  • ughh... i dont know why im so attracted to him..he kinda makes me think hes stuck in the 80's by the way he dresses in the other vids but i love it so much! he has to be gay or something....

  • WOW!!!! Hahahahaha!!! I LOOOOVE this!!!!! I'm trying to learn ASL. You make it look so cool!!!!!! MORE PLEASE!!!

  • cool, I cant believe Lady gaga actually did a music video without makeup And did sign language! (insult to her/him because she/he is actually a guy :D)

  • @SimpleMCPlayer wow, if you have to explain your idiotic insults...you are a fucking idiot.

  • I LOVE THIS!!! ive seen a few versions of this.. but man..this was awesomee!!!

  • Great video. Funny! Entertaining! Loved it! :)

  • wow i thought this was a 2010/ sound they just made the video

  • This vid is amazing! Best asl "singing" ever!

  • 11 ppl didnt like his accent lol..jk hes great

  • Wow! very rarely do I see a song in ASL fully word by word :) great job!

  • @ladysolitary85 You don't usually see them fully word by word because it isn't proper ASL in that form, it is signed English (ESL), Not ASL. This is still a nice video, though! :)

  • i LOVE your hat =)). Amazing job by the way, my mom and i both know a bit of ASL, its a great thing to learn in my opinion. keep it up =D

  • WOW. This is awesome, and so much in alignment with what I'd love to do -- combine ASL with dance/motion art. Really like what you're doing here.

Also, a man in a suit? Hothothot. Just sayin'.

  • OMG THIS WAS SOOO AMAZING!!!!!!! I absolutly love this!!!!!

  • eccentric, yet very well interpretted. I'm impressed. =)

  • I like the use of costumes in one of these videos.

  • I love your video

  • Amazing!!!! Excelente performance, thank 4 sharing!!!!

  • CHECK OUT FEJIZATION

  • 2:04 HARDCORE pelvic thrust. hellz yea :p

  • Dude, You really worked hard on this and even incorporated some hints of the original dance in there. I don't care what these easily offended haters say... or sign. You did an excellent and creative job and next weekend I will definately be showin my friends this

  • HAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH OMG. I CANT.

    I CANT. HAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • HA I love this sooooo much. I wanna dance with this guy.

  • Wow... heh... hehe..... hehehehehhe.... funneh man pelvic thrusting while doing sign language... hehehehehehhe...

  • Quite entertaining, great job!

  • May I just say to the haters, it's alright to have your opinion, we all do. However this is just the way this man who had the courage to do something like this feels and how he thinks this song is meant to mean.

While yes I understand this is more PSE/SEE asl I get why he's doing it. Some people like me know some words in ASL but we do have that drive to learn more. Some are not as fortunate to grow up in an ASL house or have the money for classes. Youtube is the next best thing.

    Good job.

  • Your SOO Cute [=

  • That's not American Sign Language yet again. =/ It's English on the hands. Do you want me to teach you the grammar?

  • @TheEarthweaver excuse me that is a big offense to many of us deaf or mute people okay its called asl not english on the hands do you want me to teach you the grammar?

  • You're so fucking cute!

  • You did an excellent job!

  • what the hell that lol he right what a PIMP! hahah crazy

  • hahaha what a PIMP! love it!

  • I thought it was a very nice video. Good job.

  • this is so cool!

  • but where is the ASL? all i see is SEE. no mouth morphemes, weak facial exp., and weak ASL concepts. signs were relatively clear i'll give him that.

  • @signsofhope01 Maybe you should do a remake!

  • but where is the ASL? all i see is SEE. no mouth morphemes, weak facial exp., and weak ASL concepts. signs were relatively clear i'll give him that.

  • haha that was awesome. It was strange in parts but it's a Gaga song so I feel like that's just keeping it true to the song lol. I think some of the signs were wrong but meh I'm not that great at signing so I could be wrong :). Enjoyed it a lot!

