  • BEAUTIFUL car!!!

  • why would u ruin a classic car?

  • @Soundgarden8497 just to make you ask why...lol

  • @coyotegary just to make haters hate? that's fair enough... it will make it even better when i've got my z built and kick your ass in a street race ;)

  • @Soundgarden8497 Ihave a 2001 roush stage 3 that is way better eat these upall day. should have bought a roush

  • @TheBarrelgirl80

I have a 67 Mustang GT500E Super Snake... Ported polished balanced blueprinted AND supercharged 429 Cobra... 920 rwhp and 600 ft lbs of torque..Very rare car...Inherited from my dad and mom...Your 2001 Roushe series sounds great...It's a mustang..Mine's just a little more classic :)

  • nice ... you should go for an electric fan swap... any HP comes handy :p

  • @edgarinv good suggestion....i'm looking for one now that will have a nice clean look and fit for the aluminum radiator

  • Amazing video .... all that can be said...

  • Sorry to hear about your son. He would have loved it. Trust me.

  • WOW that is the best 260z i have seen great job your son would be very proud and have a big smile while looking down on you from heaven great job the next step would to replace the engine with a rb26det if you want to take it to the next level but dont do a thing to the body it is sex on wheels i would go down on that thing 4 hours

  • Makes me want to rip off all the EFI crap and airbox off my Z and throw it in the dumpster where it probably belongs.

  • im sorry to hear about the loss of your son, but yea, that is one helluva nice z car

  • wow! im gonna get a 70 boss mustang and do a skyline conversion on it...

  • Very Nice!!

Perhaps future option, RB26, or 2J, but its awesome as is!

  • how did you install the screen of the vents above the firewall looks great very original

  • @happynukes i cut out 1/8 aluminum sheets and fit them to each opening

  • That is one badass ride brother, I love that you stuck to your guns and kept the I6, they wind up beautifully and sound awesome. What kind of HP #'s does it make? Nice work and I'm sorry for the loss of your son, he would have been blown away by the final result. Enjoy the fruits of your labour, that thing rocks!!

  • ok usually i dont like what people do to Z's but that style does alot for it =]

  • really love the look of the car, beautiful! would have prefered a V8 in it instead, perhaps just a little 302/351 winsdor just to tie in with the cobra connection?

  • nah man, 427, go for originality!

  • sweet z motor sidedrafts would have been cool also. Whats the hp rating

  • i would have had to have put a v8 in to go with the cobra look but nothings wrong with the good ole L series

  • total package / fun car! I'm sure your son is ecstatic with your father son effort !

  • i am hoping my son is happy with the project. it was his first and only car. he has since passed away and has never seen his car re done in this direction.therapy for me mostly....

  • well you did a damn good job on it man, im sure he would have been proud!

  • Good for you dad. I'm sure your son is proud of it and was there with you all the way through the rebuild. God bless you!

  • That thing is nasty!!! Bravo!

  • hey man..very awesome car..very odd too i love it..but..its missing one thing i think..no offense or anything but i think it would look better with a front grill on it..instead of having that large space in the front..but either way its still an amazing car

  • Great project. I would have used the Triple carb setup myself. But, I like the sound and performance better. Although, I have not seen a comparison with a Triple DCOE 45, vs. a good tuned Holley/Edelbrock on an L series. You put a lot of work into that car. Shows, and looks amazing. Congrats!

  • You have been invited to.

    Horsepower Profiles. Com

  • im so sick. all these years i thought my dream car was a 70 camaro with all the new power toys. instead its a datsun with an I6! unique car to say the least. ur a true craftsman. hope its not to personal, but what did it cost to build?

  • glad you like it. it was a 9 month project and alot of work. my brother and myself did all the work so labor costs were at a minimum. i invested $25K in the project

  • Great ride! Very good of you to stick with the 6cyl! I own a First Gen 69 Firebird, 4.1L OHC I6 Cyl. I get more looks and conversations at the local cruise nights than the V-8 crowd with their cookie cutter setups. :)

  • very nice car, i wish you would have kept the original dashboard though, body kit is great looking, but i have one question what did you do with the battery? looks nice with it hidden

  • totally custom car front to back, inside and out , so i saw no reason to keep a stock heavy dash full of levers and knobs that would have no function. it is a lightened race car so now it has a 2 pound dash with only gauges. no fans, no heat , no a/c, no stereo...... battery is sunken into the rear floor next to the fuel cell

  • ahh i nice, i still like the looks of the original dashboard. do you know anything about the 240z? I have one and have a question.

  • @takulovesanime the battery is in the right rear floor . i cut it out and mounted a steel battery box at floor level

  • sweet car loving the old school l series i think the only thing that i would have done differently is considering your already running skyline rear suspention why not run a tt rb26 in it it would give you the powerplant of a skyline to go with it but thas just me i would love to do i skyline drivetrain in a z car :P

  • why not a v8??!!

  • i have 35 years factory experience working on Nissans. i build these engines myself and know every bolt that goes into making them work as well as the trannys. with the mods that have been done to it the power is very acceptable to the weight of the car.i enjoy building and working on it myself. i just got back from driving it over 150 miles to the track raced it 8 runs all day long and drove it home after a full day of racing. zero issues all day and night. so i ask you....why a V8?

  • ^_^ that shut me up! GOOOOO straight 6!!!!

  • lol...you crack me up man!!!

glad you like the car, V8 or not.

  • You have good taste

  • good work!

  • beautiful!

    thanks
