You could also change the font from 12 to 12.5.

Between increasing the periods, and making a paper 2.2 spaced instead of double spaced the page count just keeps increasing. Love it

@thepspdaxter I know its kind of really late, but its because they can open the document in their own Word programs and check the settings to see if the margins or periods have been tampered with.

If you have a one page paper vs a two page paper the two page paper will have more periods because it has more sentences.

If it still has the same amount of sentences than you shouldn't have passed third grade grammar class and then you wouldn't even have to worry about this :)

Don't forget to add a second space after periods. This is an accepted and expected practice in many papers.

Its noticable because not every line is going to have a period. All it does is create more space when there are periods.

All I see is that the periods are a bit bigger, and the lines are a little but further away from each other.

High schools in my area are actually really strict on freshman font size. I would get no credit for size 18. Try not to generalize that all people younger than you have extremely low standards to meet? thnx
