Brenda Dickson was good at playing Jill as a bitchy sexpot, however, it was a bit over the top at times. Also, its not enough to sustain a long term role.

Seriously, if Brenda Dickson was still in this role 23 years later, she would have had to make this character more multi-dimensional, which is what Jess Walton did when she took over the role.

I liked BD during this era of Jill, however, IMO JW is a better actress.

Jess is great; but Brenda created this role. The two Jills are completely different. The acting, not so great, but the campness is fantastic.

A lot of people think that. I think she was great. I'm surprised for such an audience pleaser they fired her for apparently being difficult. Some say they got it wrong. I wouldn't mind if she came back because she's great but I grew up with Jess Walton before I saw Brenda so I don't mind Jess.
