Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives: Emma Jean's Holland Burger Cafe

This is Americana at (one of) it's best! While at the California Route 66 Museum, I purchased a Pete Morris watercolor of Holland Burger Cafe. Upon learning it was "just down the highway a bit," I had to go, ordering the recommended (giant) Brian Burger. Sure, In-N-Out is good, but for those of you who love nostalgia, the Holland Burger Cafe is simply a MUST stop for a delicious taste of historic Route 66.

I went there a few weeks ago and tried the Brians Burger. It was really good, but not the best thing ever. I've read a lot of posts about this place and I was looking forward to something maybe better then IN-N-OUT, but I would choose IN-N-OUT over here. I loved the bread and the chili was a nice touch and it was big enough for my mother and I to share and be full!! I still wanna try the trucker sandwich though

I've gone a few times for breakfast. Straight up no frills good 'ol American breakfast. The waitresses service puts the cherry on top of the whole experience. Emma Jeans in Victorville is definitely a little taste of Route 66 in it's heyday.

The Trucker sandwich is scrumdibblyumpsious!!!! I would drive clear across the country to have one,but seeing as i work 5 minutes away there's no need. The mushroom,bacon and swiss omelet is awesome too btw.
