Who wrote this song, Dido or Nutini? Did they write it together? It's really interesting to know the lyrics are almost the same. They sound different, though. I like both songs, but I'm curious about the songwriter.

The original version by Nutini was supposed to be a death lament to a very close friend of his, I'm sorry if i sound a bit pretentious but the only way to truly understand this song is to listen to Paolo Nutini's original version. I'm not talking down to Dido or anything, she has a great voice, she just took this song from the wrong direction
