Just wanted to say that actually Thandie is from England, hence the English accent. People from Scotland, Ireland and Wales also have their own accents but are still British because collectively they make up the United Kingdom.

She is British and what she does is called acting. So when she's in a movie where she plays an American, she has an American accent. By the way perfect English is British. Get an educatiion..

This accent is her natural accent. She is British, hence the English accent. As Horat1 already said when playing an American in a film she is putting on an American accent. It's called acting.
