  • i think a good strategy with the germans on turn one would be to build transports and inf and hopefully amphib assaualt caucasus next turn because it should fall then

  • I have only played the orig Axis and Allies that game looks different

  • @CaptainMax2008 No, it didn't come with the bills you use to buy stuff. I don't get what you're saying...

  • The thing is that the German bomber doesnt have to land in Norway. It can make it all the way back to Berlin

  • Well done. good vide and you speak clearly. I too have been playing for a long time. My friend and I have re-created the map onto a large board and built a "War Room". We also made little flags for the board. It so much more fun playing on a real huge map. you can check out my pics on facebook if you like. Also we have played USA and Germany against Japan, UK and Russia. It's quite interesting. Enjoy your games.

  • @flyingfart1 What is your facebook page?

  • Lol I played uk but the German player didnt attack my battleship, now I have a naval presence in the north sea.....yeah...we also used national advantages

  • my game didn't come with the money!

  • @blackopszombie1 Isn't that crap? Avalon Hill clearly ain't what they used to be!

  • This guy knows his stuff; Russia attacking Norway is a must, or else forget about British naval presence in the North Sea for the rest of the game. Solid strategy; good video, good game, thanks mtodd.

  • Russia's ENTIRE strategy is to just roll a 1. ;D

  • how can i get japan off my back as the U.S

  • @mistapunchface

Russia is the best for taking on Japan in the land war. The only thing the Allies really have to do is just to prevent Japan from making headway in the Asia continent. Otherwise, they're just gonna stagnate. The US should really focus on Germany first and just mess with Japan and keep it guessing. Japan can't handle its own once Germany goes down. Keep an eye on the Japanese Fleet though, and be sure to keep SOME kind of presence in the Pacific. I hope this helps. :D

  • guys where the best way to put the additional British IC? india is too dangerous cuz of the japanese

  • @lymn2002

I never choose to buy IC's with Britain, since transports are cheaper and offer greater flexibility. But, it's your call. I would say the bottom of Africa (South Africa). Yeah, it's only worth 2 IPC's, but just funnel in tanks from there to get Germany out of Africa.

  • Thanks! This helps with learning the rules too because the book is poorly written.

  • LOl some of you guys have no idea what you are talking about. Mtodd knows what he is talking about. The most important move in this game is the oppening move with each country. Try this advice and see how it works out for you.

  • thanks this helped a lot. I had lots of trouble keeping russia out of germany's hands but after watching this i have improved.

  • I use your Russian and brittish strategy every game

  • @ultras05istanbul I think your thinking of the Global version this is the 1942 board

  • Yes it is funny how people say I'm doing this or that wrong, and they have no idea what they're talking about. A lot of weird people in the world. Anyways, this is a video of a few 'opening' moves, not the rules and/or how to play. People need to just play the game a few times, the right way, and then watch my videos, it may help and/or give you some different ideas.

  • @mtodd5588 yo whats up i never played but i love risk is this similar and whats the difference between this and 1940?

  • Haha i love how all of these people are commenting and getting on your case because you don't use the "right" rules or aka house rules. People these days! Jeez!

  • You can not start a attack with Soviets against Axis before you begin the 4th round! Till Round 4, Germany will upgrade Eastern Poland with a lot of tanks and infantries..

  • @ultras05istanbul boy, you people are clueless... if you would just watch the video you all would understand a lot more. first off, this is a video for the 1942 edition! the rule your talking about is in Axis and Allies Europe 1940.

  • id suggest in round one in hawaii, move ur carrier to los angeles to avoid risk of its destruction,.

  • @baileybushey Japan goes before USA, and if Japan attacks sea zone 52, then you have no carrier. and 90% of the games i've played, Japan atacks sz52...

  • @mtodd5588 yea but, when my brother and i play, we like to pick which countries go first

  • @baileybushey Why would you even bother saying that it's a house rule you dope

  • @Imjetta7 im not! i dont want any troulbel! we just like playing it that way including capturing 2 capitals!

  • @Imjetta7 fuck off you dope

  • @baileybushey Haha if you don't want trouble why did you say that? Real mature comment you could grow up just a little

  • @Imjetta7 trouble well u started it dickward

  • @baileybushey Come on man take a chill pill my comment was meant to be joking! Your being so mature with you insults bravo

  • @Imjetta7 k

  • @mtodd5588 so your comment was sopposed to be a joke? sorry. i thought u said something insulting

  • To rjmoney9

I don't remember there is such rule on "glide", he is showing I believe 1942 rule. If you can find the rule, please reply and indicate which page on which rulebook. Thanks.

  • You are playing wrong. The bomber can attack the british fleet AND land, because on his 6th move he can GLIDE into france. Its a rule, remember it

  • @rjmoney9 there is no glide rule. the bomber can move 6 moves period.

  • @rjmoney9 what are you talking about? i'm not playing wrong. the bomber can only move a total of 6. there is no "glide rule". and why were you so rude? "its a rule, remember it", maybe you should read the rules before you say something? like i said in the video, i've played this edition a lot, over 150 games now. i know the rules.

  • @rjmoney9 Haha dude there is no glide rule! You have no idea how to play i guess, it's fine if that's a house rule but don't expect everyone to have the same house rules as you

  • I usually buy all tanks with Russia at the begging and go on heavy offense taking Norway and Ukraine and sometime eastern Europe depending on my mood. This game I think is a bit more fun if you are just always on super offensive, even though its way risky :-)

  • great explanation. Thanks for putting this up. you play on gametable?

  • @badass447 yes i do, my name is SaintMichael55 on the site. my record is 100-49 as of today.

  • How many people are you playing with?

  • One quick question. Where did you put Russia's inflantry, couldn't tell from this video or part 2. Thanks

  • I didn't know you could move and then battle

  • @magsstaff Normally you can't, but I guess he did it to give a better tactical explination. Battles take some time to resolve, while it has nothing to do with tactics.

  • Nice