  • I rather enjoyed this... the dancing was distracting but i was happy to see the way someone else would sign this song! Having only take two classes in ASL (my university only has two) I learned a lot and love it and definitely plan on going back for an interpreter's certification post graduation. Continue learning, continue growing an i will do the same. ^_^ I had fun!

  • 50Hearts, I agree with you. Everyone signs differently. It's a cultural response to accept and respect the views and differences, including when signing a song or interpreting. I am currently becoming an interpreter for the Deaf and one important tool, I watch others sign the video before I sign because the differences in the signing helps me understand better ways to improve myself. Remember, we are ALWAYS learning and never stop growing. ASL will always continue to change and develop!

  • You're good but be careful how you sign ugly. It's under your nose, not your forehead [: just so you aren't always corrected

  • Your good! :)

  • i only have one suggestion for you, white skin+white outfit+white background makes it very hard to see your hands.

  • very good job(: your signing was very clear, and your facial expression went perfectly with it(:

    keep up the good work(:

  • i want your hat!! :D

  • How can you say this song was in ASL when you said there is a mixture of SEE and ASL many many people in the Deaf Community or involved with the Deaf SEE is not ASL...and ASL is not artistic ASL is a language. English is a language. But, we can make ASL artistic, but we have to first realize that it's a language...what you did with this song was something...one it was hard to watch b/c there was no ASL going on and you moved around way too much

  • I wish there had been a little more emphasis on ASL but I really like that you got into the video and dressed up, danced, used multiple locations, and polished the video. It's fun to watch. Thank you for sharing it ^_^

  • Wonderful!!! I loved it Great job!!! :)

  • @coolbeans1216 I feel any language is an art. Even they aren't, I feel being called an 'art' is only a compliment. Besides, when singing a song, you don't just stand up and say the lyrics, 'cause that would be boring. You get up, dance (for those that dance) and SING. If he just stood there signing the words with no other action, no emotion, and no personality, this video would be dull and not really worth watching (no offense to those that might do this, but this is how I feel).

  • is he signing "vertical stick" instead of "Vertigo shtick?"

  • soooo cool! Great job, thanks for sharing!

  • can you send me the lyrics and the gloss to your songs? :)

  • I Love The Deaf Culture and Yes Im In ASL! I Think We Can Learn Alot From The Deaf Culture And Just Because Someone Likes Both Nobody Should dis On Them Because Thats Just Wrong!!! SO KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND KEEP THIS AMAZING LANGUAGE ALIVE!!!!!

    Haley McAdams

  • This is genius!!! As an ASL student it was easily understood and fun to watch! Screw those who judge your great!!!!

  • he looks like david spade from dicky roberts with the gloves

  • I'm hard of hearing and I loved watching this. If there were no art to language, there would be no poems. [/discussion]

  • I loved, congratulationssssssssss...............uallllllll, parabéns pra você, very coollll

  • This made me genuinely happy.

  • this is so great! :D

    love it

  • you should check out marilyn manson's This is the new Sh#*t Interpretation!

    great job!

  • Yes! This is much better... keep goin 50hearts :)

  • love the video great job im still learning asl and i love seeing music videos cuz i learn more and love watching them ... do more vids cuz u sign really good

  • It's mostly SEE. =(

  • this is one of the most awesome ASL vids ever!!!! you sir, are too cool XD

  • this is so awesome! i love deaf culture and ASL AND lady gaga, this made my morning :)

  • I'm a little bit in love with this.

  • hee! I loved it - especially the gloves, hallway and everything in the red suit, lol.

  • great work, entertaining and good signing.

  • I think that was so badass.I'm currently learning sign language and I loved it!

  • I want your outfit

  • You remind me of a magician! Theatrical, and the emphasis on the hands. :) I enjoyed it. And because I notice the discussion going on with @coolbeans, I'll throw in my two cents, I'm not deaf and don't know ASL, but language can be used as art - that's what poetry is. A song sung in English is a form of artistic expression, so ASL can be artistic too precisely because it IS a language.

