  • hi, will a macbook pro late 2009 take a hard drive thats 12.5 mm high ?

  • Thanks - my HDD broke today and this video was a great help.

  • very dark my friend :)

  • What is the built in battery held in by?

  • how do you put Mac OS snow leopard on the HDD please get back to me =)

  • I backed up the HDD before upgrading my MB with Time Machine to an external USB drive. Then upgrade the HDD and restore the Time Machine backup from the HDD - it's very easy to do. You don't have to reinstall software and such - the restore from a Time Machine backup is one of the installation options during the first five minutes of setting up the new HDD.

  • use super duper buy a external hard drive enclourse and clone it use super duper

  • Thanks, very helpful!

  • I tried this on my macbook pro that i just bought saturday, and when i install it, i get a question mark on a folder, so the computer does come on. Do you know whats wrong?

  • thx for making this video, i hope it helps me when i change my 320GB Harddrive for a Intel X-25M SSD :)

i thought, nobody will make a Video of this, big thx again!

  • It has the 9400M which is a dedicated GPU. It doesn't come with two like the higher model has. That might have two fans but no one has verified that yet.

  • I think you only have one fan because your version of the macbook pro doesn't have a dedicated GPU.

  • Wow, that looks very simple. I believe this is the June 2009 release of the MBP?
