEST reviews. you are so detailed. thanks for taking the time to give us your honest opinions on the products you have tried. i look forward to your videos.

  • Can you do a more in-depth review on Gold Member, please?

  • @epikeyeonjoo Sure, do you have any specific question? Its a cream blush, it is a very discreet layer of very very fine gold color. -Michael

  • @TheSublimeAgent @epikeyeonjoo- Agreed! I've been contemplating buying Gold Member for awhile, I finally bought it, but have had a hard time finding reviews and tutorials featuring this product. I'm also not completely convinced if it's worth keeping since Albatross also comes up as a gold on the skin. Help!

  • @amfmstyle Albatross and Goldmember are very different in my opinion. I would say that you can be more discreet with goldmember, but you can build up the gold color to a beautiful, true gold. There is not really a shimmer effect with goldmember, it's more like a chrome like gold shine. Still, they are similar in many ways. It's a matter of preference (cream vs. powder)...also the albatross is for brightening the skin, not just adding a gold radiance. I hope this helped -Michael :D

  • @TheSublimeAgent Well, I've been on the hunt for a gold blush for a while now. I really want a TRUE gold colored blush. Everything else is either too light/silvery, too dark/brown/bronzey. I'm light yellow skin toned and I just thought that a gold blush would help to give my skin a very natural, yet noticeable glow. Would this suit what I'm looking for? Does it look great by itself (without another blush on top of it)? What kind of a finish does it give? Is it glittery, shimmery, glowy, etc.