  • Enjoyed it tremendously ! Please create more videos such as this. Love

  • I think this is pretty awesome..and I don't think you're being disrespectful to the deaf culture whatsoever. The dancing is distracting just a bit, but who can't not dance when this song is on? lol :]

  • omg I love it!!! It was great! As a fellow signer...do you have any tips on doing ASL poems? -I'm dieing in class. XD

  • You got behind alot.

  • GREAT! BRAVO!

  • Genius how u recreate video,esp start&gloves,esp as,being bloke,u can't recreate porny aspects(w same interpretation in our soc).Interesting that you shoot from below2scenes,1feels like tripod-height choice,1actual choice:in feminist theory,porn is shot from above2make viewer unconsciously feel power,in control&art history theory old portraits(of rich normally)slightly from below so u feel slightly intimidated unconsc:therefore u empower u,t performer,counteracting porny aspects:well cool.BSLnxt

  • Genius how you recreate the video, which is clever because it's hardly the song that's the good part: especially at the start and the gloves, genius. It's harder because you're a bloke so can't recreate the porny aspect of things (with the same interpretation in our society as if you were female, anyway). Interestingly in two scenes you film from below - one feels like it's a tripod-height thing, one a choice: in feminist theory (me=hardcore oldstyle anarchofeminist) the fact a lot of porn is

  • Amazing!. Love it

  • Good Deal!

  • COOL

  • I am not saying that ASL is an art, although I do believe that any language has an artistic side to it, including spoken languages. I am an entertainer, so introducing dancing and choreographed moves is part of my personality, henceforth I blend the two. If you were an entertainer, would you be offended that I used sign language in my dance routines? No. Some people, both deaf and hearing, sign differently based on their personalities. It's not an uncommon issue.

  • @5oHearts In my opinion - if I may - I believe the spoken word can be an art. The written word can be an art. And the signed word can be an art. ...... That being said, I feel signing to music is an art. And, depending upon the signer's personality and deliverance - and the song, a sexy art at that. Personally, I like the musical aspect, the passion, and the intellect of a skill all rolled into one. :o)

  • Saying that sign-ing a song isn't art is like saying singing a song isn't art.

  • And as for respecting the language and the culture, you know nothing about my views, so don't judge me based off of a video that is seen through a media website. I have huge respect for both the Deaf Culture and the language.

  • @coolbeans1216 I think he's just singing with ASL i think its cute :o

  • @coolbeans1216 I understand what you mean about Deaf seeing it as a language and not an art, but from a hearing perspective it is. Quote from the movie Love is Never Silent, "Sign language isn't words, it's pictures." ASL is a highly beautiful and expressive language, and @5oHearts did an amazing job expressing the song.

  • @coolbeans1216

Coolbeans, I think that his method of signing is completely appropriate. He is signing a song, and the choreography is appropriate. It helps give the feel of the music, even to those who cannot here it. This is much more fun to watch than taking five minutes to sync a music video with a (possibly subpar) translation from someone sitting and signing in two different windows.

  • @coolbeans1216 it doesn't have to be painted to be art. Movies are art, music is art, books are art. And guess what, if there were no languages, there would never be books. You don't have to diminish worth of things just to preserve original intention, in this case of sign language. Plus, all art is expressing something, so all art is language of it's own.

  • @coolbeans1216 I found his videos interesting. And I am a hearing person who's major will be in Deaf Studies. I was more offended by your videos.

  • @coolbeans1216

    Cookbeans is a dick head

  • @coolbeans1216

    coolbeans is a dick head

  • @coolbeans1216 I work very closely with the deaf community and have performed songs in sign as an art form in front of them. I have had nothing but rave reviews. What some people call "hand dancing" IS a practiced art and is accepted by both deaf and hearing communities!

