@brightorb1 it's not the rule of two as SWTORFilms believes, that rule was put into effect 2,000 years later, malgus killed his master because he showed weakness by losing to someone who his own apprentice could kill, and he let them escape to warn the republic, but we don't know everything about this generation of sith's rules at this time, so maybe there is a better reason like the rule of two.
@SWTORFilms no problem, didn't mean to correct you, it can be a real hassle to keep track of the star wars canon, especially considering how often it changes to suit the needs of a new product, the problem with the sith, jedi, and the dark and light side of the force is that when you really think about it, none of it makes any sense within the confines of the star wars universe, I think the sith and jedi's true nature was better left a mystery until lucas screwed it up.
@SWTORFilms There are so many of these problems and contradictions that it's clear lucas didn't know what he was doing, such as the jedi being supposedly peaceful monks who kill, fight in wars, use cloned slave soldiers in these wars, live in a huge temple in the capital city when they should be living in a jungle forest temple away from the city where they can feel life flowing around them and be removed from worldly concerns, and the dichotomy between the sith and jedi is terrible.
@SWTORFilms I'm sure that Bioware's excellent storytelling will make the sith empire less obviously evil, and the jedi and republic far less dogmatic than in other star wars stories, which is yet another reason why lucas should step down and let better storytellers make star wars great again.
@SWTORFilms I think that's what will happen because Bioware has said that you can play as a light sided sith/imperial or a dark sided jedi/republic, with many more morally grey choices, such as a republic trooper being forced to choose between helping the republic by butchering imperials for dark side points, or hurting the republic by not performing such actions but by doing so you stay on the light side. These changes could be amazing if done properly.
there are 3 ways you can go about your story. you can be very kind, giving people second chances and refusing to slaughter your enemies. in conversations you are very polite and respectful, even to those who are bad. the second way is being an absolute ass. in conversation your a dick, disrespecting others, having a high ego. in actions you are quickly to kill people that stand in front of you. the third way is to be cool and not care. doing both evil and good.
Well Sith lords are always more powerfull than their rival Jedi,remember what happened in book"Darth Bane-Rule of the two" he was all alone fighting 3 Jedi,and eventually he killed them all,but we talk about Darth Bane,in my opinion the most powerfull and coolest Sith Lord ever,he could have killed Malgus only by the flick of his eye..!!!!
Lightsaber duelling - in the way it was intended for Star Wars - is just beautiful to watch...its a masterful art form whether Jedi or Sith. Either way, its people fighting at the best of their talents and though looked down on as silly posturing, and 'kiddy stick fighting', it has just the same rights as any sport, art expression style or even hobbie, to be called an absolute art form. If the world duelled with blades in this way, then honour would still be a worthy concept, as would chivalry.
then blur studio should make a small star wars series dealing in this star wars era, and when blue becomes amazingly rich and popular due to that small show, then they can make more shows and movies, star wars is a universe, its a well with endless water, if you can make something this fantastic, you have to make more

@wissam24 supposably there not clones and that's pre historic armor it's not exactly the same as clone armor the clones actually took the look years later it was like national troop armor back then

@theomen357 both marcus and the badass smuggler cowboy characters are voiced by john dimaggio, he voices characters in many videogames and western cartoons like bender from futurama, he's a great voice actor, nice to see him in the old republic.
@fabledpilgrim ha, video game companies love to sprinkle British accents in everywhere they can. Makes the game's voice actors sound more exotic and foreign to American audiences. Of course a lot of my fellow Americans wouldn't know a British accent from an Australian but what ever.

@TOPL200 Not sure who the chick with the Mortal Combat suit is but honestly I prefer this kind of canon to the prequels which almost ruined Star Wars for me. Star Wars has always been about epic space fantasy though, and incorporated things like space cowboys, samurai who can manipulate the world around them with their mind, and princesses, so if they continue to incorporate more fantasy elements into it I don't really mind.

I like a lot of this trailer but c'mon 1:13 the sith haven't been seen for hundreds of years and the guy just immediately states "The Sith Empire Has Returned!" ... thats it! - blown opportunity for some great drama. I don't want to bitch about a great trailer but that was handled a bit too casually. I Just want to see the story given as much care as the superb action sequences. That said, this game looks like it's gonna be Awesome.
@CatalystDestiny Probably not though because the Inquisitor starts as a slave, so Bioware said it wouldn't make sense to the story for the inquisitor to be a pureblood.

Obviously the saberstaff in off hand is just for an epic flashy effect but other than that it wouldn't make sense to put misleading class/race combos in their trailer
@TopshelfXPT700 Trust me i would jump at the chance of being a Pureblood SI if they are able to become one but i highly doubt it'll be so. This trailer proves that a Pureblood CAN be a SI that is true, but any race has the potential to be force sensitive. Bioware is huge on story, and if it doesn't make sense to the story it won't happen. Sorry to say, Pureblood SIs don't make sense to the SI story. We'll have to see. I hope i'm wrong or they at least give us the option in an expansion.

@sleek231 WHAT A JIP! I tried looking and found no evidence of Pureblood Inquisitor. Where did you find this? What i did find dashed my hopes is that the tester's testimones were playing on a "Dev Mode" which allowed for all race/class combinations. Which means that Purebloods can even be jedi knights or something crazy like that during testing.

Yes, this looks fantastic. Love the cowboy guy. Fucking epic. And the fight was incredible. Everyone's praising it. But the dialogue of the was so dry. "I sense a great darkness". "The Sith Empire has returned" Really? That's all you could give us. And the True Sith "This is only the beginning" most predictable line ever. And people bash the prequels for bad lines?

In KOTOR it was fairly abvious that if you called a guy an idiot you would be rewarded with dark side points. Hopefully that changes .

This is what people "picture" when they think of the game, I WISH it played that way.
Instead we have more generic style mmo combat, complete with tanks/healers/dps and things.
I still have hope it will be fun for the storyline, but I was hoping for something "different" gameplay wise then every other mmo out there.

@DarthMagnus19 Purebloods are confirmed, just so you know. There's gameplay footage of them, as well as testimonies from testers that you could play a pureblood as a warrior or inquisitor.

@sleek231 WHAT A JIP! I tried looking and found no evidence of Pureblood Inquisitor. Where did you find this? What i did find dashed my hopes is that the tester's testimones were playing on a "Dev Mode" which allowed for all race/class combinations. Which means that Purebloods can even be jedi knights or something crazy like that during testing.

Yes, this looks fantastic. Love the cowboy guy. Fucking epic. And the fight was incredible. Everyone's praising it. But the dialogue of the was so dry. "I sense a great darkness". "The Sith Empire has returned" Really? That's all you could give us. And the True Sith "This is only the beginning" most predictable line ever. And people bash the prequels for bad lines?
And I'm usually the one defending Star Wars for that kind of thing.
