i'm not sure if this counts as a bug, after the functión of the bird elfs if precisely prevent you from falling, and int hte Z1 and Z2 when you connected the final hit you used to automaticaly stop, and if your las move was an air atack it would mean falling to a hole nearby(i've lost more than a life for making this with the panter and the serpent an Z2(can't rememeber their names) so i guess they made this modification intentionally for prevent the frustation of such cases

It's probably because it's on easy mode. Because, on easy mode, when you fall to your doom, you will have about 3 seconds to fly around. Lol.