  • @coolbeans1216 by that logic singing is also insulting to what ever language is being sung in. language and art go together have you heard of asl poetry is it wrong that they are not merely communicating information but they are providing entertainment to others. art uses all mediums and language is one of them. anyone who thinks differently is most likely not even thinking this video was obviously made for entertainment as was the music if you can't deal with that don't get on the internet.

  • you are officially my favorite person.

  • Oh my God, you are my hero. Can we be friends?

  • this is very impressive..love it

  • great job with the video! it definitely helped me with some new words :)

  • i love it!

  • I love it. Last week was my first ASL class. I go tomorrow, and I am so damn excited. This video is helping me learn a few more words, awesome...thanks!!

  • I hope you do some of her other songs! Excellent!

  • This is really great!

    Sign language is so beautiful.

  • reminds me of that really strange part of napoleon dynamite where the sign language team does nsync or something. cool though.

  • very nice signing...thank you..i have to agree too very difficult in some parts of signing takes time......

  • pretty awesome^^

  • Awesome, thanks!

  • GREAT!

  • This was awesome and I enjoyed it greatly!!!

  • This was SO much fun to watch! lol

  • First of all, you did awesome, this was fun to watch. Second of all, I want to steal your hat. xD

  • i was hoping to learn this song in asl and it was difficult i dont get it

what type of video was this?? oh well!

  • This video is a theatrical mixture of SEE and ASL performed in a way that includes choreography as well as the art of sign language.

  • @5oHearts I think dance/ASL is the only way to perform songs in sign ;) Great videos!

  • @mnw106 god forbid you do any of the work yourself, you know? ;p lighten up!

  • wow, absolutely LOVE this.

    awsome job :)

  • Love the dancing!! Great video :)

  • AMAZING. lol and the top hat was a nice touch.

  • I do mean it as constructive criticism, there's no point to completely and utterly bashing someone.

  • My ASL professor told me that, in general, the open-minded Deaf people tend to like the "signed-English" version of songs better. I don't know if that is true of all Deaf culture. And I think most signed songs are going to be more of a translation, as many words do not directly translate into ASL. And naming your video ""Bad Romance' in Signed-English" makes it harder to find as a signed song. What you said was not incorrect, but was largely unnecessary.

  • Deaf individuals in general don't like signed music as much as hearing individuals do. It is primarily a hearing form of entertainment, this is not saying that Deaf individuals don't enjoy or can't enjoy musical interpretations because then can and many of my Deaf friends do. It is also possible to tag it as sign language because it is still a form of a signed language although SEE and PSE are not languages but a poor form of ASL that don't have their own structure.

  • SEE is a signed representation of English and PSE is a mix of SEE and ASL. you can always Tag it as ASL and label it as Signed-English. That is also an effective manner. Also it may say interpretation but interpreting is conceptual not literal which is why this is a translation.

  • I'm just making a point so people know the difference because many people don't know the difference. Also, it's in Deaf culture to be blunt. I didn't mean it in a derogatory sense, just as a suggestion.

  • Also, in the description it says that it is an interpretation.

  • omg your are amazing, that was the best

  • omg found my new dance moves!!! yay! thanks! more please!

  • Thanks. They are based off of Gaga's music video, lol.

  • Loved it! keep puttin' out on the tube! Your'e good!

  • Im sorry but this isnt ASL its Signed English, and more of a translation, sorry! I don't mean to be harsh, just a little constructive criticism.

  • Love it!

  • Arigato!!!!! Suteki!!!!

  • Haha, thisi s probably the best one I've seen of Bad Romance so far on Youtube. Great dancing!

  • AMAZING!!!! can u do speechless by lady gaga? :D

  • I liked it very much

  • wow you did a great job.

  • great video!

  • Thank you very much!

  • Tommy... this is by far one of the funniest videos. and i get to see my tattoo design :)

  • Thanks! :)

  • Ugly looked like Summer.

And this isn't ASL... Your grammar is more of a MCE like PSE or SE.

  • I am aware of that. I am working on my ASL. Thanks for the constructive criticism.
