This song means a lot to me because I fell in love with someone and got my heart broken and I want to believe in love again but I don't know if I can. But I know that God loves me, that's not what I mean. I love God with all my heart and soul. I just don't know if I can ever love a person the same again. Is there anyone who can help me and share there wisdom with me? Because I could really use some encouragement right now. :/

@musicgirl2966 Catholics believe that they have to pray to Mary (Jesus' earthly mother) cause they don't think they are fit to pray to God Himself. Christians know that the reason Jesus came to earth to dies was so we could have a relationship with Him. Not his earthly mother. That's the whole reason He came to earth. Was to die for all of us and pay for our sins so that we can come to Him with our troubles and our praise

There are many other differences besides praying to Mary. For example, Catholics believe that there are 7 sacraments, while other Protestant branches have 3, 2, or even zero. Catholics also believe in "transubstantiation," which is a Communion term.

Most Protestants believe that it is bread and wine that only represent Jesus' Body and Blood. Now another branch, the Lutherans, believe that it is both at the same time. Catholics also want their babies to be baptized as an infant, so that they will remain Christian for the rest of their lives. Baptists let people choose to be Christian before they baptize.

@7Skilletfan I am Catholic, and as far as i understand it, we don't pray to Mary because we don't think we are fit to pray to God. We pray to God and Jesus just like everyone else, it's just sometimes we think Mary deserves credit as well.

@wowbw13 We don't pray to Mary all the time. She only has a couple of prayers. And Mary was quite important, it's not like she was an ordinary human, she carried Jesus despite being a virgin, and she was chosen by God. She was there when Jesus died, and ascended into heaven as a full person, not just her soul. She's a saint. Don't you pray to saints?

@musicgirl2966 catholics are christian.In fact,christians are seppared in 2 groups:the catholics and the and orthodox.I'm an orthodox..and i don't really know what are the differences.We believe in God, Jesus and Mary...but most of out prayers are for God and Jesus.In out church are all these paintings with all Saints...and we don't have Mary's statues.our windows ar really small so it's dark.To illuminate the room we use candels..and you cand find more searching on google
